  • This paper presents the control algorithm verification process for VCB (Vacuum Circuit Breaker) of Korean High Speed Train. In order to enhance the reliability of the control algorithm, the verification process must be performed. The verification is conducted by comparing the pre-designed control algorithm with the pre-planned scenario by simulation tools such as SDL and MSC. This verification process will be applied to the other control algorithms of various control units of Korean High Speed Train.

  • It is necessary to apply a non-contact high-speed scanning system that can measure in real time in order to prevent the dropping and deformation of the main parts of railway vehicles during high-speed running. Recently, research on a scanning system that detects the deformation state of main parts from a video image taken using a high-performance camera has been actively pursued. In this study, we researched an analysis algorithm of a high-speed scanning system that uses a high-performance camera to monitor the deformation and drop-out state of the main components of the running units equipment in real time.

  • This paper proposes a field-oriented control strategy without speed sensor in overall speed range. At low speed region including zero speed, the electrical saliency which is due to the main flux saturation is used in order to estimate an instantaneous flux position. This electrical saliency can be obtained from the difference of high frequency impedance by the high frequency signal injection. This method enables the stable operation at zero speed or stator frequency even under heavily loaded condition. However, because of the high frequency signal injection the loss and noise in motor increase and the voltage margin is reduced as the motor speed increases. Therefore, this algorithm must be supplemented with the algorithm based on the electrical model of motor, which is conventionally used in the region except the low speed. This paper proposes the combination algorithm between the high frequency signal infection method and the adaptive observer, in which the rotor flux and motor speed can be simultaneously estimated by the adaptive control theory. This combination algorithm enables the stable operation of field-oriented speed control without speed sensor in overall speed range. This is verified by experimental results.

  • In this paper a digital-control algorithm of a power system suing a high-speed PWM for a MRI system is proposed. The MRI system requires an elaborate ladder-shaped current source. And the load of current source is the inductance with resistance. For the inductive load a voltage output of the power system has hi호 frequency components. Therefore this system requires high-speed PWM above 80KHz, A high speed PWM control algorithm which satisfies those conditions is designed. Finally the performance of proposed control algorithm is shown by simulation.

  • The aerodynamic charateristics of high speed train can be improved by well-designing of its fore-body shape. In this paper, as a way of the design a fore-body shape which has optimal aerodynamic charasteristics, 9 models of fore-body shapes are proposed and the change of aerodynamic charateristics is studied through calculations of flow field around high speed train for each fore-body shape. The flow field around high speed trains are calculated using Thin-Layer Navier-Stokes equation and Chimera grid technique. The application of Chimera grid technique to these flow calculations over high speed train which has ground plane under the train makes grid generation easily. As a computaional algorithm, Pulliam and Chaussee's Diagonal algorithm, the modified form of the Beam and Warming's AF scheme which operates on block-tridiagonal matrices, is selected to reduce computaional time. Introducing hole points flag concept to this Diagonal algorithm. a algorithm for Chimera grid is generated. The variational trends of aerodynamic characteristics are studied from the results of flow calculations around high speed trains for 9 fore-body shapes.

  • In this paper, the active monitoring and control system is developed. This system can monitor the status of high the speed spindle in real time during its processing, and can analyze its influence of dimensional accuracy and processing if any, and can control the machining condition to realize the machining system equipped with active monitoring and self-diagnostic features. Machining experiment was performed on 3 materials Al, Brass and S45C in order to derive the relation between active monitoring and control algorithm by the machining load. In addition, we measured surface roughness of processing specimen along with the data change of spindle rotating speed and conveying speed according to variation of machining load. Based on these experiments, we derived relations for each material that can be applied to the control algorithm to allow self control of the rotating speed and conveying speed according to the machining load.

  • In this paper, a speed sensorless algorithm for a high-speed induction motor is proposed. The proposed algorithm simply estimates rotor speed by integrating the deviation between the command current value of a controller and the real current value of the motor. To estimate rotor speed without a speed sensor, a fuzzy speed controller and a neural network speed estimator are applied. Computer simulation and implementation of the proposed system is described.

  • HSPA(High Speed Packet Access)/HSPA+ is a combined 3GPP(Third Generation Partnership Project) standard of HSDPA(High Speed Downlink Packet Access) and HSUPA(High Speed Uplink Packet Access). The standard can provide the high speed multimedia service against the 3GPP release 99 standard. In order to test the 3GPP HSPA/HSPA+ terminal performance, the measurement hardware is required for the evaluate the transmitted signal of HSPA/HSPA+ terminals. Agilent Technologies and Innowireless produce the measurement equipments for HSPA/HSPA+ terminals. Generally speaking, the receiving algorithms in normal modems cannot be used directly to the measurement system due to the lack of the algorithm accuracy. In this paper, we propose the new receiver algorithm for precise measurement of 3GPP HSPA/HSPA+ terminal signal, and implement measurement functionality for performance measurement of the 3GPP HSPA/HSPA+ terminal by using software. The proposed 3GPP HSPA/HSPA+ signal measurement algorithm can be used for the commercial system through code execution speed optimization.

  • This paper suggests a high-speed blurred blob image inspection algorithm. When we inspect some products using high-resolution camera, the detected blob images usually have severe blur. And the blur makes it hard to detect an object. There are many blur-processing algorithms, but most of them have no real-time property for high-speed applications at all. In this paper, an MMX technology based algorithm is suggested. The suggested algorithm was found to be effective to detect the blurred blob images via many simulations and long time real-plant experiments.

  • 본 논문에서는 IIR 필터의 임계 경로를 줄이기 위하여 제한된 Remez exchange 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 Remez exchange 알고리즘과 최소 자승법을 이용하였다. IIR 필터 구현 예제에서 제안된 방법이 속도를 최대 20% 증가시킴을 보였다.
