Analysis of ICT skills for problem solving : learning functional & logical abilities in context for pre-service students (문제해결을 위한 ICT 활용 능력 분석 : 문맥 속에서 대학생의 기능 및 논리 능력 학습하기)

  • This study analyzes a phenomenon observed in the problem-solving process using ICT that field learners prioritize functional and logical fields. The purpose of this study is to anticipate the future direction of education utilizing ICT and to explore what effort is needed to increase balanced ability of utilizing ICT in the area of education. To analyze the patterns of ICT usage in education, students were asked to solve the problems including functional and logical requests by using the program of framing document. That results were marked in accordance with standards framed in both functional and logical fields. As a result, students utilized the ICT functional field more than logical one. Therefore, we confirm learning through ICT is more effective on functional sides than on logical sides. We also confirm the excellency of ICT's functional sides in such variables as major, grade, computer capability and qualification, etc.

  • This study designed and implemented differentiated web courseware for ICT education based on the analysis of the contents of the guidelines for information and communications technology education in elementary schools. The web courseware was designed to provide students with self-directed, differentiated learning in ICT education. The contents of the courseware consist of 'understanding of the computer,' 'mouse and keyboard,' and 'surfing on the Internet.' Each of the contents includes diagnostic and formative evaluations so that students can select their own learning activities of the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. The web courseware is expected to be used as self-directed learning materials for ICT education through learner-centered differentiated learning activities.

  • 제7차 교육과정의 시행과 더불어 정부와 민간에서 모든 교과의 교수 학습에서 ICT를 활용할 수 있는 디지털 컨텐트를 다양하게 만들어 서비스하고 있으나 일관된 계획이나 표준안이 없이 필요에 따라 자료를 분류하여 만들어지다 보니 단위 수업 시간에 직접 투입하기에는 알맞은 자료를 검색하여 재가공을 하여 활용하거나 여과 없이 사용하게 되는 문제점이 제기되고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 단위 수업 중 자료투입시기를 분석하여 초등학교 교육환경에 필요한 메타데이터 요소를 탐색하고 메타데이터 요소를 추출하여 국제적인 메타데이터 표준인 DC Core Education 의 메타데이터 표준안을 기반으로 하는 멀티미디어 교육자료 검색 및 활용을 위한 베타데이터 요소를 추가 하였다. 초등교육 현장에서 생성되는 다양한 멀티미디어 교육 자료와 원상에 존재한 양질의 교육 정보 자원들을 일반적인 수업 흐름인 도입, 전개, 정리의 메타데이터 요소를 추가하여 통합검색과 체계적인 인터페이스를 제할 수 있는 기반을 마련함으로써 초등학교 교사가 쉽고 편리하게 단위 수업에 유용한 것을 찾아내고 수업에 투입할 수 있을 것이며 향후 교수학습 자료를 수업에 직접 필요한 형태로 분류하여 제공하여 효율적인 교수 학습 자료를 공유하게 함으로써 ICT활용 수업에 실제적인 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

An Improvement of Mathematics Course Using MathML in ICT Environment (MathML을 이용한 수학교과 ICT활용 교육 개선방안)

  • Although many mathematical teaching/learning materials are already developed in the web, diverse utilization of this materials such as calculation, searching, or reusing of expressions are limited since the expression is actually a figure. To cope with this, MathML which describing mathematical notation was developed. In the paper, we proposed the methods of developing teaching materials using MathML, making learning assistance tools which utilize MathML, and applying MathML to information exchange community for Mathematics courses in ICT environment. Using MathML to develop a teaching material makes easy to correct and reuse the mathematical notations conveniently. Furthermore, learning assistance tools made by placing MathML help teachers reorganize and utilize these materials in the classroom as well as enhancing the connection between mathematical notations and concepts. The web-board that can make a use the mathematical notations using MathML enables the teachers and students to exchange information actively. It also helps to fulfill different types of teaching using ICT such as "discussion on the web".

