  • Fast urbanization and industrialization have resulted in rapid changes in the urban environment. For effective monitoring and management of these changes, a new surveying methodology that is more inexpensive and timely than the conventional remote sensing system if required. This paper proposes an unmanned airship videographic system capable of acquiring stable video. In addition, it presents approaches to constructing a prototype facilities management system based on VideoGIS, which links GIS functions and video data to provide actual spatiotemporal information.

  • Fast economic growth resulted in fast industrialization and metropolitanization. At that time, housing was supplied in large quantity, and the apartment became a dominant type of housing in Korea It is partly due to the high population density. But, large quantity supply of apartments caused a lot of problems. One of the biggest problems is decomposition of traditional communities. As interest about quality of life grows since the 90's, the recovery of communities is getting an import assignment that should be solved. Architects investigate ways of arrangement and community facilities planning. off-line Communities might be substituted by or supported with cyber communities through the use of IT technology. The construction of cyber apartment is getting popular by the governmental incentive in 1999. At first, the infrastructure has been constructed, and then the current emphasis in on forming the information community to provide various service.

  • To cope with the serious housing shortage arising from rapid urbanization and industrialization, residential communities were constructed to meet the growing demand for housing. However, mass construction of these residential communities unavoidably resulted in uniformity standardization. In particular, for high rise apartment blocs using the ground floor as the center of the lower levels housings has raised problem of sunshine, airing, privacy. The research which it sees as the house low evaluation it is coming to become it plans a public facilities on lower levels of the building which keeps the quality which the ground connection and human scale back separates as, to solve the problem point of the lower levels house and the resident collective life which is smooth becomes accomplished.

  • Through the courses of industrialization, speedy growth and pluralism. The problems about the environment- friendly structures have become very important problem. Especially, it is getting highly appear to the expectation about the environment friendly buildings in Kangwon-do where has greacefully clean environment. The guide line for Kangwon-do can be arranged to the following through the varity analysis, outside enviroment, color, construction materials, outside design etc the guide line for Kangwon-do can be arranged as to the followings. It appears to be suitable to country houses in kangwon-do that is made of timber or red-bricks with green half circled roof and give a sense of warmth and soft. but the coastal area village is appeared wave style roof with orange color and surrounded by natural building stones or a line- plastered wall making complicated.

  • Domestic hospital architectures were developed with the nation's industrialization after 1960s. Particularly, with the rapidly growing healthcare demands according to The National Health Insurance Plan which was introduced in 1977 and expanded to entire nation in 1989, the number of healthcare facility is also increasing according to the expansion of the existing facilities and construction of new buildings. Now, twenty to thirty years were past since that growing period of healthcare architecture. Many hospitals are facing on the phase of restructuring and modernization for their resources. J university hospital is a representative case of hospital development which the growth of facility was stopped by insufficient site area. This study, analysing its past statistics and drawing data of that hospital, presents the characteristics of the changes and basic data of the master planning for the future hospital development.

  • The standard of living has been getting higher by reason of industrialization and economic growth. It makes people have more cultural desire(wants). Because of reasons mentioned above, a number of entertainment place and performance with high-tech is increased. This has been brought also increasing a number of electrical accident such as electrical shock, electrical fires and accidents of electrical facilities. This paper suggests technical, operational and special precautions of actual electric main line systems in entertainment places and is also written on the purpose of being applied with related provisions to designing electrical facilities, construction, check-up and inspection and maintenance for preventing further electrical disasters in entertainment places.

  • Because of the rapid industrialization and urbanization, urban dwellers are lack of opportunity to contact with nature, and hence alienated from it. In particular, primary school children who are very sensible to nature need more opportunities to learn nature by direct interactions with it. For this purpose, a movement for making and using ecological learning-place in play-ground within primary school. It has been found as a result of research on ecological learning-places in 7 primary schools in Daegu that such places, equipped with several ecological facilities, provide both pupils and local dwellers around schools with a place for ecological learning and for rest. But some of them have been left without care and hence can not be properly used, because of inappropriate site, insufficient facilities, and deficient programme for practical use. In conclusion, the paper reconfirms importance of ecological learning-place within grounds of primary school in terms of its educational, social and ecological effects, and suggests briefly some measures to encourage its construction and practical use.

  • PGV(Plasma Gasification & Vitrification) system has been developed based on a pyrolysis melting gasification technology that provides the possibilities of acquiring renewable energy. As volume of wastes increases with the rapid industrialization and population growth, eco friendly disposal is drawing more social attention. Pyrolysis plasma technology is regarded as the best environmentally friendly process for the waste disposal among numerous waste disposal processes. Introduced in this paper is the behavior of the plasma torch and a computational fluid simulation dynamics is discussed for designing the melting furnace. Some PGV applications have also been discussed.
