A transition from elementary to secondary school, and among grades, among learning contents is a essential problem in education. A connectivity between learning contents is important in student's growth and development. A gap between lower grades and higher grades in elementary school is no less extensive than a gap between elementary mathematics and secondary mathematics. In this paper, we start with a critical mind about a transition and connectivity between lower grades and higher grades in elementary school. In order to compare between elementary grades, we firstly focus 4th grade mathematics which finish lower grades and start higher grades at the same time. First, we make up a questionnaire to 4th grade students and teachers in charge 4th grade. A questionnaire is composed of questions about the degree of difficulty in the learning(and teaching) of 4th grade mathematics comparing with 3rd grade mathematics. Second, we compare to lower grades lessons(1st grade) and 4th grade lessons using a qualitative method. we analyze the lesson contents, activities and time through 'analysis of the learning course'. And we compare the pattern of eliciting questions, question patterns, nomination patterns and feedback patterns between 1st grade and 4th grade lessons. We hope that this paper is a fundamental sources in investigating a connectivity between lower grades and higher grades in elementary mathematics in the future.
Purpose: Online food delivery platforms face challenges to operational efficiency due to increasing demand, a shortage of drivers, and the constraint of a one-order-at-a-time delivery policy. It is imperative to find solutions to address the inefficiencies in the food delivery industry. Bundling multiple orders can help resolve these issues, but it requires complex computations due to the exponential increase in possible order combinations. Research design, data and methodology: This study proposes three bundle delivery systems-static, dynamic, and hybrid-utilizing a machine learning-based classification model to reduce the number of order combinations for efficient bundle computation. The proposed systems are analyzed through simulations using market data from South Korea's online food delivery platforms. Results: Our findings indicate that implementing bundle systems extends service coverage to more customers, increases average driver earnings, and maintains lead times comparable to standalone deliveries. Additionally, the platform experiences higher service completion rates and increased profitability. Conclusions: This suggests that bundle systems are cost-effective and beneficial for all stakeholders in online food delivery platforms, effectively addressing the inefficiencies in the industry.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between thinking style and learning style of gifted children in elementary school. The subjects were 178 fourth, fifth and sixth grade elementary school students who enrolled in gifted education program. They were given the Thinking Style Questionnaire and the Grasha Reichmann Student Learning Style Questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and canonical correlation analysis were performed. Results indicated that gifted students prefer legislative, judical, liberal, local, hierarchic, external thinking styles known to be related to creative and critical thinking rather than executive and conventional styles. Meanwhile, in the aspect of learning style, independent learning style than the dependent learning style, competitive style than the collaborative style, and participatory style than the avoiding style were significantly scored higher. The canonical analysis showed that thinking styles and learning styles share 59%(Rc=.77) each other, indicating the two variables had significant close relationship. External, liberal, hierarchic, judical, executive, and liberal thinking styles in the order named showed higher cross loading in the independent variable set, likewise independent, participatory, collaborative, and competitive learning styles in the dependant variable set. The results indicate that the external, liberal, hierarchic, judical, executive, and liberal thinking styles can be the significant predictors of independent, participatory, collaborative, and competitive learning styles. The implications of the study related to the gifted education were discussed in depth.
The purpose of this study is to analyze on the differences in perceptions of teachers and students for teaching and learning of the gifted in the elementary invention. The results are as follows. First, the result appears that although the majority of teachers & students are spontaneously joining in that learning course due to lots of interest, the response rate for how to come in that learning course has been higher in the case of a male teacher being obligatory and female students being recommend by their teacher or parents. Second, the teachers who take disjunction of teaching and learning think that they are dealing with the basic knowledge or necessity of the invention and the content of a class for how to create a clever idea. However, it has analysed that phenomenon of estrangement for teaching & learning occur because students meaningfully recognize that learning arise less than the recognition from teaching teacher statistically. Third, it has analysed that the intention of teaching from teachers such as, evaluation, debate, and presentation is not well reflected in student's learning. Finally, it has shown that the class satisfaction from students and teachers is generally higher. Hence, in order to minimize the phenomenon of estrangement, it needs to understand the interaction between teaching and learning. Moreover a variety of teaching methods should be studied to facilitate learning and systematically manage a invention of the gifted education efficiently.
This study is focused on the effect and satisfaction of Education of Music Appreciation by utilizing music game. In order to come up with the result, the study has conducted an experimental comparison using 107 male and female 4th grade students at G-elementary school in Gyeonggi-do. As a result, the class that teaches with the game has relatively higher learning assessment, study involvement and in particular, has a significantly increased satisfaction level than the class that only uses music appreciation. In addition, it analyzes that study involvement and satisfaction has an effect on learning assessment. The results of this research deemed to contribute direction of planning on learning contents by applying Smart Devices in regular school classes.
