서울시 중.고등학생들의 학교아침급식 참여 의사에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting Intention to Participate in School Breakfast Programs of Middle and High School Students in Seoul)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine factors affecting intention to participate in school breakfast programs of middle and high school students in Seoul using the Theory of Planned Behavior. Out of 2,280 questionnaires distributed to the middle and high school students, 2,060 were returned (90.4% response rate) and 1,799 were analyzed (78.9% analysis rate). To determine factors affecting intention to participate in school breakfast programs, logistic regression analyses were conducted for middle and high school students, respectively. For logistic regression, data of 1,217 out of 1,799 students (637 middle and 580 high school students) were used after excluding 582 students which had an answer 'Not sure' to the question about intention to participate in school breakfast programs. In case of middle school students, male than female students (OR = 1.504), the students who skipped all breakfast (OR = 1.851), who ate breakfast $1{\sim}2$ times (OR = 3.474) or $3{\sim}4$ times (OR = 1.950) than those who ate breakfast everyday during weekdays of the previous week were more likely to participate in school breakfast programs. In case of high school students, male than female (OR = 1.967), the students who skipped all breakfast (OR = 4.187), the students who ate breakfast $1{\sim}2$ times (OR = 3.024) or $3{\sim}4$ times (OR = 2.095) than those who ate breakfast everyday during weekdays of the previous week were more likely to participate in school breakfast programs. In addition, both possibility of middle and high school students' participation in school breakfast programs increased as the satisfaction with school lunch service (OR = 1.704, 1.653) increased. Middle school students who perceived their household income level 'low or middle low' (OR = 1.999) than those who perceived their household income level 'middle' and the students who had more positive 'attitude' (OR = 1.311) toward eating breakfast were more likely to participate in school breakfast programs. However, high school students who had higher 'perceived difficulty in access to breakfast' (OR = 1.370) were more likely to participate in school breakfast programs. The results of this study could be useful data to plan and develop school breakfast programs in Korea.

전환기 청소년의 학교적응이 우울에 미치는 영향 : 부모지지, 부모감독, 친구지지의 중재효과 (The Effects of Adolescents' School Adjustment on Depression in Their Transitional Period : The Moderating Effects of Parental Support, Parental Monitoring, and Peer Support)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of adolescents' school adjustment on depression in their transitional period and to find the moderating effects of parental support, parental monitoring, and peer support on the relationship between school adjustment and depression. The participants were 550 first graders in three middle schools in Incheon Metropolitan City and Kyung-gi Province. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, adolescents' school adjustment had significant effects on depression. The lower the level of school adjustment was, the higher the level of depression was. Second, parental support, parental monitoring, and peer support had moderating effects on the relationship between school adjustment and depression. Parental support decreased the depression of adolescents who were at a lower level of adjustment to peer relationship or school class. Parental monitoring decreased the depression of adolescents who were at a lower level of adjustment to school adjustment. On the contrary, parental monitoring increased the depression of adolescents who were at a higher level of adjustment to school adjustment. Peer support decreased the depression of adolescents who were at a lower level of adjustment to school class.

대응 명료화 전략 및 비유물의 제시 시기가 중학생들의 과학 개념 이해에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Clarified Mapping Strategy and Placement of Analog on Middle School Students' Conceptual Understanding in Science)

