  • 현재의 웹은 사용자가 원하는 정보를 정확하고 빠르게 검색 결과를 보여주지 못하는 단점이 있다. 그러므로 사용자에게 정확한 정보 전달을 해 주고자 시맨틱 웹이 등장하게 되었다. 시맨틱 웹은 기계가 이해할 수 있는 온톨로지를 구성하여 사용자가 원하는 정보를 정확하게 전달해 줄 수 있다는 점에서 미래의 웹으로 각광을 받게 될 것이다. 시맨틱 웹의 기반이 되고 있는 온톨로지는 어떤 특정 도메인에서 사용되는 정보들과 그 정보들 간의 관계를 정의해 놓은 것으로 관련 도메인 전문가들과 협의에 의하여 개념들과 관계들의 구조를 정하고 이를 기반으로 구축된다. 실제의 응용 시스템에서는 도메인마다의 구체적인 지식을 포함하는 온톨로지 설계가 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 택배회사가 홈쇼핑사이트 업체를 대상으로 효율적인 마케팅을 하기 위친 홈쇼핑사이트에 대한 기본정보를 추출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 온톨로지를 구축하는 온톨로지 언어에는 RDF, RDF(S), DAML+OIL, OWL. Topic Map등이 있다. 이 논문에서는 토픽맵을 사용하여 홈쇼핑 사이트 정보를 검색하기 위한 홈쇼핑 사이트에 대한 온톨로지를 설계하였다.

Optimization-based humanoid robot navigation using monocular camera within indoor environment

  • Robot navigation allows robot mobility. Therefore, mobility is an area of robotics that has been actively investigated since robots were first developed. In recent years, interest in personal service robots for homes and public facilities has increased. As a result, robot navigation within the home environment, which is an indoor environment, is being actively investigated. However, the problem with conventional navigation algorithms is that they require a large computation time for their building mapping and path planning processes. This problem makes it difficult to cope with an environment that changes in real-time. Therefore, we propose a humanoid robot navigation algorithm consisting of an image processing and optimization algorithm. This algorithm realizes navigation with less computation time than conventional navigation algorithms using map building and path planning processes, and can cope with an environment that changes in real-time.

  • As organizations have come to be more complex and diverse, management has come to spend an increasing proportion of its time and efforts in handling organization conflict. Moreover, organizational conflict problems are often not recognized until the balance of interests is destroyed or a radical organizational change such as BPR takes place. Once an organizational conflict arises, however, it reduces corporate synergy seriously, leading to organizational ineffectiveness. Therefore, it is important to identify the cause of organizational conflict in advance and resolve it based on the proper diagnosis as early as possible lest it should undermine the organizational effectiveness. We propose a method that facilitates diagnosing potential organizational conflict and determining appropriate strategy to the conflict, based on the analysis of cognitive maps. To support the application of the method in the real world context, a computerized tool is introduced. The working procedures of the method and the features of the tool are illustrated with their application to the real case of the cable TV home shopping company.

  • Recently, E-Commerce demands an integrated solution for online and off-line provided to customers on wired / wireless network and various mobile devices. Our E-commerce platform can use anytime, anywhere, for all consumers. And, it can take convenient and secure E-commerce service in mobile environment. So, we will implement a software platform base on the mobile environment that independent of the mobile OS. Particularly, our E-commerce platform is based on 3D GIS information for 3D electronic map. So, all users (customers) have got the more visible convenience. And, by using the e-catalog DB cloud server, off-line store operators can be built the online home-page easily. From now on our E-commerce platform based on 3D GIS can be usable at various E-commerce areas in the ubiquitous environment.

  • As the Internet users are growing, GIS researchers that would like to integrate various GIS informations have more interests for information searching technologies based on Web. But, even though these researches is growing a infinite possibility of utilizing the map, there are not yet providing more functionalized GIS services. This paper proposes a searching mechanism for the teacher information based on the SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) format transformed the SHP format. We also implement the home-page link function inserted Web-connection information of the specific locations that could connect specific school web site within SVG file. We also provide the services to interpret requested query with proposed scheme.

