  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of 'individual' found in architecture of British Archigram Group. Although many critics and historians have judged Archigram as a simple technocrat, the concept of individual employed by Archigram since their Living City Exhibition undermine their representational works. Archigram's concept of individual was basically influenced by the European historical context since the Renaissance and at the same time by the philosophy of existentialism. Since Archigram proposed their individualistic trend In the Living City Exhibition, they have created many individualistic architecture such as Living Pod, Cushicle, Suitaloon, etc. Through these experimental projects, Archlgram's concept of individual did not intend to get rid of the society itself, but to form a society based on the individual autonomy and on the interaction between individuals. In the city of Archigram, there was ultimately the new symbiosis between individual units and this symbiosis completed new world.

  • From the philosophy of Laozi, we can infer the two types of the individuals, such as Youwei individual and Wuwei individual. The Youwei individual characterizes its expandibility, which appears as an aggressive character, and the society where this has set in is a false society. The Wuwei individual discards a false power and authority, concentrates on its realities and life, and further restricts its rights in a voluntary way. Their behavioral pattern like this allows the other party to secure an autonomous space and ensures that he or she can live a full life in person. The society these Wuwei individuals have formed through their own relationships is Xuantong Society. The Xuantong Society proposed by Laozi restricts individual rights, but it rather guarantees individual's autonomy, life and happiness, and suggests an individual-community model in which common good is created endlessly even though it does not establish the common good. This is very different from the points of view which guarantees individual rights and at the same time attempt to realize the common good together.

  • Objectives : For the excellent differentiation of syndromes, we study on the individual characteristic factor by the interrogation of history taking and palpation. Methods : To the subject of diagnosis special books and diagnostics textbook of korean medicine, we arrange the individual characteristic factor by the interrogation of history taking and palpation. Results : The interrogation of history taking on the individual characteristic factor was arranged dispositional symptoms and individual characteristic of syndromes. And the pulse taking and palpation on the individual characteristic factor was arranged the moderate person's pulse condition ; floating pulse, deep and sinking pulse, replete and forceful pulse, intermittent pulse, long pulse, slippery or smooth pulse, relaxed or loose pulse (浮沈實大長滑緩脈), six Yin and six Yang pulse (六陽脈, 六陰脈). Conclusions : As the results, the individual characteristic factor is very important item of the four methods of diagnosis and the differentiation of syndromes. And therefore, we have to divide the signs of individual characteristic factor and the signs of disease in the process on four methods of diagnosis and differentiation of syndromes.

  • As the domestic aviation industry grows, the aviation maintenance field is also growing rapidly. This change calls for more aircraft maintenance technicians, and interest in safety accidents is also increasing. Individual safety climate indicates the importance of safety in the organization. We expect that three individual factors (training effectiveness, procedure effectiveness, and work pressure) relate to safety behavior in the workplace via individual safety climate. The purpose of this research is investigating the relationship between individual factors and aircraft maintenance technician's safety behavior. Previous studies related to individual factors were examined for literature review. Based on the previous studies, research model was constructed. Hypothesis was verified by effected data from 305 samples were employed for final survey. The results show that individual factors were meaningful factors to effect perceived safety behavior, and safety knowledge & safety motivation were related to safety compliance & safety participation.

  • The aim of this paper was to analyze the determinants of the extent of individual credit rationing at Can Tho Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB). The data was collected from 150 customers according to the systematic random sampling method listed in the bank. This study employed quantitative analysis methods, and Tobit regression model, to test the proposed hypotheses. The results showed that the average loan amount of an individual customer was 1,181.3 million VND, the average credit limit was 48.6%, and the average interest rate was 10.9% per year. Most of the individual customers borrowed money to buy properties. In addition, the analysis results also indicated that individual borrowers still faced some difficulties in accessing bank credit, such as cumbersome procedures, long waiting times, insufficient collateral assets, and loan documents. The results of the Tobit model pointed out that there were five factors affecting the degree of credit rationing to individual customers at the bank, including (1) Collateral, (2) Income, (3) Credit history, (4) Loan purpose, (5) Relationship between borrower and bank. Based on the empirical findings, the possible solutions for the bank and individual borrowers to improve credit efficiency for individual customers at commercial banks are obtained.

The SPSS/WIN 25.0 program was used for data analysis which included descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: Individual innovative behavior had significant positive correlations with all of individual, job, and organizational factors. The results of hierarchical regression analysis showed that knowledge and skills for evidence-based practice (β=.28, p<.001), self efficacy (β=.25, p=.002), gender (female, β=.23, p<.001), and beliefs for evidence-based practice (β=.17, p=.016) were significant factors influencing on individual innovative behavior. Conclusion: These findings suggest that knowledge, skills and beliefs for evidence-based practice, and self efficacy were linked to individual innovative behaviors. Therefore, education and human resource management improving self efficacy, knowledge, skills and beliefs for evidence-based practice are needed to increase nurses' individual innovative behaviors in tertiary care hospitals.

Methods: Approval of materials for individual-authorized functional food in Korea was analyzed from 2004 to August 2015 using database from Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), regarding the kinds of function, materials and their functional level by year. Results: Korean functional food market has rapidly grown to 1.56 trillion Won in 2014, with about 10% of annual growth rate. In particular, the increase of individual-authorized functional food is worth of notices, in detail 313 kinds of functional materials covering 31 body functions have been approved by August 2015. 15.7% of individual-authorized functional foods have used the herbal materials. This quantitative and qualitative expansion of functional foods, especially of individual-authorized functional foods, will affect the herbal drug industry negatively. Conclusion: This study figured out the current pattern of material approval for individual-authorized functional food in Korea, which would be essential in development of strategies by Korean medicine community in order to overcome such conditions.

  • In this study, the various financial management systems practiced by modem dual-income families were assessed by in-depth interviews with 6 people, 3 practicing integrated financial management and 3 practicing individual financial management. The results indicated significant differences between the two financial management methods regarding family structure, individual values, and family finances. Families that practiced individual financial management consisted of weekend couples without children who showed an individual-centered value tendency and seemed to take a positive attitude towards their future economic situation due to possession of their on stabilized financial assets. Based on these results, we can expect more families to adopt methods of individual financial management and show a wider variety in their financial planning tools which will require adequate and efficient countermeasures and strategies suitable for each financial management practice.

  • In general, it is assumed that a pronoun refers to the same individual as the referent of its antecedent. However, when a pronoun and its antecedent are in different information or belief states, the two may not refer to the same individual. Then a question arises what a pronoun refers to. In this paper, two cases are considered. When a pronoun occurs in an attitude context, one case is where its antecedent occurs in a belief context, and the other is where the antecedent occurs in the main context. I propose that a pronoun refers to an individual concept which links two different subjects in two different contexts, and that the selection of a proper individual concept is restricted by the discourse. So a pronoun can be used felicitously only when there is a unique individual concept supported by the individual concept introduced by the discourse and which can link two subjects in two different contexts.