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the age of artificial intelligence, the development of ICT technology is having various effects on the online and offline educational environment. The universal access of online education changes the educational paradigm and converts it to a learner-centered service. At the time when a new educational environment is required to change, interest in flip learning is increasing. Even adult learner's online learning needs is also shown very high. The purpose of this study was to investigate how repetitive learning activities through flip learning for middle-aged online learners of K-Cyber University has a relationship and structural relationship between the effects of learning immersion and learning interest on learning satisfaction. Through this study, there is significance in research to suggest direction for learning satisfaction based on flip learning. For further studies, if a model of analysis of various factors that can be measured is specified and applied, it can be used as a research background that can maximize learning satisfaction based on flip learning.

  • After government released the measures to reduce private tutoring and to advance math education, the Education Ministry carrying out projects to narrow the gap of education using ICT of the agricultural, mountain and fishing villages with 'ICT Supporting Business for the rural communities'. EBS(Educational Broadcasting System) also has established a website for self-directed math learning called EBSmath and offers various and customized services. This study has been conducted on how smartifact-assisted learning on EBSmath provided by 'ICT Supporting Business for the rural communities' will affect self-directed math learning of students. In other words, the purpose of this study is to see if students of the farming villages with poor surroundings of education using ICT can acquire knowledge for themselves and organize it systematically, and then they can finally produce new knowledge while they learn through EBSmath.

  • The 7th National Curriculum Guidelines strongly suggest the use of ICT for schools, and one of the best way to integrate ICT could be the implementation of Integrated Learning Systems (ILS). ILS is known to be a comprehensive system for learning that offer variety of multimedia contents and activities, textbooks, and networked systems. It is a comprehensive package for instruction and loaming tailored to fit specific curriculum. Thus, ILS is well-integrated and well-suited to individual learners' interest or capabilities. The school teachers who would have to use ICT in their courses required by the 7th National Curriculum Guidelines, ILS could be an innovative tool to be effective not only in teaching but also in using ICT. However, effective use and development of ILS, in Korea, should be supported by the educational decision makers and policies to fit Korean school curriculum. Thus, in this paper, we have studies to look at examplary ILS and a couple of cases to consider ILS for possible adoption in Korea.

  • 2000년 8월1일 교육 인적 자원부는 7차 교육과정 컴퓨터 교육에 대한 보완으로 「초 ·중등 학교 정보 통신 기술 교육운영 지침」을 발표하여 ICT 교육을 의무화하도록 했다. ICT 교육은 학습자로 하여금 단순히 컴퓨터를 사용하는 방법을 가르치는 것을 넘어 정보 통신 기술을 교과 수업에 활용하는 능력을 길러주는 방향으로 나아가고 있다. 따라서 효율적인 ICT교육이 이루어지기 위해서는 각 학년 단계에 알맞은 컴퓨터 교육과정이 편성되고, 그것이 교수-학습과정에서 적절히 활용되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 초등학교의 효율적인 ICT교육 방안을 모색하기 위하여 현재 부산광역시의 인정 보급 도서인 '즐거운 컴퓨터'의 활용에서 나타나는 컴퓨터 교육의 제반 문제점을 분석하고, 초등학교의 컴퓨터 교육필요성과 그 편성 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

Development of web-based and problem-based learning program(PBL) and its effect on studies achievement (웹 기반 문제중심학습 프로그램 개발과 학업성취에 미치는 효과 분석)

  • Establishing problem-based leaning(PBL) that is one type of constitutional learning models is meaningful not only for finding the diversity of WBI types but also for being the specific example of constitutional usage of WBI. This paper shows the development of web-based and problem-based learning program for 6th grade students of elementary school and finds its effect on their studies achievement. There were two classes of traditional lessons and one class of web-based and problem-based lessons. It performed a test with the classes for science lesson. It was found that web-based and problem-based learning is more effective on the improvement of studies achievement. There was meaningful difference in studies achievement according to ICT utilization ability. Web-based and problem-based learning statistically had a meaningful effect on the improvement of ICT utilization ability.
