  • The objective of this study was to analyze the two contrary effects of usage habits on the acceptance of a new IT. The one is a positive one which may be caused by expertise from the repetitive usages of a current system while the other is a negative one which would be due to lock-in. For this purpose, this study suggested three hypotheses which account for not only the negative effect of the habit in current system on the intention of using a new system but also the positive moderation effects on both relationships of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use with the intention of a new system. For the empirical tests of the hypotheses, this study surveyed acceptance of Google Docs for the users who have a habitual used word processor. The analysis by partial least square approach showed that the hypotheses were statistically supported.

  • This study aims to examine the relationship between job attitude and leadership style perceived by employees in hospital organization. This study have the two purposes; 1) to investigate the relationship between leadership styles and job attitudes(Organizational Commitment and Turnover Intention), 2) to verify the moderate effect of organizational support on the relationship between leadership style and job attitude. We examined the effect of critical leadership styles on the job attitude of employees in hospital organization. Hypotheses on four factors were tested for 7 hospital organizations. In order to test these hypotheses, survey questionnaires were sent to employees of hospital organization in Gyungbuk. As a result, the 185 available data were collected from hospital organization. Correlation analysis and regression had been performed and the results supported hypotheses. The results indicated that it is significant difference between each leadership style and job attitude. Also, organizational support was found to be positively moderated on job attitude.

  • Atherosclerosis, which is a degenerate disease, is believed to occur in the vascular system due to deposition of cholesterol and low density lipoprotein(LDL) or thrombosis on the blood vessel. Atherosclerosis narrows arterial lumen, which is known as stenosis phenomenon of blood vessel. Pathogenesis of atherosclerosis is thought to occur mainly by aging. Restenosis phenomenon is observed in the same site of insertion of a stent and balloon angioplasty after treatment of interventional theraphy. Several hypothetical theories related to the generation of atherosclerosis have been reported: high shear stress theory, low shear stress theory, high shear stress gradient theory, flow separation and turbulence theory and high pressure theory. However, no one theory clearly explains the causes of atherosclerosis. In the present study the generation of atherosclerosis in the left coronary artery is investigated. The hypotheses are verified by using the computer simulation.

  • The purpose of this article is to examine the relationship between unsafe behavior, human factor and human error. For the object, several correlation analyses for those three elements were implemented. Several hypotheses for the relationship between them was suggested. The suggested hypotheses were verified by a comprehensive survey received from 132 safety manager of manufacturing industry. The conclusions were proven from the hypotheses verificaiton as belows; 1) The dependent relation items between unsafe behavior and human factor are dress protection tool, machine(equipment) and working rule have a dependent relation. 2) The dependent relation items between human factor and human error are uncommunication, control, slaps, fatigue, education, system, unmonitoring, failure. 3) The dependent relation items between human error and unsfafe behavior are decline and product/working method, failure and uncommunication have a dependent relation.

  • This paper describes what causes the breakage of the toughened glass stem insulators. Several plausible hypotheses were proposed by surveying the field, hearing evidence, analyzing the broken specimens, etc. The hypotheses were classified into a couple of patterns and the hypotheses were selected and listed in order of the possibility. As a result, the most convincing cause of the breakage was the resonance of the vibrations incoming from the H-frame side and the feeder side. In addition, the collision of ballasts and the impurities in the toughened glass could be also the causes.

  • In this paper, a two-stage recognition approach based on error pattern hypotheses is proposed to reduce errors of a connected digit recognizer. In the approach, a conventional recognizer is first used to produce N-best candidate strings, and then error patterns are hypothesized by examining the candidate strings. For substitution error pattern hypotheses, error-pattern-dependent classifiers having more discriminative power than the first-stage classifier are used ; and for insertion and deletion errors, word duration and energy contour information are exploited are exploited to discriminated confusing pairs. Simulation results showed that the proposed approach achieves 15% decrease in word error rate for speaker-independent Korean connected digit recognition when a hidden Markov model-based recognizer is used for the first-stage classifier.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the success factors of the R&D performed by the Defense Specialized University Research Center(DSRC). The factors expected to affect the research performance of the DSRC were selected by means of investigation of the previous study on the success factor analysis in University-Industry Collaboration Research. Based on the success factors, hypotheses were set. After that, questionnaires were statistically analysed to verify the hypotheses.

  • The purpose of this research is to develop a webcasting site evaluation model, to estimate the relative importance of factors affecting the performance of webcasting sites, and to derive the CSFs of the sites. Evaluation model consists of 6 first-level evaluation factors and 23 second-level evaluation factors. This study compares the evaluation scores of website with those of the customer satisfaction. We inspect seven hypotheses. Hypothesis)(H1) tests correlation of the evaluation scores of website and those of the customer satisfaction. Hypothesis2(H2)$\sim$Hypothesis7(H7) tests if 6 first-level factors(planning, program & form, design, technology, interface, content) have an impact on customer satisfaction. In order to test the hypotheses, correlation analysis and regression analysis are performed. As a result of empirical tests, all Hypotheses$(H1){\sim}H7)$ are accepted and its implications are discussed.

  • This study aims to examine the relationships between job attitude and leadership styles perceived by employees in venture firms. This study have the two purposes, 1) to investigate the relationship between leadership styles and job attitudes(Organizational Commitment and Turnover Intention), 2) to verify the effective leadership style in venture companies. We examined the impact of critical leadership styles on the job attitude of employees in venture firms. Hypotheses on four factors were tested for 26 organizations. In order to test these hypotheses, survey questionnaires were sent to employees of venture firms in Gumi. As a result, the 184 available data were collected from venture companies. Correlation analysis, ANOVA, and regression gad been performed and the results supported first, second, and third hypotheses. However, fourth hypothesis was not supported.

  • In the more than one decade, studies of organizational citizenship behavior(OCB) have increased continuously, research on the role of job satisfaction and organizational commitment upon the relationships between OCB and Job characteristics, however, is very scarce. This study analyzed comprehensively existing studies of OCB, designed a model of mediating role of behavioral performance(job satisfaction, organizational commitment), and generated three hypotheses inherent in the model. To design the model and generate the hypotheses, this study conducted a comprehensive literature survey on OCB. To test the hypotheses, this study collected data from 847 employees at 12 large general hospitals in Pusan area through a questionnaire survey and conducted the three step mediated regression analysis using the SAS-PC Package. Conclusively, job characteristics tend to be the most influential antecedents affecting not only through mediating factors but also directing to OCB. These and other major findings from this study imply that existing American studies may be applicable the Korean organizations and that this study may complement the deficiencies of the existing studies.
