A Comparative Study of Building Energy Simulations for Building Types in Multiple Stock Housing based on BIM(Building Information Modeling) (BIM기반의 공동주택 주동 유형별 건물에너지 시뮬레이션 비교에 관한 연구)

  • The energy efficient design of the multiple stock housing is very important not only to save energy but also to increase sustainability in a whole city because the multiple stock housing type is dominated in the major residential supply markets in Korea. During the early design phase of the multiple stock housing type, the architect need convenient and accurate tools for evaluating energy consumptions based on building types rapidly. Building Information Modeling(BIM) is introduced as useful tool systems providing interoperability between 3rd dimensional modeling tools and environmental engineering analysis tools, and could reduce time and cost for unnecessary modeling works in the analysis. However, it is still hard to apply to building design practice and integrated energy simulation techniques because interoperability using industrial standard file formats such as IFC and bXML is still underdeveloped. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to perform the building energy simulations, to compare the results on typical building types in multiple stock housing based on BIM, and to clear the problems using industrial standard file formats between 3rd dimensional modeling and building energy simulation software. In addition, through comparisons with simulation results according to the typical building types such as building forms, orientations, and building stories, the interrelation ship and characteristics of BIM based building energy simulation software are analysed and evaluated.

  • Recently many automotive parts have been made with stainless steels by deep drawing processes, But there are various problems occurred in deep drawing works of stainless steels compared with low carbon steels. For the severe deep drawing of complex cylindrical housing optimum process planning is required to eliminate intermediate annealing improve shape accuracy and maintain surface integrity without drawing defects such as tears wrinkles and scratches or galling. Therefore in this study a sample process planning of the severe of the severe deep drawing process is applied to a complex cylindrical housing needed for a 6 multi-stepped deep drawing of type STS 305 . A series of experiments are performed to investigate optimum process variables such as drawing rate radius and clearance. Through experiments the variations of the thickness strain distribution and hardness distribution in each drawing step are observed. Also the effects of other factors on formability such as drawing oil, blank holding force and die geometry are examined and discussed.

Study on the Selection of Suitable Resident for C.B.D. Living by Using the Logit Model -The Case of Taegu City- (로짓 模型을 利用한 都心居住의 適住者 選定에 관한 硏究 - 大邱市를 中心으로 -)

  • This study is for the development of C.B.D. residential land that is available in the changeable housing market and urban planning paradigm. The results are as follows. First, we developed a Logit model to analyzed the suitable resident for living downtown and we used several variables in the model such as their living place, the location of their works, in come according to sex and age, and whether they have a car or not. Second, in analysis for the suitable residents using the Logit model, the main demanders who live in C.B.D. or have a job there and the young and old were chosen, Third, it shows that the suitable residents prefer semi-C.B.D. because it has convenient accessibility to C.B.D. rater quickly (in ten minutes). They prefer apartment and Mixed-Use building. Fourth, there are much residential land in semi-C.B.D. (63.7%) so as to support enough land in ease of redevelopment. The land price is tremendously low compared to that of land for business or for C.B.D.

  • In 2007, Seoul Metropolitan Government introduced new public rental housing policy called SHift that works as rental deposit base. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the residential satisfaction of SHift. This research has shown conclusively that there is a link between the Location of apartment, Internal Premises, External Premises and satisfaction of SHift residents. The main factors of Residential satisfaction of SHift residents are Location of economical factor. The factor analysis of the 12 factors of variable are confirmed by the internal consistency reliability. This analysis is evaluate on discrimination of the correlation between the dwelling circumstance and the residential satisfaction. The economical factor was the main factor among the Independent variables. It can be concluded that the general overview of the Residential Satisfaction of SHift residents satisfaction is "quite good". But there are maby problems on SHift.

