  • In compared with air insulated switchgear, GIS has a high efficiency and confidence. Insulation method using $SF_6$ gas has a very excellent insulation characteristic for high voltage equipment but has a characteristic that insulation heredity is changed for internal unequal electric field. So analysis of time varying electromagnetic field in GIS is very important for structure design and trouble diagnosis process. In compared with established method, the SNM(Spatial Network Method) in this Paper can observe variation of electromagnetic field with real time and get result very similar to measurement. In order to Know variation of electromagnetic field distribution in fast moving particle, we make used of SNM.

  • In order to achieve high efficiency and low cost, new high-speed addressing method is suggested. This can be achieved by reducing the address discharge delay time through the priming effect. This paper suggests a new ADR (Address During Reset) driving method which provides priming particles by using a separated driving method without adding auxiliary electrode or auxiliary discharge. The experimental results show an approximately loons reduction in the formative delay time of address discharge and a reduction in jitter of over 200ns. Also, due to enough time being available for reset, there was a reduction in light emitted during reset of about 29% which improved the dark contrast ratio considerably.

  • In this paper, an efficient texture compression method is proposed for fast rendering, which exploits the spatial correlation among blocks through intra-picture block matching. Texture mapping is widely used to enhance the visual quality of results in real-time rendering applications. For fast texture mapping, it is necessary to identify an effective trade-off between compression efficiency and computational complexity. The conventional compression methods utilized for image processing (e.g., JPEG) provide high compression efficiency while resulting in high complexity. Thus, low complexity methods, such as ETC1, are often used in real-time rendering applications. Although these methods can achieve low complexity, the compression efficiency is still lower than that of JPEG. To solve this problem, we propose a texture compression method by reducing the spatial redundancy between blocks in order to achieve the better compression performance than ETC1 while maintaining complexity that is lower than that of JPEG. Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves better compression efficiency than ETC1, and the decoding time is significantly reduced compared to JPEG while similar to ETC1.

  • In order to develop an analytical method for amikacin and butirosin in presence of their parent antibiotics, kanamycin A and ribostamycin, high-performance liquid chromatographic technique and microbioassay method were evaluated and compared. Using high performance liquid chromatography, two acylated antibiotics, amikacin and butirosin was partially separated from their parent antibiotics, to provide a qualitative analytical method. In microbioassay using Pseudomonas aeruginosa TI-13, a producer of aminoglycoside-3-phosphotransferase I, only acylated antibiotics were selectively analyzed when paper disc-susceptibility assay was used. The standard curve showed a good correlation between the response and odse in semilogarithmic plat with correlation coefficients above 0.96, and analytical deviation from expected dose was within 10%.

  • A computationally efficient numerical method based on potential flow is developed for time-domain simulation of the nonlinear free-surface flows around a 2-dimensional hydrofoil. This numerical method, namely, spectral/boundary-element method, is a mixed one of the high-order spectral method and the boundary-element method in time-domain. The high-order spectral method is used to calculate the nonlinear evolution of free-surface, and the boundary-element method is used to calculate the effects of the hydrofoil and the shed vortex. As application examples, nonlinear free-surface flows around a 2-dimensional hydrofoil which starts from the rest and translates near the free-surface with or without harmonic oscillations are calculated. Nonlinear/unsteady results of free-surface waves and hydrodynamic farces are shown and discussed. Particularly, the results of steady-state which are obtained as a special case of the present unsteady solution are compared with others' calculated and experimental results, and good agreements are observed.

  • In order to increase productivity and efficiency, high-speed rotating machines become popular these days. The high-speed rotating machine is likely to vibrate and cause machine failure even though it has small unbalance. Therefore, a balancing technique is studied in this paper. Off-line balancing methods are inadequate to solve unbalance vibration problem occurring in the field due to flexible rotor effect, faster tool change, and shorter spin-up and down, etc. An active balancing is suggested to allow re-balancing of the entire rotating assembly in the machine when a tool is changed. This paper shows how to identify the dynamics of the system using influence coefficient and suggest an active balancing technique based on influence coefficient method for high-speed spindle system.

  • The high-speed train enjoys widespread acceptance as environment-friendly means of medium- to long-distance transportation. The pursuit of higher speed and lighter weight in railroad vehicles has engendered higher noise level. In particular, the environmental noise places many restrictions in the operation of high-speed railroad vehicles. This research investigates the effect of installing a skirt onto a high-speed train bogie with the top speed of 400 km/hr and using High Speed EMU for the purpose of reducing the environmental noise. In order to analyze the effect of the interior noise and environmental noise due to installation of the skirt, sound level is calculated using the Ray method and Statical Energy Analysis method. The numerical calculation predicts a reduction of approximately 2 dB in the environmental noise level, but at the cost of increase of approximately 2.5 dB in the interior noise level of the vehicle.

  • In this study, prediction of later-age compressive strength of ultra-high strength concrete, based on the accelerated strength of concrete cured in 50, 60℃ warm water was investigated. W/B of 32, 23.5, 19% 3 levels were examined. And the specimens were cured in 50, 60℃ warm water. The results showed reliable accuracy by regression relation between 28day strength cured by standard curing method and accelerated strength of the concrete cured in warm water. And the specimens cured in 50, 60℃ showed more high strength development. So 60℃ curing could be considered in order to reduce the measurement error. As a result, the feasibility of 50, 60℃ warm water curing method at high strength level was confirmed.

  • The automobile industry is a wide range of related industries, including parts manufacturing and vehicle assembly, press processing is an essential element in making automobiles. Press processing is a processing method for metal sheets that has relatively high dimensional and shape precision and is suitable for mass production. It refers to processing by attaching a special tool, a mold, to a press machine. Recently, the automobile industry is attempting to reduce the weight of automobiles in order to reduce carbon emissions due to global warming, and the use of high-strength steel sheets, which are lighter than general structural steel sheets, is a natural trend. Shear processing is required to use high-strength steel, and the shape of the shear surface created by shear processing has a significant impact on the quality of the automobile. Therefore, various methods are being attempted to improve the share surface during shear processing. Among them, shaving processing is a method of shearing the primary shearing area again, and it is difficult to obtain an accurate answer because complex deformation occurs in the microscopic shear area. Therefore, in this study, the effect of machining allowance on shaving processing was analyzed using the finite element method using high-strength steel plate (SPFH590), and the differences were compared and examined through actual experiments under the same conditions.
