스마트 인터페이스를 위한 뇌파의 게임몰입 분석 (Analysis of Game Immersion using EEG signal for Computer Smart Interface)

  • Recently computer games have been widely spread. For the purpose of studying brain activities, EEG was measured during the computer game and analyzed in terms of channels and frequency bands. EEG data were obtained during the resting state and game immersion. Then the power spectra of alpha, beta and theta bands were computed. During game immersion, the ratio between theta / alpha could effectively differentiate between rest and game immersion. Changes in brain activity (26~53%) were observed in the parietal and occipital lobes. Interestingly, immersion shows different features compared to concentration. The state of game immersion could be detected. Therefore, it is possible to utilize the state of immersion as one of the game parameters or to generate a control signal that may be used to provide a warning message or abort the game when the situation of the excessive indulgence in the game reaches. EEG can be applied as smart interface for computer game.

  • 본 연구에서는 게임 내 들어가는 광고를 목적과 기대효과에 따라 분류 후, 게임 사용자 몰입요소를 제작설계단계, 사용자 인터페이스, 몰입적 재미요소 단계로 구분하여 분류 적용하였다. 이를 통하여 현재 진행중인 IGA 비즈니스 모델을 분석, 게임 내 광고의 사용자 몰입요소를 중심으로 발전하는 방향을 분석 연구 하였다. 이를 통하여 최근 게임 내 광고는 다양한 게임 몰입요소에 광고 접근을 확인할 수 있다.

  • 가상현실을 이용한 체험교육은 몰입을 통한 학습 효과성을 검증하며 의료분야에서 적극적으로 활용되고 있으나 가상현실 내에서 학습 몰입에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 문헌 연구를 통해 인터페이스의 사용성 및 인지적 어포던스 평가 요소를 추출하고 가상현실 의료 콘텐츠 4종을 선정하여 전문가 대상 사용성 평가를 실시하였다. 이를 종합하여 가상현실 의료 술기 콘텐츠에 따른 인터페이스 설계 방안을 제안하였다. 내용을 요약하면, 정보를 제공하는 인터페이스는 가시성, 체험자의 시선과의 거리, 색감의 조화, 통일감 있는 시각화, 피드백, 반응 속도, 조작에 따른 예상된 변화로 인해 몰입에 영향을 끼치며 인터페이스를 통해 제공하는 정보의 의미와 용어가 명확해야 몰입을 해치지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 제한된 콘텐츠를 이용하여 일반화에는 한계가 있어, 이후 지속적인 연구를 통해 체험자가 학습의 맥락을 익히고 파악하기 위한 인터페이스 설계에 표준화된 가이드 개발 및 사용자 관점의 인터페이스 설계 연구에 대한 정밀화가 논의되기를 기대한다.

초음파 수침법을 이용한 터빈베어링 Babbitt금속 박리 검사 기술 (Implementation of Ultrasonic Immersion Technique for Babbitt Metal Debonding in Turbine Bearing)

  • 이 연구는 터빈베어링의 신뢰성을 평가하기 위하여 초음파 C-Scan 방법을 적용한 기술이다. 수침법에 관한 연구는 실험실과 현장검사 적용에 광범위하게 사용되는 기술이다. 여기에서는 C-Scan 방법을 이용하여 베어링의 모재와 Babbitt 금속간 경계부의 상태를 평가하였다. 수침법 C-Scan 방법에 의한 초음파 영상은 베어링 경계부의 상태를 확인하는데 효과적인 방법으로 사용될 수 있었다. 초음파 영상의 분해능을 높이기 위하여 집속형 탐촉자를 사용하고, Babbitt 금속과 베어링 모재간의 접합경계면에서 발생하는 초음파 음압 반사율을 측정하여 결함의 검출과 면적을 추정할 수 있었다. 초음파 수침법은 베어링 접합부의 박리위치와 박리면적의 경계면을 결정하여 크기를 계산하는데 아주 유용하게 사용될 수 있는 기술이며, 이 연구에서 개발된 기술은 화력발전소에서 사용되고 있는 터빈베어링의 건전성을 확보하는데 적용되었다.

