Remote Acoustic Sensing Methods for Studies in Oceanology

  • In this paper, the lines of investigation on a problem of the development of remote acoustic sensing methods in oceanology are formulated. This paper summarizes the results of investigations into the possibilities for monitoring temperature and flow fields in shallow seas. In the discussed experiments, the instrumentation being constituents of the complex for long-duration remote monitoring of marine medium climatic variability and that of the acoustic tomography of shallow sea dynamic processes is used. The acoustic instruments were located on the POI FEB RAS acousto-hydrophysical polygon (Pacific Oceanological Institute, Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences) near the Gamov Peninsula. Acoustic receiving and transmitting systems operating with multiplex phase-manipulated signals (of M-codes) at frequency range 250-2500 Hz form the basis for this complex.

Control charts for monitoring correlation coefficients in variance-covariance matrix

  • Properties of multivariate Shewhart and CUSUM charts for monitoring variance-covariance matrix, specially focused on correlation coefficient components, are investigated. The performances of the proposed charts based on control statistic Lawley-Hotelling $V_i$ and likelihood ratio test (LRT) statistic $TV_i$ are evaluated in terms of average run length (ARL). For monitoring correlation coe cient components of dispersion matrix, we found that CUSUM chart based on $TV_i$ gives relatively better performances and is more preferable, and the charts based on $V_i$ perform badly and are not recommended.

The intelligent substation is build in Gochang 765kV testing facility and consists of electronic instruments, digital control panel, remote monitoring and diagnosis system and digital relay system. Rogowski coil type CT(RCT) and capacitive voltage divider(CVD) are applicable for instrument transformer of conventional type. Digital control panel(DCP) replaces local panel which is drived by mechanical operation. For monitoring condition of GIS and TR, various sensors are used. In this paper, we report the synopsis and the progress state of project.

  • 자율주행차는 GPS 및 레이더, 라이다, 카메라, IMU 등 다수의 센서가 장착되어 도심 교차로 주행 환경에서 다양한 교통체계를 인지하고 판단하여 주행하지만 장착된 센서의 감지 거리를 벗어나는 영역에 대한 예측 및 판단의 한계 등으로 자율주행차의 교차로 사고 비율은 전체 사고의 88%로 사고 비율이 높다. 따라서 ITS 도입으로 V2V, V2I를 통한 비신호 교차로 사고 회피 전략 연구가 진행되고 있을 뿐만 아니라 고장 상황에서 안전한 교차로 주행에 대한 연구도 진행되고 있지만 단순한 교차로 시나리오를 통한 검증과 단편적인 V2V 고장만을 제시하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 V2V 모듈의 아키텍쳐를 분석하여 V2V 모듈별 위험 요인을 분석하여 고장모드를 정의하였다. 또한 다양한 도로 조건 및 교통량에 따라 교차로 시나리오를 제시하여 ISO-26262 Part3 프로세스를 활용하여 HARA를 수행하여 자율주행차의 오작동에 대해 시뮬레이션 기반 위험성을 분석하여 ASIL을 제시하였다. V2V 모듈의 각 컴포넌트별 모니터링 컨셉을 제안하였고 시뮬레이션을 통해 모니터링 커버리지를 제시하였다.

EGS4 simulation을 이용한 2차원 방사선준위 분포측정 시스템의 Response Matrix 계산 (The Calculation of Response Matrix of 2-Dimensional Radiation Monitoring System Using EGS4 Simulation)

  • 2차원 방사선 측정시스템에서 측정된 감마선의 에너지 스펙트럼으로부터 실제 에너지 스펙트럼을 얻기 위하여 CsI(T1) 섬광계수기에 대한 EGS4 모의실험을 실시하였다. $0.1{\sim}2$ MeV의 감마선에 대하여 50 keV 간격으로 모의실험을 실시하여 $39{\times}39$ response matrix를 계산하였고 이에 대한 역행렬을 구하였다. 이를 이용하여 실제 측정된 Co-60 에너지 스펙트럼에 대하여 unfolding을 실시하였다. 그 결과 계산된 response matrix가 실제 스펙트럼 분석에 유용한 것으로 판단되었다.

Airborne HPGe spectrometer for monitoring of air dose rates and surface activities

  • This contribution describes the application of HPGe detector for the airborne quantitative analysis. The hardware of the airborne HPGe system was designed from the commercial components with only exception of the newly designed AirHPGeSpec special software to control, measure and process the data. The system was calibrated for the local air kerma rates measured on helicopter board and its conversion to the air kerma rates at 1 m above the ground was proposed. Two examples of the air kerma rates measured over the former uranium mining areas are presented and compared with the results of other airborne system on the board. This airborne HPGe system could be also used for measuring the surface activities in a radiation event. The nuclides of 131I, 132Te - 132I, 133I, 134I, 135I, 137Cs, 134Cs, 88Rb and 103Ru were selected from possible nuclear power plant emergency scenarios. The Monte Carlo simulation was used to calculate HPGe detector efficiencies for the flight altitudes from 25 to 300 m for the energies from 300 keV to 3 MeV of the nuclides in question. Also, the detection limits according to the Currie method as well as ISO 11929-2010 for selected nuclides are presented.
