도시문화와 공동체 의식의 영향 관계 (An Influential Relationship between Urban Culture and Community Spirit)

  • With regard to urban culture this study aims to essential understanding and systematic approach to the culture. The "2012 Seoul Survey" report has been used to find out causality among the related variables. In the first place 'satisfaction of cultural condition' was operationally selected as a dependent variable for regression. For the purpose of controlling the third factors for ceteris paribus effect correlation analysis was previously done between the dependent variable and all other variables respectively, which resulted in two groups of variables: group (1) - 2 variables of very significant correlations(p-value<0.01) and (2) - the other 6 variables of significant correlations(p-value<0.05). Then hierarchical regression was adopted to these 2 groups to analyse statistical significance of independent variables, and multicollinearity(VIF; variance inflation factor). Additionally to OLS robust and bootstrapping regressions were done to confirm the validity of this model specification. At last a regression model specified by group (1) as independent variables(they are 'community spirit caring for women, the disabled, the poor and the old,' 'satisfaction of bicycle riding condition' shows that the variables have statistically significant and substantially strong effect on 'satisfaction of cultural condition.' This finding implies the following understanding; (1) urban festivals are regarded as the main of the urban culture as of now and this results from the low level of today's culture, (2) culture is telling and hearing stories but the influential relationship between urban culture and community spirit on the weak is negative, which says that the cultural perception among citizen is somewhat selfish and far from the essential understanding of the urban culture. In spite of restrictive external validity this finding can be used as a direction for promoting culture and a basis for related policy choice in cities.

산림재적 추정을 위한 계층적 베이지안 분석 (Hierarchical Bayesian analysis for a forest stand volume)

  • 산림경영 계획을 위한 필요한 산림재적을 보다 효율적으로 추정하기 위해서 다양한 연구가 요구되어져 왔는데, 이러한 산림구조에 관한 연구는 주로 현장조사와 위성영상을 이용하여 이루어진다. 현장조사를 통한 연구는 비교적 정확하나 시간과 비용이 많이 들 뿐 아니라 접근의 용이성이 떨어지는 지역이 있기 때문에, 넓은 지역의 조사가 어렵다는 단점이 있다. 최근에는 항공기에서 발사된 레이저 펄스가 반사되어 돌아오는 시간을 측정하여 대상의 3차원 좌표를 얻는 LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) 기술을 활용하여 획득한 정밀한 수치형자료를 이용한 산림의 구조에 관한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 일반적으로 산림재적을 추정하기 위해서 LiDAR자료를 이용한 수고자료와 산림 재적에 대한 회귀모형의 중요성이 점차 높아지는데, 국내의 경우 수목의 종류와 그 분포가 다르기 때문에 회귀모형만으로 재적을 추정하는 데 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 산림의 수고와 흉고직경을 측정하여 재적값을 추정하고 산림의 공간효과를 고려한 계층적 베이지안 분석을 통해 관측되지 않은 전체 산림재적에 대한 추정을 하고자 한다.

산업장 근로자의 건강증진환경, 직무스트레스가 건강관련 삶의 질에 미치는 영향: 생태학적 모델에 기반하여 (Influence of Health Promotion Environment and Job Stress on the Health-Related Quality of Life of Industrial Workers: A Study Based on an Ecological Model)

  • Purpose: This study applies an ecological model to investigate individual and organizational levels to identify factors influencing the HRQOL of industrial employees. Methods: Totally, 133 industrial workers of a vehicle company were enrolled, who understood the purpose and consented to participate in the study. The collected data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe Test and hierarchical regression analysis using the SPSS 20.0 program. Results: Hierarchical regression analysis showed that job Stress(β=-.44, p<.001), and hobbies(β=-.21, p=.013) were the major influencing factors of the Physical Component Summary of HRQOL, which had an additional explanatory power of 11.5%. The influencing factors for the Mental Component Summary of HRQOL were job stress(β=-.43, p<.001), and coronary artery disease(β=.17, p=.034) with an additional explanatory power of 13.5%. Conclusion: Results of this study, reveal that a multidimensional approach based on an ecological model is suitable as a health promotion intervention strategy to improve the HRQOL. We further propose developing a multi-dimensional health promotion program that consider the individual and organizational factors such as job stress, activation of in-house clubs, and assessing and managing of the risk of cerebral and cardiovascular diseases.

