  • This study endeavors to propose factors that should be intensively managed by using an IPA model to analyze the strengths of military logistics. Based on the improvement measures, we constructed a questionnaire with 5 points of Likert scale and analyzed the importance and satisfaction through SPSS 23. Examination of several evaluation factors revealed 'expansion of and modernization storage facilities' as the most important factor, 'merger and abolition of regional logistics work' (3.56) had the highest satisfaction level. Factors involving the expansion and modernization of the storage facilities showed the largest difference between importance level and satisfaction level, at 2.01. This indicates the necessity for an overall review of the expansion and modernization of storage facilities related to military logistics. This study aims to identify the areas that should be improved firstly in military logistics and concentrate on management to create more effective results. Thus it suggests that this study has a concentration on management for the streamlining of military logistics.

  • Historically, government has facilitated logistics by building the airports, the seaports, the rail and transit lines, subsidized their operations where necessary, and established the basic laws and regulations pursuant to which the industry serves the public. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Korean government began to prepare the basic laws of logistics and nowadays it has tried to refine national logistics laws to reflect contemporary industry conditions and evolving ideological attitudes. The policy objectives governing logistics regulation have changed significantly since 2000. This article traces the current status of the Korean logistics laws which regulate one of the nation's most important industries and suggests certain amendment of current laws.

  • Most of logistics system has difficulties in transportation logistics tracking due to problems in real world such as discordance between logistics information and logistics flow. For the solution to these problems, through case study about corporation, suppliers that transport order items in shopping mall, we retain traceability of order items through accordance between logistics and information flow and derive transportation logistics tracking model. Through literature review, we selected permissioned public block chain model as reference model which is suitable for transportation logistics tracking model. We compared, analyzed and evaluated using centralized model and block chain as application model for transportation logistics tracking model. In this paper we proposed transportation logistics tracking model which integrated with logistics system in real world. It can be utilized for tracking and detection model and also as a tool for marketing.

  • Currently, despite having active movements related to port logistics security, there is lack of awareness, education, and security systems related to port technology. Before implementing port logistics security, a mutual authentication agreement should be reached through the establishment of an integrated network that can share port logistics security information in real time. In order to achieve port competitiveness and strengthen logistics service, establishment of national strategy for logistics security is necessary. However, there is an urgent need to raise the security consciousness among the port logistics organization members and enhance the information security ability which is a crucial feature of the port logistics organization. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze the factors affecting the information security capacity of port logistics organization members. Even though the analysis rejected the hypothesis that security regulations affect security awareness, the security activities and security awareness were significantly correlated. It also has a positive impact on the relationship between security norms and security abilities, and security awareness and security abilities.

  • Railroad logistics transporting freight by train takes charge of 10 or 20 percent of domestic cargos. Railroad logistics users such as transport companies including shippers or Inland Container Depot(ICD) use electronic document(EDI or XML) or input data through WEB to process railroad logistics business. However, as business environments evolving into e-business, it is required to upgrade the legacy railroad logistics process. As the increase of using ebXML-based schema format, it is also needed to improve the electronic documents based on DTD format into those of XML schema format. This study deals with information standard for railroad logistics to improve the railroad logistics business. To this purpose railroad business processes were re-defined through the standard business process modeling methodology. Information model was also derived by defining railroad logistics activities from business process model. And Business Information Entities(BIEs) were defined to design new electronic documents according to the extracted information model. An improved system architecture for railroad logistics was proposed as well. The results of this study will provide an effective and flexible business flow to railroad logistics business.

  • Sales of the Korean clothing industry grew to 16.9 percent on-year in 2010, but the growth rate dropped to 3 percent from 2011 to 2016 and the overall market began to slump to 1.1.6 percent in 2017. The competitiveness of clothing companies is also a major sector in logistics capability, and the average logistics cost of domestic clothing companies is 8.3 percent of sales in 2011, higher than the average 8 percent of domestic industries, and 36.4 percent of the total storage cost in 2011, higher than the 28.8 percent share of the total storage cost of domestic companies. As domestic production conditions such as wage hikes and labor disputes worsened in the 1990s, production facilities were rapidly moved overseas, which led many clothing companies to have no production facilities or a minimal production base in Korea and focus on marketing and design capabilities. The total storage capacity and storage efficiency of the logistics center became very important as the products were changed to the form of mass warehousing and small-volume forwarding. Research shows that building column spacing, a model of this research, can affect the amount of hanger rack storage empirically, so for sustainable growth of clothing companies, it is necessary to improve competitiveness in the logistics market by reducing costs and improving efficiency to overcome difficulties in corporate management. Because logistics costs are 8.3 percent and operating profit to sales ratio is 2 percent, it is expected that operating profit will increase by 41.5 percent if logistics costs are reduced by 10 percent. If 10% of storage cost is saved based on storage cost, operating profit is expected to increase by 15% To strengthen the competitiveness of the clothing industry, a reduction in logistics costs is essential. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide hints that logistics experts can have empirically small amounts in reducing storage costs through column spacing adjustment of logistics centers that have not been dealt with statistically until now, and to contribute to the continued growth of clothing companies and the development of the domestic logistics industry.

  • In a situation where there is excessive competition among logistics centers due to the low price of logistics centers for attracting freight volume, the conditions provided by the logistics centers are similar. Therefore, in order to determine the logistics center, we want to find out what kind of differentiated service the shippers desire, as well as what level of service they want in addition to al ow price. There are currently no studies about the service quality of logistics centers. The components of the service quality of the logistics center were extracted by applying them to the logistics center based on the existing service quality theory. Factor analysis revealed five dimensions of service quality: tangibility, reliability, empathy, assurance, and know-how. It was found that service quality had a statistically significant influence on customer satisfaction, from the investigation of the causal effect relationship. In addition, 'Know-How' among these factors has more influence on customer satisfaction, so it is important to accumulate differentiated 'Know-How' only in logistics centers.
