Purpose: This quasi-experimental study was performed to evaluate the effectiveness of an early nursing intervention program to support mothers of children aged 0-3 yr living in poverty. Methods: In this study, mothers who received financial support from the government were recruited from one city and assigned to an intervention group (24) and comparison group (18). They completed a baseline questionnaire about depression, child rearing burden, agreement on physical punishment, and child temperament. Also, Denver II screening of the children was performed by the researcher. Mothers in the intervention group received a home visit intervention every two weeks for three months. At 3-months post-baseline, questionnaire and Denver II screening were reused to compare these two groups. Results: Mother's depression, child rearing burden, agreement on physical punishment, and child temperament were not significantly different between the two groups. However, the percentage of depression declined only in the intervention group. The 「Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Crimes of Domestic Violence」 still has various problems in the legal system and enforcement process. Contrary to the original intention of the legislation, it is operated very passively in terms of state intervention and punishment of domestic violence actors in actual operation. Even if it is treated as a home protection case, if you look at the details of the protection disposition, there is a problem that the decision on the protection disposition is biased towards a specific type of protection disposition. In order to improve this, the need for cooperation and active intervention between state agencies is required. In addition, it is necessary to establish a legal basis for a request for personal protection by recognizing the status of a victim who reported domestic violence as a crime reporter. In addition, in order to secure the effectiveness of the protective disposition, it is necessary to strengthen sanctions for non-compliance or violations of the protective disposition.
The purpose of this study was to find out whether home environmental variables had a greater effect on adolescents' violence against parents. The results of self-reporting questionnaires are as follows ; The victims of violence are mainly mothers. The socio-economic status didn't influence on the degree of violence against parents. The adolescents of the extreme family type used more serious violent behavior. The higher the degree of observed and experienced violence is, the higher the degree of violence against parents. Also, the higher the degree of home education is, the lower the degree of violence against parents. Of all variables, the observed violence and structure-environmental variables account for 37.6% of adolescents' violence against parents. The results of in-depth interview showed that birth-order didn't affect violence against parents. The victims of violence were mainly stepmothers and stepfathers. These parents' educational attitudes were disagreement in parents, seriously inflicted corporal punishment and were indifferent to adolescent. Also, interviewed adolescents were observed and experienced violence in home and used violence against others.
This paper is study the ways of finding sexual abuse facts of children at home and the standards of recognizing such facts. The investigation and recognition about sexual abuse of children are necessary for remedy or care of children and their family and also for punishment upon the harmer or sanction against him by family laws. But, on account of the characteristics of sexual abuse acts and the standpoint that sufferers are children, it's very difficult to find those kinds of facts. Medical examinations, observations by specialists behavioral indicators, use of dolls & other props, and interviewing are applied to finding sexual abuse facts of children. However, these investigating methods have many uppermost limits, and don't necessarily have conformable conclusions. especially 'interviewing' is essentially used to find a child who has suffered sexual abuses and to investigate and examine a harmer who has been charged with such sexual acts. but 'interviewing' has no less obstacles in reality than has some utilities. For that reason, a follow-up study of (what is) the most effective method is required, with the case=by-case application of other methods. And along with that, it must be taken into consideration that, in process of finding a sexually abused child and in ex post facto measure against accompanying ill effects, the child's protection and the family's privacy ought to be legally guaranteed. So to speak, in making and enforcing the family laws, a profound study of the family to produce good fruits must be made.
