The purpose of this study was to investigate housing DB construction for elderly people. Document research and content analysis methods were used in this study. The major results of this study are as follows. The number of elderly household is increasing very rapidly. In particular, they consist of a single person or a couple. These households prefer to live and age in a detached house. However, the social welfare system does not satisfy their needs. Therefore a systematic social support or welfare system is required to reflect their needs. For example, related works of housing welfare need to be prepared so that their data base system correctly reflects the socio-demographic characteristics and living conditions of the elderly.

The purpose of this study is to supply basic data for distinction of Support and Infill in Open Housing. This study is based on archive survey and actual investigation through visiting four sites in Japan, which are experimental SI(skeleton & infill) housings. We found a lot of distinction techniques and methods applied to the SI housings, and findings are applicable to the planning and designing works of apartment housings. Based on the theoretical Studies concerning the distinction and separation of SI housing, this study made out interface map for separation and distinction of housing components and examined a design method of separation accordingly.

Entrepreneurship scholars have defined Corporate Entrepreneurship (CE) in many ways. Generally, works from these scholars had discussed on the common aspects of CE, benefits of CE, types of CE and ways to cultivate and design CE for companies. These scholars also developed models of CE to construct a framework for mapping CE research. From here, the present writers have presented a proposed framework to see how far the factors of CE, their business strategy and external environment influenced the developers' firm performance in housing development industry. However, this is just the initial stage of the study and the model needs to be revised before it can be tested in the field.

As the idea and function of the 'Model House' alters, so does the name - 'Housing Exposition' or 'Housing Cultural Center'. Its function Is not only to show and sell but to educate, promote and show culture. It works as a 'communication ground' about house. With the growing number of the Housing Cultural Center and the importance of function, major construction companies are building it competitively to connect the relationship with clients by expanding service. However, despite the necessity of 'Housing Cultural Center' is increasing, function and component of the Housing Cultural Center are yet defined and also specific direction of design, consumer services and programs are not properly established. Also, they are promoting and selling in lots only for a limited period which have problem in clients to participate and know about the characteristics of each companies promotion. Most of Housing Cultural Centers are similar in concept, shape, color use. The purpose of this research is to analyze the Housing Cultural Center with spacial and visual elements that comprise Housing Cultural Center, and study identity factors, distinct characteristics and build identity of the Housing Cultural Center. Ultimately, companies need to put forth to make difference in their own identity and apply it effectively in order to firmly establish identity.

The growth of housing complex in the Housing Development District in local small and medium cities can be defined to process individual lots are possessed by buildings. The study is the basic research of analysis for the internal factors that affect on the each lot, and is for hypothesis of the verification about the Housing Development District growth. So, it can be applied in the Housing Development District of the site conditions and restriction of use of buildings and infrastructure works and the constant boundary of the region. The rate of the development is the occupation of the individual lots per entire lots was limited as the factor of analysis. As above conditions haver no possibility to change in the Housing Development District, the results of this study and further are available to consider. By the results of the connected study, it can be used for Planning and management of the Housing Development District in local small and medium cities. by the adjustment of the relation between growth tendecy and city's properties or district characters.

It is necessary for us to research and analyze of Open Housing in order to change new housing system, because exiting multi family housing is lack of flexibility and easy remodeling. The purpose of this study is to supply and grasp basic planning and design data for flexibility of Open Housings in Korea. This study is based on the literature survey and actual investigation through visiting 17 open housing sites from 1995 to 2005 in Netherlands, Finland and Japan, which are main Open Housing. We analyzed the planning methods and elements for flexibility of open housing block and unit plan, and described the contents of analyses. We found a lot of planning and design methods-supplying option plan and user participation before occupation, various structural system for openness, common piping shaft location, slab-down and applying access flooring system, movable and demountable partition wall system etc. -applied to the open housings, and findings are applicable to the planning and designing works of apartment housings in Korea.

The purpose of this study is to examine the innovative and experimental housing design alternatives in the transition period to the modern era and to discuss about the motivation of modern architectural form. Thus, first, this study examined the planning concepts and the meaning of new design of the four Werkbund dwelling Exhibitions in eastern Europe reflecting the demands of modern times. Second, I analyzed how the formative experiment appeared as a stereoscopic mass design and as a architectural composition in exterior. Experimental trials at housing exhibitions were to respond to the demands for the new forms, which required a new approach to modern style and aesthetics. The major features of formative experiments can be summarized as follows. First, new housing design have escaped from the historically descended style. Secondly, through the operation of volume and surface modern dwelling created a formative conformation. Finally, the shape and the surface replaced the decoration. In conclusion, the works of modern architects can be said to have achieved the harmony between 'purpose of expression' and 'technical purpose' in realizing the 'Zeitgeist' that corresponds to the paradigm of modern housing.
