Model Development for Increasing Shippers′ Attraction of Small and Medium Ports: With the Focus on Kunsan Ports (중소형항만의 화주유인증대를 위한 모형개발에 관한 연구 - 군산항을 중심으로-)

  • Although the small and medium ports are actually competing with various strategies, the definition and structural understanding of small and medium ports are not known very much. Therefore this study has launched from this fact, and has the objective of obtaining the structural model for increasing shippers' attraction of small and medium ports. The process began by abstracting the components that composed the success factors through recent research, and grouping it by FA(Factor Analysis) method. Also, by using the FSM(Fuzzy Structural Modeling) method to understand the structure of the grouped components, and the structural model for increasing shippers' attraction of small and medium ports was able to obtain as the result. When analyzing the obtained structural model, easiness of shipment, connection to hubport and efficiency of hinterland network came out to be the most important component groups.

The Characteristics of the Ozonation of phenol wastewater by the variation of pH using the continuous PCR and BCR (연속식 PCR과 BCR에서 pH 변화에 따른 페놀 폐수의 오존처리특성에 관한 연구)

  • This study was performed to estimate the ozonation characteristics of phenol wastewater with increasing pH in the continuous packed column reactor (PCR) and the bubble column reactor (BCR). Among various influencing factors that affect phenol on decomposition through the ozonation, pH was chosen as reaction parameter. Upon increasing pH from 3 to 9, the phenol removal efficiency in PCR was improved approximately by 17% while in BCR approximately by 19.2%. The improvements in the phenol removal efficiency by increasing pH caused the enhancements in ozone utilization efficiency reaching almost 100% in PCR at pH 9. In conclusions, ozone has latent power for phenol wastewater treatment, and the performance of PCR was superior to that of BCR in the aspects of phenol removal and ozone utilization efficiency.

Characteristics of Fracture Energy on Steel Fiber-Reinforced Lightweight Polymer Concrete

  • In this study, unsaturated polyester resin, artificial lightweight coarse aggregate, artificial lightweight fine aggregate, heavy calcium carbonate and steel fiber were used to produce a steel fiber-reinforced lightweight polymer concrete with which mechanical properties were examined. Results of this experimental study showed that the flexural strength of unnotched steel fiber-reinforced lightweight polymer concrete increased from 8.61 to 13.96 MPa when mixing ratio of fiber content increased from 0 to 1.5%. Stress intensity factors($K_{IC}$) increased with increasing fiber content ratio while it did not increase with increasing notch ratio. Energy release rate ($G_{IC}$) turned out to depend upon the notch size, and it increased with increasing steel fiber content.

  • Growth mixture modeling was used to identify types of changes in overt aggression from Grades 4 to 7 among a sample from the Korean Youth Panel Survey. Three discrete patterns were found to adequately explain changes of overt aggression in both boys and girls : Persistent intermediate aggression; Increasing aggression; and Decreasing aggression. Most boys (93%) fell into the Persistent intermediate aggression group and 49% of girls were found to fall into the Increasing aggression group. This suggests that prevention programs should recognize that girls are at risk of increasing aggression in their early adolescence. Multinomial logistic regression analysis shows that self-control, child abuse, peer support, and involvement with deviant peers at Grades 4 were all strongly associated with trajectory class membership. These associations did not differ by gender. These findings suggest that prevention programs should focus on the multiple risk factors of both boys and girls.

Photodegradation of Pyrene, Chrysene and Benzo[a]pyrene in Water (I) (수중의 Pyrene, Chrysene 및 Benzo[a]pyrene의 광분해(I))

  • The photodegradation of pyrene, chrysene and benzo[a]pyrene, that were similar in structure among poly-cyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAMs), were investigated in water irradiated with a low-pressure mercury lamp (wavelength of 253.7 nm and UV output of 1.35 ${\times}$ 10$\^$-3/J/s). The effects of several factors (t-BuOH, HCO$_3$$\^$-/ and pH) on photodegradation of above three PAHs were also examined. The photodegradation rates of PAHs decreased with increasing the concentration of t-BuOH, but decreased little with increasing the concentration of HCO$_3$$\^$-/ under the concentrations used in this study. The photodegradation rates of PAHs decreased with increasing pH, but their change were greater in case of pH increase from acid to neutral and were little in case of pH increase from neutral to base. The photodegradation rates of PAMs fitted a first-order kinetic model and their photodegradation rates decreased in the following sequences: pyrene>chrysene>benzo[a]pyrene among the PAHs used.