E-learning in Korea supports different educational needs of diverse learners. E-learning became one of the major source of educational services for schools, higher education, lifelong learning, and for special education. Many e-learning contents offered by cyber universities use HTML, CSS, and Flash, and these are known to have limitations on accessibilities. People with disabilities or aged have problems accessing such contents. The purpose of this study is to evaluate accessibility of Flash e-learning contents offered by 9 cyber universities. AccChecker is used to assess accessibility of the contents. The result shows many errors and warning with Text Equivalents, Keyboard Navigation, Properties, Depth of Tree, and Structures that restrict access. In order to improve the quality and expansion of quality e-learning contents, we need aggressive measures to obtain accessibility of contents, and these should be designed at the planning phase rather than adjusted during the development stage. Furthermore, it is vital to train instructional designers, developers and the CEOs to realize the importance of accessibility and learn appropriate skills to increase accessibilities of e-learning contents.

This study tried to analyze the learning effectiveness of multi-media based class by comparing with traditional classroom method. The "Basic Agricultural Technology" course that is one of the required courses of agricultural high school was selected and its contents were digitalized on MS Powerpoint for multi-media based class. The thirty students were sampled for each experimental and control groups. The homogeneity and learning achievement of sample groups were tested for experiment. Same teacher took the classes of two groups and delivered same contents of course. Only difference between two groups was the delivery method, one is traditional classroom teaching method and the other was the multi-media based class. The learning achievements and satisfaction of sample were post-tested in order to analyze the learning effectiveness by comparing two teaching methods. The results showed that there was a significant difference between experimental and control group in learning achievement after ANCOVA controlled pre-test as covariance(F=5.08, p<.05). It means that the learning achievement of multi-media based class was higher than that of traditional classroom group. The results also showed that a significant difference in students’ satisfaction between two groups (t=5.57, p<.001). This study concluded that using multi-media in class could produce more learning achievements and satisfaction of students than traditional classroom method.
For the purpose of turning learners' locus of control into internal-controllable variables, counseling materials were developed, and attribution counseling was given. The counseling effects were practically confirmed by way of teaching and evaluation in the actual classes, and furthermore the efforts to provide learners with successful experiences in learning were repeatedly made. As a result, the conclusions are as follows: 1. The procedure of Individual counseling for learning attribution based on individual standard grades and data of the variable order of merit apparently shows learners that if learners are to try their best in learning, they will surely go far in terms of learning in the near future. 2. The procedure of Individual counseling for teaming attribution based on achievement distribution in individual behavior-oriented fields suggests to learners that how to learn is as important as how much effort they make. Surely enough, learners are required to make more effective and efficient efforts, considering their own learning abilities. 3. With the above 1, 2 procedures involved, learners have attributed locus of causality in achievement to their internal-controllable causes. 4. With preparatory assignments according to learner's abilities provided, even slower learners came to be assured that their constant efforts could give rise to success in learning achievement. 5. Above all, it was confirmed that the learners' struggling attitude might well have a significant correlation with achievement success. The learners who are willing to attribute locus of causality in achievement to their internal-controllable causes or strenuous efforts and intrinsic motivation tend to be convinced that they can address themselves to whatever faces them, so they can set up specific learning goals fit for their abilities. Accordingly, they will bit by bit acquire successful experiences (often called 'Aha' experiences) and in turn, feeling the senses of self-efficacy and self-esteem enough to push their efforts even further, they can grow to form a positive self-concept. With one successful experience after another fed back into learners, they are gradually motivated to bring the oncoming achievement expectation to a higher level. To conclude, it is necessary that instruction leading to internal-controllable attribution should be provided, inducing learners to recognize success and failure in learning achievement as a result of their strenuous efforts.
In this study, the effects of two types of reward methods in cooperative learning were investigated upon students' achievement, learning motivation, perceptions of learning environment and perceptions of reward methods. Seventh graders (N=61) were selected from a co-ed middle school in Seoul, and were taught about 'three states of matter', 'motion of molecules' and 'change of state and thermal energy' for 14 class hours. Reward methods were classified into task-oriented reward and performance-oriented reward. The results revealed that high-level students performed better in the task-oriented reward group, and low-level students performed better in the performance-reward group for the 'application' subcategory of the achievement test. The scores of attention and relevance in learning motivation and task orientation, involvement, and order and organization in perceptions of learning environment test were significantly higher in the task-oriented reward group than those in the performance-oriented reward group.