  • After 1970 Years. Korea has developed a concept of public domestic housing. But this house is reached the uppermost limit time of using the occupant's satisfying life. Then reconstruction of Apartment house is urgently needed which is developed in Korea. So this study is examined the demolition work on current reconstructing apartment site. for reconstruction. Therefore this research examined the fitted demolition time of low-rise house and characteristics of demolition works. The conclusions from this experiment are shown below. 1. The average day work in clutcher method is shown about 1, 032㎥/Day. 2. The calculations of the term of construction which is produced by the analysis of demolition construction period on low-rise house is below. D(day) = S(day) + (0.272+0.000902b(㎥))+R(day)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the ambivalent characteristics of dichotomous contradictions expressed by Robert Venturi's architecture. It focused on his Mother's House, which applied his theoretical practices faithfully among many of his architectural works. First, he sought to change interior and exterior spaces by manipulating the architectural scales of "Mother's House". He achieved tension in space through structural complexities in combination with contradictions. Second, as for the characteristics of ambivalent contradictions, including linear and geometric forms, and plane, there were familarity which emphasizes tradition; external appearances of symmetry and asymmetry which give a comfort feeling; openness and closedness, which were expressed with the size of windows and objects such as molding. Third, the fireplace-chimney and the stair were forming appropriate harmony between contradiction and complexity as they competed for central position on the plane.

  • After the industrial revolution, interior of living space have shifted from the spacial structure of existing wall partitions to visually and spacially continuous open space. And these open space can be recognized mostly in the common space of housing architecture of living, dining, and kitchen space composition. In order to understand the characteristics of space and compositional method, the works of Le Corbusier, W. Grupius, and F.L. Wright in their living, dining, and kitchen space design have been analized from the collected materials to make evaluation for the similarities and significance of their space compositional factors. therefore, this study is to analize space composition and design factor of the modern housing space of Living, Dining, and kitchen space variation and character of open space design factor for the practical use as an index of designing contemporary living space.

Residential Quarter Organization and Housing Spatial Form of Fishing Village in Jeonjang-po, Imja-do Island (임자도 전장포마을의 공간구조와 주거형태에 관한 연구)

  • This paper aims to clarify the residential quarter organization and housing spatial form of fishing village in Jeonjang-po, Imja-do Island. The results are as follows. First, the place of residence in Jeonjang-po was located in the place having the south and the north seaside, and the road system was presented by form to connect the north and south. Second, the alley of these north and south direction has a dynamic scenery, but the alley of east-west courses has a horizontal scenery. Third, it is a characteristic that there is very more plottage than the building area of the residential quarters. The reason that plottage has a big is because inner court in the residential quarters are used as places such as the fishery works and the vegetable gardens. Finally, the fishing village house in Jeonjang-po is 4-bay type building is typical type when seeing from the front, and is to have entrance hall at the front of building.

  • Research on the "Modernized Korean traditional housing" (Hanok) has been actively studied in succeeding to Korean traditional housing and providing the public with housing that required for modernized life style. The purpose of this study is to classify work sections for Hanok specifications. This paper analyzed the concepts and characteristics of existing specifications. It was found that the absence of standard classifications is one of the causes of missing work items and mixed scopes. Also, the contents of carpentry works have low level of details. Therefore, Hanok specifications, in this study, are required to have upper level standards and to encompass traditional and new construction methods. Further research will develop standard classifications, standard codes, and automated systems of Hanok specifications for improving quality and effectiveness.

The Study on the Developing Process of BIM Modeling for Urban-life-housing Based on Unit Modular (유닛모듈러 기반 도시형 생활주택의 BIM 모델링 프로세스 개발 연구)

  • The current architectural design of unit modular has been based on 2D of CAD program, so unit modular character which needs unit information management, as a dried-member system, has no effect on design process. The purpose of this study is We have developed a suitable BIM design process, according to various works of construction, then tried to contribute to supply and activation of the urban-life-housing based on unit modular. The BIM modeling process based on unit modular has been in order of unit combination with preparing manual classification, and, it has been constructed, at construction site, from housing foundation to roof finish by Bottom-up method. At a manufacturing factory, it has been produced in order of 1) grouping materials and parts, 2) fabricating unit boxes, and 3) interference examination of unit boxes, and each order has been classified as housing structure, architecture, plumbing process separately. At a construction site, the fabrication has been done in order of, like as a real housing construction scenario, 1) RC foundation work 2) unit module job-site-fabrication work, 3) roof truss work, 4) plumbing and HVAC work, and 5) housing interior finish work. After modeling process, the interference examination on each work of construction has finally completed modeling. The Unit modular utilizing BIM modeling can make easy housing maintenance through systematic control with preparing manual of unit module information, and securing accurate and speedy construction information. And it will promote design credibility and create maximum effect of unit modular construction method, such as construction period reduction and upgrade of construction quality, etc., through the computer simulation as real as construction environment in cyber space, and with the interfering examination.
