  • Populating information-rich online environments through crowdsourcing is increasingly becoming popular. One approach to motivate participation is via games. That is, a crowdsourcing game offers entertainment while generating useful outputs as byproducts of gameplay. A gap in current research is that actual usage patterns of crowdsourcing games have not been investigated thoroughly. We thus compare content creation patterns in a game for crowdsourcing mobile content against a non-game version. Our analysis of 3,323 contributions in both apps reveal 10 categories including those that conform to the traditional notion of mobile content created to describe locations of interest, and those that are social in nature. We contend that both types of content are potentially useful as they meet different needs. Further, the distribution of categories varied across the apps suggests that games shape behavior differently from non-game-based approaches to crowdsourcing.

  • The objective of this study is to introduce the urban utility concept that combines urban growth and urban disasters in the aspect of a conceptual theory. While many studies focused on the dollar amount damaged from a disaster, it requires adding not just building damages or human body losses but also the quality of life satisfaction. An issue in measuring the quality of life satisfaction needs to introduce a proper mode quantifying it. This study introduces the urban utility change in measuring the negative impacts of a disaster on urban life, which has been rarely investigated. To identify urban utility, urban flooding that is a cross-sectoral agenda and important to both developed and developing countries was adopted to respond to its increased frequency and damages, encouraging governments to focus on flood control policies. By combining a literature review on urban utility and urban growth, this study defined the urban utility concept as a net benefit of a resident with earnings subtracting housing and commuting costs. The theoretical study also explained that urban utility and its components dynamically change as per urban growth and disasters that even reversely affect urban growth. Because the urban utility can be one of the useful indices to appreciate the relationship between a disaster and urban growth, it is highly expected to apply for similar disaster impacts on urban areas, including COVID-19 and various global warming issues.

  • The term "social marketing" was first introduced in 1971 to describe the use of marketing principles and techniques to advance a social cause, idea, or behavior. Social Marketing is a strategy for changing behavior. It utilizes concepts of market segmentation, consumer research, product concept development and testing, directed communication, facilitation, incentives, and exchange theory to maximize the target adopters' response. Social marketing requires knowledge of each target-adopter group, including its 1. social demographic characteristics, 2. psychological profile and 3. behavioral characteristics. To know the target adopters in these three related ways enables social marketer to make more accurate predictions. In addition to differentiating among and selecting target adopter groups, the social marketer will identify influence-holding groups, or influentials, who can affect a program's success. Great changes and opportunities exist to produce changes in the ways that individuals and groups think and behave and in meeting human needs. The balance of the scales of social change, we hope, will shift away from the use of force and violence to the use of persuasion and voluntary action. I trust that this dissertation will be useful highlighting the strategies and means of peaceful, planned social change designed to elevate the quality of life.

  • Job crafting refers to changes that individuals make in their work to achieve their preferences and needs. Contingent on the social exchange theory, the aim of this study is to explore the relationship between job crafting and job performance. In addition, the study examines the mediating effect of social capital in the relationship between job crafting and job performance. The data was collected from 387 employees in Vietnamese industrial enterprises through a questionnaire survey using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The information was then analyzed by explanatory factor analysis (EFA) confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) as well as structural equation modeling (SEM). The results show that all three dimensions of job crating positively affect job performance and that social capital plays a mediating role in that relationship. This study contributes to the field of human resources management, particularly job crafting, by examining different dimensions of job crafting that impacts job performance. Moreover, this is the first study to test the mediating role of social capital on the relationship between job crafting and job performance. These insights may help the organizational managers to encourage beneficial job crafting.

  • Social and cultural impact of postmodernism in the seek for diversity and to respect the individual's personality and character was the center of human-centered thinking. This also affects the design area, as well as architecture, interior design. It is because of interactive interior design that reflects the lives and relationships with people. Thus, in modern society, people to meet the diverse needs have created a third space. Today's commercial space in the flow to a variety of users and is trying to provide comfort. To go to stores often offer lifestyle and proceeding to the next stage of life. Space for the creative force is trying to become getting better space. Collaboration is refer to phenomenon that two or more objects meet to collaborate. Collaboration is can be classified of space, art, low/high, high concept and star collaboration. And this study has been studied mainly collaboration. Space collaboration is can be classified of experiential, the third space, brand passes and landmark. Space collaboration elements rearranged to the standards of interior design theory, analysis, and marketing of space, commercial space, with previous studies of the spatial elements were extracted. The purpose of this study in the field of interior design space analysis method for the verification of collaboration theory is that to develop. Thus, the space collaboration has been developed to fit the field of interior design, and commercial interior spaces will be helpful for applying.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the objectivity of scientific knowledge, focusing on Michael Polanyi's epistemology. The objectivity of scientific knowledge could be examined in epistemological and ontological view. The former relates to the rationality, but the latter to the reality. Since the middle of 20th century science philosophers have debated about the objectivity of scientific knowledge. Their opinions are divided three parts by the criteria of objectivity in relation to the rationality. Exactly Objectivism approves the rationality of scientific knowledge, and Falsificationism accepts the panial rationality, but Relativism denies any rationality. In this paper, we will study the objectivity of knowledge in relation to the subjectivity, especially throughout the theory of Kant, Kierkegaard and Wang Yang-ming. Experienced good scientist Polanyi(1946; 1958) have ever suggested the new epistemology as the name of 'personal knowledge'. He argues that scientific knowledge is personal by faith, trust, passions, tacit understanding, method rules embodied in practice. Some implications were discussed for science education from the view of Polanyi. The first holds that science class needs human voice throughout the personal commitment. The second holds that intellectual passions should he recovered. The third holds that the teacher should act like real scientist. Finally, the theory of science education should be established for ourselves.

