  • The aim of this study is to analyze informatization competencies of the international ship supply companies at Busan port. This study comprehensively suggests certain issues attributed to the successful implementation of total information management system for ship supply. To achieve this objective, evaluation was undertaken based on the model of the National Competency Standards (NCS). This model consisted of three evaluation areas, including 20 items. Analysis of information competencies of ship supply companies was undertaken using the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) method. Survey data was collected from ship supply companies located in the ship supply center at Busan port. Results found that there were significant differences between importance and performance. In addition, overall informatization competency was very low. Thus, in order to ensure successful implementation of total information management system, re-education programs for ICT usage and dedicated support organization are necessary.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine parents' perceptions towards, and the importance and performance levels of, foodservices in child-care centers and to suggest ways to increase foodservice quality and promote efficient operations in the future. A questionnaire survey was provided to 540 parents and the return rates 82%. The survey period was from June 20 to July 27,2007. The collected data were statistically analyzed with the SAS package program using descriptive statistical analysis, t-tests, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple comparisons, factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: The parents perceived that foodservice operations promoted their children's health and helped them form desirable dietary habits. The parents also had a high level of perception toward the need for foodservice, earning greater than 4.5 points out of 5 points. Their perceptions of foodservice quality were examined by four dimensions of importance and performance levels. While the parents gave 4 points or greater of 5 points to most quality attributes of importance level, they gave 4 points of less out of 5 points to most quality attributes of performance level. As for the importance and performance levels of the quality dimensions of meal service, the parents regarded sanitation as the most important dimension. IPA showed that 'organic food materials' was included as a 'focus here' area. The overall satisfaction level for foodservice was 3.59 out of 5 points. A higher level of satisfaction was shown when a dietitian was present as well as in public childcare centers. According to multiple regression analysis, 53.51% of the variance in the respondents' overall satisfaction scores was explained by factors such as food, sanitation, environment, and foodservice effects.

  • Purpose: This study was performed to evaluate the importance and satisfaction of the selective attributes of delivery food and to analyze the factors affecting customer satisfaction. Methods: A total of 574 responses were collected from customers who had ordered delivery food for data analysis. Statistical analyses were conducted using the SPSS program (ver. 25.0) for frequency analysis, χ2 tests, t-test, factor analysis, Pearson correlation, multiple regression analysis, and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). Results: The importance of delivery food selection attributes was higher in the order of 'hygiene control level (4.72)', 'taste of food (4.64)', and 'delivery accuracy (4.40)'. Satisfaction assessment was higher in the order of 'taste of food (4.32)', 'delivery accuracy (4.26)', and 'convenience of using the delivery app (4.21)'. According to the results of IPA, items that were priorities for improvement were charges for delivery, discount offers, sufficient description of the menu, and rapid handling of customer complaints. On an average, overall customer satisfaction score of delivery food was 4.01 out of 5 points. Additionally, five satisfaction factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis. According to the results of multiple regression analysis, quality of delivery platform (p < 0.001), quality of delivery service (p < 0.001), convenience and diversity (p < 0.001), quality of delivery food (p < 0.001), and health and safety (p < 0.001) had significant positive effects on overall customer satisfaction. Conclusion: To increase customer satisfaction among delivery food customers, restaurant or delivery platform managers should consistently improve not only the quality of the delivery platform but also the quality of the delivery food and service.

The survey involved 248 people who participated in the food hygiene and safety education for childcare center managers in Gyeongbuk province from June to July 2010. A total of 236 survey papers were analyzed statistically by SPSS program. By the method, t-test and importance-performance analysis (IPA) was performed. Among the respondents, facility managers are 40s (41.9%) which accounted the most percentage, and for the type of facility, the largest amount was home (39.9%). The number of preschool children who are under 20 people accounted for 45.3% and food service staffs were accounted for 36.7%. No significant differences were observed for the four items on the IPA, except for the topics "the immediate deal with trash and leftover food" and "minimizing time (within 2 hours) for distribution after cooking" (p<0.001). The average score on the IPA was 4.14 points, and the average score for the importance of the evaluation was 4.49 points out of 5. Finally, childcare facility managers are aware of the importance that is lower than can be done. • The purpose of this study is to explore ways to promote the stay type tourism in Ulsan. To achieve this, IPA analysis techniques were applied to survey the importance and performance of experts, tourists, and hotel users, and measures were developed for activation of common points among the groups. Most studies analyze the survey results of a group, but this study compared and analyzed the results among three groups of experts, tourists, and hotel users, resulting in areas requiring activation. According to the results of each group, 'cultural facilities' were selected as the attraction factor, and 'night tours' were chosen as the basic factor to improve. On the other hand, tourist attractions, clean environment and urban parks have been selected as implementation factors, which correspond to the "ecological tourism," one of Ulsan's five-color themes. According to the ranking, the three groups of experts, tourists, and hotel users were able to look at the results of priority items that were selected up to the third place, although there were no exact matching factors. The items selected by both groups were diversification of night viewing, traffic accessibility in tourist sites, and improvement of night scenery, operation of night experience programs, extension of night opening hours, and revitalization of night markets respectively.
