원자로 동특성 방정식의 수치해석에 관한 연구 (Study on the Numerical Analysis of Nuclear Reactor Kinetics Equations)

  • 2차원 다군 확산 이론에 의한 원자로 동특성 방정식의 해를 구하기 위해서 two-step alternating direction explicit method를 도입하였다. Alternating direction implicit method의 특별한 경우로써 이 방법의 정확도 및 안전성을 해석하였다. 이 방법의 타당성을 시험하기 위해서 TWIGL 전산조직에 사용한 implicit difference method와 비교하여 두 방법의 결과가 일치함을 알았다. 이 방법을 이용하여 가압경수형 원자로(PWR)의 제어봉 삽입시의 중성자 신속의 시간변화와, CANDU-PHW 원자로의 가상된 냉각재상실 사고시의 중성자 신속의 시간변화를 계산하여 이들 원자로의 제어능력을 확인하였다.

Partitioned coupling strategies for fluid-structure interaction with large displacement: Explicit, implicit and semi-implicit schemes

  • In this paper the unsteady fluid-structure interaction (FSI) problems with large structural displacement are solved by partitioned solution approaches in the arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian finite element framework. The incompressible Navier-Stokes equations are solved by the characteristic-based split (CBS) scheme. Both a rigid body and a geometrically nonlinear solid are considered as the structural models. The latter is solved by Newton-Raphson procedure. The equation governing the structural motion is advanced by Newmark-${\beta}$ method in time. The dynamic mesh is updated by using moving submesh approach that cooperates with the ortho-semi-torsional spring analogy method. A mass source term (MST) is introduced into the CBS scheme to satisfy geometric conservation law. Three partitioned coupling strategies are developed to take FSI into account, involving the explicit, implicit and semi-implicit schemes. The semi-implicit scheme is a mixture of the explicit and implicit coupling schemes due to the fluid projection splitting. In this scheme MST is renewed for interfacial elements. Fixed-point algorithm with Aitken's ${\Delta}^2$ method is carried out to couple different solvers within the implicit and semi-implicit schemes. Flow-induced vibrations of a bridge deck and a flexible cantilever behind an obstacle are analyzed to test the performance of the proposed methods. The overall numerical results agree well with the existing data, demonstrating the validity and applicability of the present approaches.

  • The convergence acceleration methods for the compressible Wavier-Stokes equations are studied ,which are multigrid method and implicit preconditioned multistage time stepping method. In this paper, the performance of implicit preconditioning methods are studied for the full-coarsening multigrid methods on the high Reynolds number compressible flow computations. The effect of numerical flux on the convergence are investigated for the inviscid and viscous calculations.

  • 3차원 유한 차분 빔전파 방법의 계산시간 및 수렴성 문제를 해결하기 위해서 implicit와 explicit 방법을 결합하는 복합 방법(hybrid method)을 제안하였다. 방향성 결합기의 결합길이를 결정하는 문제를 대상으로 제안된 방법과 implicit 방정식의 해를 직접 구하는 방법의 계산 시간을 비교하였다. 그 결과 직접 풀이법에 비해 제안된 방식의 계산 속도가 최소 10배 이상 빠름을 확인하였다.

A dissipative family of eigen-based integration methods for nonlinear dynamic analysis

  • A novel family of controllable, dissipative structure-dependent integration methods is derived from an eigen-based theory, where the concept of the eigenmode can give a solid theoretical basis for the feasibility of this type of integration methods. In fact, the concepts of eigen-decomposition and modal superposition are involved in solving a multiple degree of freedom system. The total solution of a coupled equation of motion consists of each modal solution of the uncoupled equation of motion. Hence, an eigen-dependent integration method is proposed to solve each modal equation of motion and an approximate solution can be yielded via modal superposition with only the first few modes of interest for inertial problems. All the eigen-dependent integration methods combine to form a structure-dependent integration method. Some key assumptions and new techniques are combined to successfully develop this family of integration methods. In addition, this family of integration methods can be either explicitly or implicitly implemented. Except for stability property, both explicit and implicit implementations have almost the same numerical properties. An explicit implementation is more computationally efficient than for an implicit implementation since it can combine unconditional stability and explicit formulation simultaneously. As a result, an explicit implementation is preferred over an implicit implementation. This family of integration methods can have the same numerical properties as those of the WBZ-α method for linear elastic systems. Besides, its stability and accuracy performance for solving nonlinear systems is also almost the same as those of the WBZ-α method. It is evident from numerical experiments that an explicit implementation of this family of integration methods can save many computational efforts when compared to conventional implicit methods, such as the WBZ-α method.

