  • The construction industry has a higher mortality rate of accidents than other industries although safety is recently being more important, and it has become a serious problem that needs to be improved. To reduce the number of accidents at construction sites, improving the safety awareness of construction workers is urgent because the lack of safety awareness is one of the key reasons for construction accidents. For this reason, this study compares and analyzes the safety awareness of construction managers and construction workers. Our research shows that the safety awareness of construction workers is lower than that of construction managers, and they have a different perspective on safety management. The development plan for improving the safety awareness of construction workers based on these results is proposed, and it will potentially help reducing the frequency of accidents at building construction sites.

  • The government has defined domestic violence as one of the four major social evils and tried to prepare laws and systems to prevent it. Nevertheless, domestic violence has emerged as a serious social issue, and compare to the number of domestic violence cases that are constantly increasing, the report rate of domestic violence is significantly lower. This suggests the need to improve citizens' perception of domestic violence as the issue to solve it together in society, not as a private matter at home. Most of existing contents for preventing domestic violence and improving awareness are simple viewing forms of video contents, which have little effect on recognition. We aim to confirm the possibility of improving social awareness about domestic violence by producing Virtual Reality (VR) contents that have great features of user's immersion and empathy. In this VR content, the user can interact with various objects in the virtual reality of domestic violence and directly or indirectly experience the victim's position. Users who view the violent environment from the victim's point of view can have a subjective empathy for the problem, which is expected to induce more active awareness about domestic violence.

  • The pilot's aeronautical decision-making during the flying greatly affects flight safety, and the importance of situational awareness has been greatly emphasized as a prerequisite for making the right decision. This is the reason why more research and interests are needed to help students entering the pilot training program develop excellent situational awareness from the initial stage of training. Situational awareness is closely related to long-term memory activities in human information processing, and pedagogy and cognitive psychology have emphasized the encoding techniques as an effective long-term memory method. This study was conducted to confirm whether pilot students' using the encoding techniques to learn flight education materials in the early stage of their training at domestic universities has a positive effect on improving their situational awareness.

  • Objectives: The objective of this study is to provide basic data needed in developing an educational program designed to upgrade capacity and awareness of preventive dental treatment among oral health workers, by analyzing levels of awareness of preventive dental treatment and educational needs among dentists and dental hygienists. Methods: The collected data was analyzed with SPSS program ver. 19.0. The data was under t-test. Results: The frequency level of giving preventive dental treatment to patients among dentists and dental hygienists is below mid-point, 3 on the 5-point Likert scale. In terms of frequency level per item, scaling & polishing was ranked the highest, followed by periodontal maintenance, tooth-brushing instruction, and prescription and instruction of oral care product in descending order. On the questions asking how important preventive dental care they perceive to be, both dentists and dental hygienists perceived it to be highly important. When they were asked to rank those items by the importance of education, they considered periodontal maintenance as the most important one, followed by individual education of oral health, incremental oral health care, scaling& polishing, toothbrushing instruction, and prescription and instruction of oral care product. Respondents pointed out problems in running a preventive dental treatment program as follows: overwork, lack of dedicated workforce, un-fixed costs, and lack of necessary equipment. When they were asked to point out items needed to run such a program, the largest number of respondents indicated dedicated workforce placement, followed by improving awareness of the customer, and improving awareness of the dental workers. Conclusions: In order to effectively run a preventive dental treatment program, it is necessary for oral health workers to clearly understand the concept of it. It is also necessary to develop and operate an education program on preventive dental treatment targeting oral health professionals.

  • Universities are one of leading R&D institutes, however, their scarce security investment allows research information to leak outside. This paper proposes methods for improving security level of academic institutes to protect research information by analyzing security awareness and activities. To do that, we verified the current status of information security and awareness level by analyzing the survey which was conducted for a member of Seoul National University. As a result of statistical analysis using correlation, analysis of variance, multi regression and so on, we concluded that it is essential to improve security awareness, activities, professor's security level and management process for research labs. Thus, we suggest the following methods, security awareness and knowledge development through education, security management for research labs through provision, introduction of data protection softwares and physical control of visitors which are to be adopted to improve security level.

Analysis data were collected through online and offline questionnaires for 320 middle-aged people for 10 days from August 15, 2021, and the SPSS WIN 23.0 program was used. As for the analysis method, frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, and correlation analysis Baron & Kenny (1986) were performed in three stages of regression analysis. The research results showed First, that physical health awareness and depression of middle-aged people had a statistically significant effect on life satisfaction. Second, in the relationship between physical health awareness and life satisfaction, self-esteem showed a partial mediating effect.