Therefore, desire of readers about electronic book practical use is increasing based on convenience and economic performance of electronic book. 1971, Michael S. Hart established Project Gutenberg to produced first electronic book because inputs American Independence Declaration Statement by computer and produce more electronic books. After that, an electronic book technology repeats several times development and American electronic book take is increasing rapidly. Sales volume of electronic books is dramatically increasing in Korea since digital device such as Smart phone and Tablet PC became popular. This research attempts to analyze factors influencing on shifting from paper book to electronic book. Results of this research proposed grounds for building business strategy. Finding is the factor of social influence is only significant to acceptability intention. It means user of e-Book enhance their acceptability intention along social phenomena.

  • This study investigates mechanical properties of the concrete using coarse particle cement which is manufactured by the classifying process. The variable factors are 3 types of W/C such as 40, 50, and 60% and 5types of the replacement of the coarse particle cement such as 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100%. As the results, amount of SP agent to secure the target fluidity is gradually declined in accordance with increasing CC replacement. There is no special tendency for target air content, but setting time is delayed according to increasing CC content. The peak of the simple adiabatic temperature rise is gradually decreased in accordance with increasing CC content, and approach time to peak is slightly delayed. The compressive strength is comparatively delayed.

Factors Affecting on Quality Evaluation of Citrus unshiu Produced in Cheju (제주산 온주밀감의 품질평가에 미치는 요인)

  • Soluble solids($^{\circ}$Brix), acid content and edible part ratio of Citrus unshiu collected at sorting Places in south Cheju area wee more lowered, and peel thickness was more thickened with increasing fruit size. Compared to early variety of Citurs unshiu(C. unshiu Miyakawa Mar), peel thickness of medium variety of Citurs unshiu(C. unshiu Hayashi Mar) was more thickened, and edible part ratio was more lowered with increasing fruit size. Soluble solids of medium variety of Citurs unshiu were lowered, and acid contents were increased compared to early variety. Processing properties for pressing concentrated juice was good for early variety of Citurs unshiu, especially on fruit diameter of 50-65mm. Soluble solids, acid contents and juice ratio were decreased with increasing peel thickness. The quality properties for fresh fruit with peel thickness had a good correlation on early variety of Citurs unshiu, and these data are supposed to be applied to the quality evaluation of Citurs unshiu produced in Cheju.

  • In this paper, frequency analysis has been done for functionally graded cylindrical shell with ring supports using Sander's shell theory. The vibrations of rotating cylindrical shells are analyzed for different physical factors. The fundamental natural frequency is investigated for different parameters such as: ratios of length-to-diameter ring supports. By increasing different value of height-to-radius ratio, the resulting backward and forward frequencies increase and frequencies decrease on increasing height-to-radius ratio. The frequencies for different position of ring supports are obtained in the form of bell shaped. The backward frequencies increases and forward frequencies decrease on increasing the rotating speed. The results generated furnish the evidence regarding applicability of present shell model and also verified by earlier published literature.

How Desirable is the Medium? Effect of Point Accumulation Scheme on Consumer Loyalty Toward Reward Program

  • An accruable point scenario study was applied to examine the effect of the point-accumulation trend (diminishing vs. increasing) and the nominal value (small vs. large) of a medium for repeated consumption on program loyalty. The results showed that both factors affect consumer loyalty toward a reward program. Consumers who received a medium with an increasing accumulation trend and a large nominal value perceived a reward to be more valuable than those who received a diminishing trend and a small nominal value. The results confirmed that a large nominal value or an increasing accumulation trend increased the perception of reward and program loyalty. However, when the desirability of the medium was controlled, the effect of trend was reduced to almost negligible whereas that of the nominal value remained the same. These findings suggest how consumer perceptions of loyalty programs can be practically managed through point accumulation processes.