디지털융합 가치요소의 시너지와 상황 적합 분석 (Synergy and contingency fit analysis for digital convergence value attributes)

  • 본 논문에서는 IT와 서비스 산업의 디지털융합 모델의 가치 창출요소의 시너지 효과를 이론적으로 정형화하고 실증분석을 통하여 시사점을 도출하였다. 경영전략 분야의 상황적합 이론에 기반 하여 IT융합의 근원적 가치요소를 고정형, 이동형으로 구분하고 이들 가치의 전략적 적합과 서비스 프로세스 제약완화 기여 등을 시너지 효과에 초점을 맞추어 탐색하였다. 본 논문에서 도출된 융합 시너지 연구 모델은 실증분석을 통하여 계층적 회귀분석 방법을 통하여 검증하였으며, 분석 결과 융합 모델의 가치 창출 요소의 유용성은 산업 별로 확연하게 구분되며 혁신에 의한 상대적 이점과 함께 일상생활 습관과의 부합성이 채택의 중요한 영향을 미치는 것이 발견되었다. IPTV 등에 기반 한 고정형 가치와 스마트 폰 등 모바일 기반 응용에 대한 시너지 효과와 프로세스 제약완화 등에 대한 시너지 효과가 제한적으로 나타났으며 이는 이들 가치가 서로 독립적으로 존재하며 융합 산업의 고유 특성과의 조화가 핵심적이라는 시사점이 도출되었다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 IT기반 산업 융합 모델 비즈니스 모델 연구에 유용한 시사점을 제공한다.

Variable selection in Poisson HGLMs using h-likelihoood

  • Selecting relevant variables for a statistical model is very important in regression analysis. Recently, variable selection methods using a penalized likelihood have been widely studied in various regression models. The main advantage of these methods is that they select important variables and estimate the regression coefficients of the covariates, simultaneously. In this paper, we propose a simple procedure based on a penalized h-likelihood (HL) for variable selection in Poisson hierarchical generalized linear models (HGLMs) for correlated count data. For this we consider three penalty functions (LASSO, SCAD and HL), and derive the corresponding variable-selection procedures. The proposed method is illustrated using a practical example.

The relationships of perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, and subjective norms with COVID-19 preventive behaviors: a secondary data analysis comparing adolescents and emerging adults in South Korea

  • Purpose: Based on the health belief model and theory of planned behavior, this study investigated how age group (adolescence and emerging adulthood) moderated the relative effects of perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, and subjective norms on preventive behavior against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Methods: This secondary data analysis utilized data from adolescents (n=272) and emerging adults (n=239). Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was performed to test the moderating effect of age group on the relationships among variables. Results: Higher perceived susceptibility (β=.21, p<.001), perceived severity (β=.14, p=.002), subjective norms (friends) (β=.26, p<.001), subjective norms (parents) (β=.44, p<.001), and subjective norms (schools) (β=.28, p<.001) enhanced COVID-19 preventive behaviors. Moderated regression analysis showed that subjective norms (friends and school) impacted preventive behavior in adolescents more than in emerging adults. Conclusion: Given the need to increase perceived susceptibility and severity among adolescents and emerging adults, these findings provide baseline data for designing effective COVID-19 prevention interventions that consider the developmental characteristics of different age groups. Interventions by health centers at universities can strengthen COVID-19 preventive behavior among emerging adults. As adolescents are influenced by friends, their peer roles must be strengthened to enhance adherence to COVID-19 preventive guidelines.