  • 본 연구에서는 대응 명료화 전략 및 비유물의 제시 시기가 중학생들의 개념 이해에 미치는 효과를 조사하였다. 대응 명료화 전략 유무와 비유물의 제시 시기에 따라 네 종류의 학습 교재를 제작하였고, 예비 적용을 통해 수정 보완하였다. 수업 처치 이전에 장의존성/장독립성 검사를 실시하고, 사전 학업 성취도를 조사하였으며, 이 점수들을 구획 변인으로 사용하였다. 111명의 중학생들에게 네 가지 유형의 학습 교재를 우선 배포하여 읽게 한 직후 개념 검사를 실시하고, 4주 후에 개념의 파지 검사를 실시하였다. 학습 직후 개념 검사 및 파지 검사의 회상 문제에서는 대응 명료화 전략 유무나 비유물의 제시 시기에 따른 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았으나, 응용 문제에서 대응 명료화 전략을 사용한 집단의 점수가 사용하지 않은 집단의 점수에 비해 유의미하게 높았다. 장독립적인 학습자는 대응 명료화 전략을 사용하지 않았을 때보다 사용했을 때 학습 직후 개념 응용에서 유의미하게 높은 접수를 얻었으며, 사전 성취 수준이 높은 학습자는 대응 명료화 전략을 사용하지 않았을 때보다 사용했을 때 개념 응용 파지에서 유의미하게 높은 점수를 얻었다. 또한, 학습 직후 개념 응용에서 사전성취 수준이 높은 학습자는 대응 명료화 전략과 함께 비유물-목표 개념의 순서로 학습했을 때 유의미하게 높은 점수를 얻었으나, 사전 성취 수준이 낮은 학습자는 대응 명료화 전략과 함께 목표 개념-비유물의 순서로 학습했을 때 유의미하게 높은 점수를 얻었다.

부산 . 경남지역 중학교 남학생의 학년에 따른 컴퓨터 음란물 접촉실태에 관한 연구 (A Study on the contact to lascivious computer programs and sexual attitude and behaviour by the grade of middle school students in Pusan and Kimhae area)

  • To evaluate the status of the contact to lascivious computer programs and sexual attitude and behaviour by the grades of middle school boy students, the questionnaire survey was done on 715 students of five middle schools in Pusan and Kimhae area from December 15 to December 24, 1997. The data were analyzed by PC SAS; $X^2$ -test. The level of significance was 0.05. 404 students (56.5%) had a personal computer in their home. 516 students(72.2%) have experienced of using a computer program. 294(57%) of them usually played a game with computer. 514 students(71.9%) had experiences of the contact to a lascivious computer program, which increased with the grades of the students(p〈0.05). The first exposure to a lascivious program was when they were elementary school students in 24.6% of first grade middle school student, 13.8% of second grade, and 11.3% of 3rd grade students. 92% of the students was introduced to first contact through their friends. 63.7% of them watch the program at their friends home. The most common drives to contact to a lascivious programs were curiosity (53%). Sexual desire was a higher drive in third grade students (20.6%) than lower grades. After contacting to a computer lascivious program, desire of masterbation was more frequent in lower grade students. and feeling disgust was more frequent in higher grade students (p〈0.05). Frequence of masterbation or sexual intercourse was higher in high grade students(p〈0.05) In conclusion, distribution and popular use of computer attributes to the increased exposure to lascivious programs and lowering the age of first exposure. There was the difference according to the grades in the feeling and sexual behaviour after contacting to computer lascivious program. Appropriate methods to protect young students to contact a lascivious program should be sought. The use of computer should be educated in elementary school students accompanied by proper sex education.

여성노인의 가구유형 및 빈곤여부에 따른 삶의 만족도 (Life Satisfaction of Older Women Focused on Household Types and Poverty Levels)

  • This study aimed to identify and compare variables affecting life satisfaction of older women by focusing on household types and poverty levels. The study used data from the Korea Longitudinal Study of Aging administered by the Korea Labor Institute in 2006. The data for 1,017 older women ages over 65 including 427 single households and 590 couple households was analyzed. First, interaction effects of household types and poverty levels on life satisfaction were statistically significant. For the non-poverty households of older women, there was no explicit difference between single households and couple households in life satisfaction, but for the poverty households, single households were lower in life satisfaction than couple households. Second, as a result of reviewing four groups of older women (poverty-single household, poverty-couple household, non-poverty-single household, and non-poverty-couple household), besides religion, it was found that there were significant differences in age, education level, number of children, health level, residence area, and status of economic activity. Third, when analyzing variables affecting life satisfaction, common predictors for the four groups were health level and ownership of house. Older women who perceived to be healthier and owned their own homes were higher in life satisfaction. For poverty-single households, older women with over middle school graduation were also higher in life satisfaction, but for poverty-couple households, older women with over middle school graduation and more children were higher.