스트란드형 유리섬유 강화 복합재료의 특수환경에 대한 내구성 시험 (Durability Test on E-Glass Fiber Reinforced Composites of Strand Type in Specific Environment)

  • The effect of various environmental conditions on the durability of E-glass fiber/vinylester resin composites have been investigated using the tensile test specimen of strand type. It was found that the durability test method performed by the stand type specimen was more convenient and reliable than other conventional test method. The weight gains increased with the immersion time in both water and alkaline solution, and the Weight gains at $50^{\circ}C$. were much bigger than those at $20^{\circ}C$ in both conditions. The tensile strength decreased with the pass of immersion time in all aqueous solution, and the tensile strength at $80^{\circ}C$ in alkaline solution decreased very steeply at beginning of immersion time. The decrement of tensile strength according to the immersion time in various environmental conditions was mainly caused by the degradation of interface and the damage of glass fiber surface.

Transmission Electron Microscopy Characterization of Early Pre-Transition Oxides Formed on ZIRLOTM

  • Corrosion of zirconium fuel cladding is known to limit the lifetime and reloading cycles of fuel in nuclear reactors. Oxide layers formed on ZIRLO4^{TM}$ cladding samples, after immersion for 300-hour and 50-day in a simulated primary water chemistry condition ($360^{\circ}C$ and 20 MPa), were analyzed by using the scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM), in-situ transmission electron microscopy (in-situ TEM) with the focused ion beam (FIB) technique, and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Both samples (immersion for 300 hours and 50 days) revealed the presence of the ZrO sub-oxide phase at the metal/oxide interface and columnar grains developed perpendicularly to the metal/oxide interface. Voids and micro-cracks were also detected near the water/oxide interface, while relatively large lateral cracks were found just above the less advanced metal/oxide interface. Equiaxed grains were mainly observed near the water/oxide interface.

Al-9Si-0.3Mg 주조용 합금에서 Sludge 형성이 금형소착 반응층 두께에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Sludge Formation on the Thickness of Die Soldering Reaction Layer in Al-9Si-0.3Mg Casting Alloy)

  • Effect of reaction time and sludge formation on the thickness of die soldering reaction layer has been studied in Al-9Si-0.3Mg casting alloy. Ternary ${\alpha}_{bcc}-Al_8Fe_2Si$ and ${\alpha}_{hcp}-Al_8Fe_2Si$ intermetallic compounds formed at the interface of SKD61 tool steel by interaction diffusion of Al, Fe and Si atoms after 0.5hr and 6hr immersion time, respectively. Binary ${\eta}-Fe_2Al_5$ additionally formed at the interface of SKD61 tool steel after 10hr immersion time. Thickness of soldering reaction layer in die surface increased as immersion time increased from 0.5hr to 24hr. Sludge formation was ascertained in the samples which were immersed in the melts more than 10hr. Reaction of die soldering after sludge formation was more accelerated than that of before sludge formation due to a decrease in Fe content, followed by higher diffusion rate of Al in the melt by sludge formation.

Measurement of the Internal Structure of an Optical Waveguide Embedded in a Flexible Optical Circuit Board by Enhancing the Signal Contrast of a Confocal Microscope

  • In this study, the internal structure of an optical waveguide embedded in a flexible optical circuit board is observed with a confocal microscope. In order to increase the light reflection from an internal material interface with a very small index difference, and thus enhance the signal contrast, a theta microscopy scheme has been integrated into a conventional confocal microscope, and a high NA oil-immersion lens has been used. The interface reflectivity is increased from roughly 0.0015% to 0.025% by the proposed method, and the internal structure can thus be successfully measured.

  • New media which appeared in accordance with the development of IT technology includes elements of the interaction to be developed as an interactive media. In the field of interactive media which can be most actively applied, there is the filed of experience exhibition based on the active participation of people who experienced. Interactive media applied to the experience exhibition area, in order to have an effective communication that is based on a high degree of immersion, has been utilized as a platform for educational contents. This study is intended to explore the elements of visual perception for developing an optimized interface in the perspective of children who are the main subject of educational contents to present the criteria for the development of an interface for children. Thus, this paper derives the elements by the analysis of the visual perception elements of children and the experiment for the immersion environment. By analyzing the results, this study is to present the criteria of the visual perception elements for the development of interactive media contents for children.