  • According to critics and architects, non-linear structure is not only an organic form of space, but also a form of space detached from modem style. Accordingly, non-linear structure can be accepted as an alternative to what has remained unsolved by deconstructionist. However, they are criticized for not clarifying the interdependent relationship between non-linearity of space and cognitive structure of human being. They ended up remaining the hypothesis just an intuitive and abstract one. This research began on the basis that their hypothesis is hard to be objectified, and it needs further inquiry. The purpose of this thesis is to explore how the redundant factors constitute non-linear structures of digital media centered space design. Geometric compositions of space structure were analyzed to define what types of redundant factors are contrived in the process of visual information. This study about the visual form, researching the Information Theory, and then offer a quantitative analysis that makes those more objective. Space structure and geometric composition were analyzed to define what types of redundancy are contrived in the process of visual information. In particular, I put higher theoretical emphasis on what characteristics are ensued in the process of structuring spaces than any other subjects. Followings are the conclusion of analysis. First, as a result of examining, we can assume that NOX' space structure is not a chaotic form, but has an operating the form of its own. Second, in case of curvilinear, the structure was found redundancy on mid deviation ratio and discontinuous circular fabric. Although most of their structures appeared complex with a higher coherent constant, they were found to be stable factors because of the low deviation ratio between systems. The amount of surplus information was stable structure as well.

  • Science reporting is easier to lead to failure than other news reporting because it needs higher professionalism. According to Actor-Network Theory(ANT), not only research results(artifacts) of scientists but also science articles are hybrid networks. Namely, they are connected by human actors(scientist, reporter, etc.) and nonhuman actors(press releases etc.). When the process of science reporting is examined on the view of ANT, it is the process that scientists' results translate the media via press releases as intermediaries and expand their network to the public. This study aims at making an ANT analysis of how research results of Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute(ETRI) scientist Hyun-Tak Kim were reported by lots of media, focusing on the rhetoric of ETRI's press release. It can reveal the reason for the science reporting's failure and hint at the better science journalism.

  • GAIN in the US explained in its Pilot/Controller Collaboration Initiatives report that "pilots and air traffic controllers talk to each other all day long, but they rarely communicate." The starting point for the study was the question of whether differences in flight safety perceptions and culture between pilots and air traffic controllers, or other factors, could lead to mutual misunderstandings of procedures and instructions. Digest with The many processes that must be solved within tight deadlines increase the likelihood of accidents through cascading risk factors such as James Reason's Swiss Cheese Theory. Despite the fact that the pilot-air traffic controller complex, which is the subject of flight, occupies a considerable part, there is no integrated management for safe operation between the two groups. Therefore, this research aims to achieve integrated management of safety and education for safe operation between pilots and air traffic controllers through JCRM..

  • A considerable change of the Korean nursing system has been made during the last decade not only in its philosophy but also in its function and structure to meet political and scientific need of the modern society. The main purpose of this study is to develope the new concept of comprehensive nursing care, both its Philosophy and ethics, as the basic of modern clinical nursing theory and practice. Comprehensive nursing care is the concept of human centered nursing care, and it helps a man to meet the basic physical, psychological, environmental, socioeconomic and teaching needs. It also helps him to help himself to meet these needs. This concept starts from the individualized nursing care and its ultimate goal is to improve a man to have a better position in his own community so that he may able to have a meaningful life. To accomplish this goal, an individualized nursing care plan as a nursing diagnosis and problem solving method should be set up for different patients with similar diagnosis to meet their needs, because each patient has a different social background. from this viewpoint, nursing is a science as well as abstruse humanity. The performance of comprehensive nursing care is a goal and issue of modern clinical nursing care. If nursing is a science and a profession for man, it should have ethics which recognize the dignity of man and offers infinite service voluntarily, and should be able to show leadership in carrying out the nursing responsibility. This leadership finds a person's potential and encourages him to utilize it. Such concepts should develop into a nursing ideology and this ideology should become a priority in comprehensive nursing care. The following statements are the conclusion of this study. 1) Modern nursing has been developed from disease centered nursing care to comprehensive nursing care based on humanity. The primary principle of nursing was to assist in the treatment of disease, but it has been changed to the professional nursing system independently. 2) The concept of nursing is one of continuous or endless scope of dispersion. It proves that nursing is grasping the professional responsibility to be able to coordinate scientific principles Patient health problems are according to scientific principles rather than adhering to nursing technical discipline as a daily work. 3) In chapter I and Ⅱ, the philosophy and ideology of nursing have been discussed and the flow of concept of clinical nursing and the rate of progress which emerges from naturalizing performance of the concept of comprehensive nursing in clinical nursing studied. The discussion developed the theory that a nurse should be to embody nursing ideas and objectives by establishing definite conviction of professions and study. 4) In chapter lil, nursing planning based on nursing diagnosis as a method to attain ideal nursing care for humanity with a definite idea of establishing philosophy of nursing was presented. 5) From the result of survey on patient needs about treatment and nursing, it was observed that all patient had emotional stress from unknown factors. Therefore it was concluded that nurses should not only educate the patient but also give them the opportunity to communicate freely their needs and anxieties. Furthermore complaints and doubts of the patient should be carefully noted and must be considered to meet these needs. 6) Patient teaching is the most important part of comprehensive nursing care. In chapter, Ⅲ, the important of patient teaching was emphasized by demonstrating the effect of patient teaching for diabetic patient. 7) In Chapter Ⅳ, from the result of the study on nurses attitudes to comprehensive nursing care, it was pointed that the evolution of nursing education and the establishment of a complete concept and value of comprehensive nursing was necessary.