치과기공사의 조직 내 갈등 및 직무 만족이 이직 의도에 미치는 영향 (The influences of organizational conflict and job satisfaction on the turnover intention of dental technicians)

  • Purpose: This study aimed at exploring the impacts of organizational conflict and job satisfaction on the turnover intention among dental technicians. Methods: This study utilized a descriptive research design. A structured questionnaire was administered to 159 dental technicians. Of the collected questionnaires, data from 127 valid questionnaires were analyzed using t-tests, analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression using the IBM SPSS 20.0 statistical package. Results: A positive correlation was identified between organizational conflict and turnover intention (r=0.46, p<0.001); however, a negative correlation was shown between job satisfaction and turnover intention (r=-0.50, p<0.001). A hierarchical multiple-regression model was employed to analyze working hours, unfair treatment from dentists and dental hygienists, organizational conflict, and job satisfaction, which contributed to providing an explanation to 39% of the turnover intention of dental technicians (F=14.16, p<0.001). Furthermore, organizational conflict (β=0.32, p<0.001), job satisfaction (β=-0.31, p=0.003), and working hours (β=0.21, p=0.010) were all shown to affect turnover intention. Conclusion: The impact of the negative consequences of organizational conflict and working hours on the turnover intention should be considered within core strategies for increasing the turnover periods for dental technicians.

1인 게임방송 시청에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study of Factors Influencing on Watching Personal Game Webcasting)

  • 본 연구는 이용충족이론을 바탕으로 BJ에 대한 동일시 갈망 동기, 오락성 추구 동기, 시간보내기 동기, 정보추구 동기 요인이 1인 게임방송 시청시간에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 1인 게임방송 시청 경험자 395명을 대상으로 위계적 회귀 분석을 진행하였으며 1단계 모형에서는 개인적 특성을, 2단계 모형에서는 미디어 이용 동기 요인을 투입하여 각각 1인 게임방송 시청시간에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 1단계 회귀모형에서 성별과 나이가 시청 시간에 유의미한 결과를 보였으며, 2단계 회귀모형에서는 나이와 동일시 갈망 동기, 오락성 추구 동기가 1인 게임방송 시청시간에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

119 구급대원의 직무스트레스, 소진이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of job stress and burnout on the quality of life among 119 EMTs)

  • Purpose: This study examined the associations of job stress and burnout with the quality of life (QOL) among 119 emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Methods: Using a descriptive correlational design, 260 EMTs working in D City or S City completed the questionnaires. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was conducted to determine the predictors of QOL among 119 EMTs. Results: Overall, there was relatively low job stress among 119 EMTs. There were significant differences in job stress and burnout by general characteristics, especially regarding those of gender, service career, job rank, and self-reported health. In a hierarchical multiple regression, general characteristics explained 29% of QOL (Model I, F=16.369, p<.001). The explanatory power for QOL increased to 49% upon adding job stress (Model II, F=18.737, p<.001), and 59% upon adding burnout (Model III, F=22.621, p<.001). In the last model, self-reported health (${\beta}=.316$, p<.001), job demand (${\beta}=-.130$, p=.009), job insecurity (${\beta}=-.136$, p=.010), lack of reward (${\beta}=-.189$, p=.001), emotional exhaustion (${\beta}=-.196$, p=.004) and lack of personal accomplishment (${\beta}=-.334$, p<.001) were significant predictors of QOL among 119 EMTs. Conclusion: Based on the results, it is necessary to assess and manage job stress and burnout systematically among EMTs, and to develop health improvement programs for better QOL.

고위험 학대피해 경험 청소년의 자아탄력성에 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Ego-resilience in Adolescents Suffering from High-risk of Abuse)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors that influence ego-resilience among adolescents who have experienced abuse by parents in South Korea. Methods: This correlational study used the 4th year cross-sectional data of the seventh-grade middle school students who participated in the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) in fourth grade. Data analysis was performed by using SPSS/WIN 23.0 program, which included descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlations coefficient, and hierarchical regression. Results: The results of the hierarchical regression of model 5 revealed that the quality of peer relations played the most significant role in predicting ego-resilience of abused adolescents, followed by self-identity. Also, self-esteem, the quality of teacher-student relationships, excessive expectations from parents, and community awareness had a significant impact on the variance of self-resilience in abused adolescents. This regression model explained 42% of the variance. Conclusion: This study showed that ego-resilience, an asset and resource to help adolescents overcome adverse effects of abuse, was influenced by social environment as well as individual factors. In addition, social support from peers and teachers had greater influence on ego-resilience than support from family members. Thus, the factors identified in this study need to be considered in programs designed to improve ego-resilience as well as in policies for abused adolescents.
