This study aims to examine and develop a Triple Helix model for social innovation to eradicate pervasive poverty in developing countries. To do this, this study explores and analyzes the Rural Saemaul Undong (RSU), a rural community development movement for eradicating poverty that was driven by the South Korean government during the 1970s. First of all, this study explores the characteristics of the RSU and explains why the RSU was a social innovation. To support and explain why the RSU was a successful social innovation, this study analyzes the roles and activities of three distinct actor groups: the chief policymaker and his aides who presented the vision and purpose, or the "why" of the Saemaul Undong; central and local government officials who were the planners and managers who showed "how" to plan and drive it; and village Saemaul leaders as the drivers and coaches showing rural villagers "what" to do. Based on this analysis, this study develops an actor-based Triple Helix model for social innovation to eradicate poverty.

This article examines the issue of utilization of research findings from public funded research institutions (PRIs) and universities in Malaysia from the perspective of knowledge flows. Such a perspective is adapted from the literature on innovation and knowledge systems. This representation of innovation in terms of knowledge flows helps us to focus on the managerial dimensions involved in the organization of activities such as research and development (R&D). The paper reveals that there is a dismal rate of adoption of research findings generated from PRIs and universities in Malaysia. It is argued that this poor performance is a consequence of weak research management practices. A framework on the key elements of sound research management is described. The article concludes with a discussion on managerial and policy issues arising from these deficiencies and some suggestions for addressing them.

Since 1980's, many enterprises have constructed Strategy Information System and tried BPR, ISP. Also, they implemented ERP and practiced the Process Innovation and Six Sigma for Management Innovation in todays, Although most companies had provious good plans, but those are not satisfied. Because of failed to change management and continued next activity. Many Project for Process innovation are ended as disposal project in many case, if they want next project, they need a new plan which needs additional fund and re source. This paper studied Process Innovation and Six Sigma in many things and proposed new model for continued project on the master plan. Also it proposed next study subject about ERP Optimization and Harmonization after implemented ERP which is considered as next step of PI.

The significance of intellectual property in the knowledge-based society has been increasing and as a result, the patent customer's demand for a top quality patent administration service has increased as well. Therefore, Korean Intellectual Property Office(KIPO) adopted 6 sigma as a tool for KIPO's innovation to improve the quality of patent administration and enhance customer satisfaction. KIPO's steadfast promotion of 6 sigma resulted in many successful outcomes such as improvement of policy and service process from customer's point view, streamlining the administrative procedures, increased work efficiency, capability enhancement of core personnel, and so on. Since 6 sigma has proved itself to be equipped with features suitable for innovation in public sector, it can be used as an extensible innovation tool to meet the challenges in rapidly changing administration environment and to achieve a competitive edge.

This study explores the effects of technology innovation activity on a profitability and the default risk of firms. Sample for this study consists of manufacturing firms listed on the Korea Stock Exchange from 1st January 2000 to 31st December 2007. We use of R&D ratio as a proxy of technology innovation activity. The default probability proxied for the default risk of firms is measured by the Merton's (1974) model where accounts for a market value of firms and a volatility of it. This study provides evidence that technology innovation activity has a positive effect on a profitability, but a negative effect on the default risk of firms. Our study also finds the significant mediation effect of profitability that the enhancement in profitability resulting from technology innovation activity lowers the default risk of firms.

The transformation of sector system in Information and Communications Technology (ICT), a prominent character in sector system, has been paid much attention in innovation theory with rapid change in information technologies and technological environment. In this context, we explore how Sectoral Innovation System (SIS) in ICT has been transformed since 1970 by employing US patent data and Proxy variables which measures the basic elements for SIS and its technological characteristics. By utilizing patent data, it is demonstrated that technological regimes, key links and Schumpeterian patterns of innovation in overall ICT sector have drastically transformed over the last three decades. We also reviewed how changes of knowledge bases and technological characteristics driving forces of dynamics in ICT help heterogeneous agents interact with environmental factors (Industrial structure and institutions), leading to industrial or economic growth and its dynamics in the historical perspective over ICT sector (Telecommunication, Computer and Semiconductor). Consequently, our research shows clearly that Schumpeterian patterns of innovation have shifted from Mark I to Mark II in ICT. Our study also provides a glimpse picture of dynamics patent data.

This study investigated what factors affect consumers' decision making concerning the adoption of smart TVs. For this purpose, the integrated adoption model that consists of six major constructs from the diffusion of innovation theory (DIT), the technology acceptance model (TAM), and the model of innovation resistance(MIR) was employed. To collect data, an online survey was used. Data collected were analyzed with the structural equation model (SEM). Findings showed that the innovativeness has a positive influence on the both of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. It was also shown that both of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use affect the intention to use smart TVs in a positive way. The innovation resistance has a negative influence on the intention to use. The mediating role of the innovation resistance was also found. The implications of these results are discussed.

Lately, knowledge-based society comes, it is important for enterprises to creatively utilize knowledge of technology for technological innovation. So, Technological innovation capacity of enterprises is important factor of business success. To improve technological innovation capacity, enterprises should well utilize their internal knowledges and external knowledges which come from technological diffusion. To well utilize external knowledges of enterprises they should well understand external knowledge flow. Especially knowledge flow also occurs frequently between nations, understanding of knowledge flow which occurs between nations is important to improve nation`s technological innovation capacity. So this paper presents comparison of technological innovation capacity and knowledge diffusion flow between nations.

While technological development being rapid, competition among companies have been very intensive over the world. To hold their competitive power or make sustainable development, it is very imperative for them to attempt innovation. But almost of all innovations were followed by people's resistance to change, and many innovation appeared to be not successful. The objective of this paper is to review the topic of resistance to change in the related literature, and look at the relationship between innovation resistance and many variables like CEO's personality, employee's personality, organizational culture, and defensive behavior.