Students' dietary habits, food service satisfaction, and attitude toward school meals enhance meal consumption in school food service

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to compare student consumption of school meals by school level, to identify the influencing factors of school meal consumption, and to assess improvement needs of school food service among students. SUBJECTS/METHODS: A total of 1,441 elementary, middle, and high school students attending 58 schools in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea participated in the survey in 2015. A questionnaire and informed consent forms for students and legal guardians were sent home and completed responses were returned to the researcher. RESULTS: Approximately 58% of the students perceived the portion sizes of school meals as appropriate and 76.1% consumed almost all or all of the meals served. More elementary and middle school students than high school students consumed almost all or all of the meals (P < 0.001). A regression analysis revealed that the students with a higher dietary behavior score (P < 0.001), higher satisfaction with food service (P < 0.001), a higher environmental protection practice score (P < 0.05), and more positive attitudes toward school meals (P < 0.01) consumed significantly more meals. The provision of foods that taste good and reflecting student opinions on menus were the most important factors for increasing school meal consumption. CONCLUSIONS: To increase consumption of school meals, food service staff should provide students with quality meals and engage students in school food service. Nutrition education that emphasizes healthy eating behaviors and cafeteria environment modification that applies strategies based on behavioral economics can encourage students to consume more school meals.

중학생의 자기조절학습능력 수준에 따른 과학의 탐구능력 및 과학의 정의적 영역 특징 분석 (Self-Regulated Learning Ability Related to Science Inquiry Skill and Affective Domain of Science in Middle School Students)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 중학생의 자기조절학습능력의 수준을 측정하고, 자기조절학습능력과 과학의 탐구능력, 과학의 정의적 영역의 특징을 분석하는 데 목적을 두었다. 본 연구의 연구문제는 첫째, 중학생의 자기조절학습능력의 수준이 어떻게 되는가? 둘째, 자기조절학습능력과 과학의 탐구능력 간에 어떤 관계가 있는가? 셋째, 자기조절학습능력과 과학의 정의적 영역은 어떤 관계가 있는가? 이다. 연구방법은 첫째, 자기조절학습능력, 과학의 탐구능력, 과학의 정의적 영역의 이론적 배경을 조사하였다. 둘째, 자기조절학습능력, 과학의 탐구영역, 과학의 정의적 영역의 검사지를 다음과 같이 구성하였다. (1) 자기조절학습능력 검사(정현철 등, 2004) (2) 과학의 탐구능력검사 중 문제발견능력검사(정현철 등, 2004) (3) 과학의 정의적 영역설문(서혜애 등, 2008). 연구대상은 부산광역시, 울산광역시, 경상남도 소재의 7개 학교 3개 학년 재학생을 무작위로 선정하였으며, 총704명의 응답결과를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 자기조절학습능력의 수준은 3.02였으며, 둘째, 과학의 탐구능력이 높은 학생들은 자기조절학습능력도 높게 (p<.05)나타났다. 셋째, 과학의 정의적 영역의 특징은 남학생이 여학생보다 높은 자기 효능감을 나타냈다. 학년이 올라갈수록 과학의 정의적 영역은 감소(p=.048)하였다. 특히 자기 효능감에서 가장 큰 유의한(p=.002) 차이를 보였다. 넷째, 자기조절학습능력과 과학의 탐구능력, 과학의 정의적 영역 모두 통계적으로 유의한(p=.000) 상관이 있었다. 이는 자기조절학습능력이 높은 학생은 과학의 탐구능력이 높고, 과학의 정의적 영역도 높다고 볼 수 있다.