EKF-based SLAM Using Sonar Salient Feature and Line Feature for Mobile Robots (이동로봇을 위한 Sonar Salient 형상과 선 형상을 이용한 EKF 기반의 SLAM)

  • Not all line or point features capable of being extracted by sonar sensors from cluttered home environments are useful for simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) due to their ambiguity because it is difficult to determine the correspondence of line or point features with previously registered feature. Confused line and point features in cluttered environments leads to poor SLAM performance. We introduce a sonar feature structure suitable for a cluttered environment and the extended Kalman filter (EKF)-based SLAM scheme. The reliable line feature is expressed by its end points and engaged togather in EKF SLAM to overcome the geometric limits and maintain the map consistency. Experimental results demonstrate the validity and robustness of the proposed method.

Analysis of Brokerage Commission Policy based on the Potential Customer Value (고객의 잠재가치에 기반한 증권사 수수료 정책 연구)

  • In this paper, we use three cluster algorithms (K-means, Self-Organizing Map, and Fuzzy K-means) to find proper graded stock market brokerage commission rates based on the cumulative transactions on both stock exchange market and HTS (Home Trading System). Stock trading investors for both modes are classified in terms of the total transaction as well as the corresponding mode of investment, respectively. Empirical analysis results indicated that fuzzy K-means cluster analysis is the best fit for the segmentation of customers of both transaction modes in terms of robustness. We then propose the rules for three grouping of customers based on decision tree and apply different brokerage commission to be 0.4%, 0.45%, and 0.5% for exchange market while 0.06%, 0.1%, 0.18% for HTS.

  • 최근 여성, 아동을 대상으로 한 범죄 발생률이 증가 하고 있다. 이러한 통계를 기반으로 우리 생활 깊숙이 자리 매김한 스마트 폰 애플리케이션을 활용하여 범죄를 예방에 도움을 줄 수 있는 애플리케이션을 개발 하였다. SQLite를 이용한 Database기능과 Google API Package의 MapView를 사용하여 지인의 정보를 놓고 언제든지 사용자의 위치정보를 빠르게 전달할 수 있는 앱을 구현 하여 주기적인 위치전송으로 인한 사용자의 위치파악이 가능하고, 위급상황 시 긴급전화를 이용하여 사고 대처가 가능하며, GPS를 이용한 본인의 위치 주변 지리 파악이 용이하다. 또한 수신자가 발신자의 이동경로를 한눈에 봄으로써 위치파악에 용이 함으로 안전한 귀가 서비스를 제공한다.

  • This paper is about the implementation of the OFDM-based border guard/reconnaissance communication terminal systems. We have implemented Real-time Dynamic DL/UL symbol rate control function using the DL-MAP message, and proposed error detection method caused by malfunctioning and timing optimization method. The proposed scheme detects the variable rate symbol decoding timing without increasing additional physical layer logic, and also provides a wide variety of DL/UL data transfer rate. Furthermore, the proposed scheme applies to the current border guard/reconnaissance equipment and confirms a operation performance through field tests and demonstration at home and abroad.

  • The rapid increase of the elderly living alone is a critical issue in worldwide as it leads to a rapid increase of a social support costs (e.g., medical expenses) for the elderly. In early stages of dementia, the activities of daily living (ADL) including self-care tasks can be affected by abnormal patterns or behaviors and used as an evidence for the early diagnosis. However, extracting activities using non-intrusive approach is still quite challenging and the existing methods are not fully visualized to understand the behavior pattern or routine. To address these issues, this research suggests a model to extract the activities from coarse-grained data (spatio-temporal data log) and visualize the behavioral context information. Our approach shows the process of extracting and visualizing the subject's spaceactivity map presenting the context of each activity (time, room, duration, sequence, frequency). This research contributes to show a possibility of detecting subject's activities and behavioral patterns using coarse-grained data (limited to spatio-temporal information) with little infringement of personal privacy.