매개변수 곡선을 이용한 음함수 곡면의 모델링 도구 개발 (Development of Modeling Tool for Implicit Surface using Parametric Curve)

  • Recent times have seen the introduction of modeling technologies using implicit surface and marching cubes algorithm in the field of computer graphics. Implicit surface modeling is used to express characters or fluid. This study presents a calculation method for the density of curve skeletal primitives using parametric curve and implements an implicit surface modeling tool by utilizing Maya API. Skeletal primitives can be assembled and utilized in character modeling using the implemented modeling tool. Results could be obtained more effectively compared to existing particle-based methods.

  • Hydroforming is a method for forming circular tubes. If this technology is to be applied economically, it is essential to have knowledge of the avoidance of failure cases as well as of the behavior of the tube in the tool under the compressive stress and forces that are exerted by the machine. A finite element simulation for manufacturing of lower arm from straight tubes, using the hydroforming method, was performed to investigate the effects of varying process parameters. Explicit method is used to simulate hydroforming in many cases, but that is not included flow rule. And then it needs simulation for implicit method. It was simulated by two methods, implicit and explicit, to compare the result of the hydroforming.

  • In this paper, we study generalized implicit variational-like inclusions and $J^{\eta}$-proximal operator equations in Banach spaces. It is established that generalized implicit variational-like inclusions in real Banach spaces are equivalent to fixed point problems. We also establish relationship between generalized implicit variational-like inclusions and $J^{\eta}$-proximal operator equations. This equivalence is used to suggest a iterative algorithm for solving $J^{\eta}$-proximal operator equations.

복셀로 표현된 임플리시트 곡면을 위한 시프트(shifted) 더블 Z-버퍼 앤티 앨리어싱 (A Double Z-buffer Antialiasing Method for Voxelized Implicit Surfaces)

  • 본 논문은 복셀(voxel)로 표현된 임플리시트(implicit) 곡면에 새로운 앤티 앨리어싱 방법을 적용하여 저해상도에서도 양질의 이미지를 구현하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 임플리시트 곡면은 독창적인 3-D 모델링과 제어 방법을 만들며 과학 유사 분야와 의료영상 가시화 부분, 애니메이션 원형과 의료용 시뮬레이션, 대화식 모델링 같은 분야에 많이 이용되고 있다. 레이 트레이싱이나 텍스쳐 맵핑으로 표현된 임플리시트 곡면에서의 앤티 앨리어싱 방법은 일반적으로 stochastic 샘플링 방법이 많이 사용되고 있지만 이 방법은 복잡한 함수로 표현된 임플리시트 곡면에 더 많은 어렵고 복잡한 계산을 요구하며 이에 따라 처리시간과 비용이 많이 든다. 반면에 복셀로 표현되는 임플리시트 곡면은 고해상도를 사용하여 부드러운 이미지를 나타내고 있지만 시간이 많이 걸리는 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 시프트(shifted) 더블 Z-버퍼 앤티 앨리어싱 방법를 제안하였다. 시프트(shifted) 더블 Z-버퍼를 이용한 앤티 앨리어싱 방법 외에 box 필터와 tent필터를 적용하여 앤티 앨리어싱 효과를 증가시킨 곡면 이미지를 구현하였다. 결론적으로, 시프트(shifted) 더블 Z-버퍼 앤티 앨리어싱 방법은 간단하고 효율적인 방법이며 여러 형태의 필터링 적용이 가능하고 멀티 Z-버퍼로의 확장성이 좋다.