건강증진학교에서 초등학교와 중학교 학생들의 정신건강 실태 및 관련된 가정-사회적 요인들 (Mental Health of Elementary and Middle School Students, and Related Familial-Social Factors in Health Promoting School)

  • Purpose: This study was a part of preliminary survey for establishing Korean HPS(Health Promoting School) model which was originally suggested by WHO. Methods: Three elementary and middle schools were sampled in urban and rural area across three level of social-economic status, and survey was conducted on one class in each grade by random selection. To measure mental health and social and familial factors, self-esteem scale, self-efficacy scale, depression scale, family cohesion scale, parent-child communication scale, adolescent's mental health and problem behavior questionnaire(AMPQ), and other question items about family status and economic level were conducted. Students' mental health level was compared by region, sex, grade, and other familial and economic factors. Results: Familial and social factors such as economical and educational level of parents, number of family members were different between rural and urban area. Also, students of rural area got lower scores at self-esteem, self-efficacy, but higher scores at extroverted problem behavior than their urban counterparts. In pre-school students, high grade students' self-esteem, and family cohesion scores were lower than low grade students. And sexual differences were found across problem behavior domain and region in middle school students. Especially, the students of single-parent family and lower economic family got insistently low scores at various mental health related scales. Conclusion: These results should be considered, when the HPS model is designed and applied in Korea.

조리실습교육에 대한 학습자의 요구도 조사 (Research on the Needs of Learners for Cooking Practice Education)

  • The study was aimed to estimate the degree of recognition of, satisfaction with and needs for cooking practice education. 300 female students of middle schools and high schools in Seoul, Kyung-gi, Inchon area were targeted fer the research, which has been conducted from January 1st to December 20th in 2003. The crosstab, the t-test, and the ANOVA analysis were processed as methods using SPSS. The study showed that most of students had experienced cooking exercises, and the degree of satisfaction of the high school group was higher than that of the middle school group. Both groups answered they wanted more time for the cooking practice classes and the middle school group had the greater necessity. The necessity far practice lessons of cooking traditional foods reaches n high level in both groups, All the students answered they liked both western and traditional foods, but preferred the traditional food to the western one. They also believed the traditional food was more healthy than the western one. In terms of the needs for cooking practice education, the middle school group wanted to learn how to cook cake, pie, steak potato chip, and hamburger, while the high school group wanted cake, pie, steak sandwich, and potato chip. As for the traditional food, the middle school group wanted to learn how to cook Naegmyun(cold noodles), fried rice, rice hash, dumpling soup, and knife-cut noodles. The high school group, however, picked knife-cut noodles, fried rice, iced noodles, rice hash, and rice-cake soup.

김정은 시대 북한 고급중 1 화학 교과서 시각자료 분석 (Analysis of Inscription in North Korean Higher-Level Middle School 1 Chemistry Textbook in the Kim Jong-Un Era)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 북한 김정은 시대의 고급중 1 '화학' 교과서의 시각자료를 분석하여 북한 화학 교육을 이해하는데 도움이 되는 기초 자료로 제공하기 위함이다. 북한 고급중 1 '화학' 교과서 단원별 시각자료 유형과 기능을 분석하고, 남한의 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 '화학 I' 교과서의 시각자료와 비교하였다. 선행 연구를 바탕으로 하여 분석틀을 구성하여 시각자료를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 북한 교과서에서 사용된 시각자료의 유형은 사진과 삽화가 가장 많고, 그래프가 가장 적게 사용되었다. 둘째, 북한 교과서에서 사용된 시각자료의 기능은 탐구적 기능과 예시적 기능이 많고, 장식적 기능이 가장 적게 사용되었다. 셋째, 북한과 남한의 교과서 시각자료는 유형과 기능이 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 이 연구 결과는 북한 화학 교육 이해에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.
