That herb medicine is a juice of vegetable drunken with herb medicine of So-gal(消渴). Milk(牛乳汁), human milk(人乳汁), gam-ja-jup(甘蔗汁), wo-jul-jup(藕節汁), li-jup(梨汁), sang-gang-jup(生薑汁) etc. is that. In that juices, Milk(牛乳汁), human milk(人乳汁), gam-ja-jup(甘蔗汁), wo-jul-jup(藕節汁), li-jup(梨汁) have sweety tastes, and cold nature. So they cure So-gal(消渴) come from dry and hot nature. Sang-gang-jup(生薑汁) is different with others in the taste and nature that sweety and hot taste and hot nature. Sang-gang-jup(生薑汁) cure the sequela of So-gal(消渴) by his hot nature. We think In Diabetes Mellitus, that juice can be used by drink for the treatment of diet because of simility between So-gal(消渴) and DM.

  • Erectile dysfunction is defined as the inability to attain and maintain penile rigidity sufficient to allow sexual intercourse. Although erectile dysfunction is usually considered a benign disorder, it has a dramatic impact on quality of life of the patients as well as their sexual partners. And it is common in men between the age of 40 and 70 years, and its incidence increases with age. The prevalence is reported to occupy 10% at the age of 40 years, 20% in 50s, 30% in 60s and 50% at the age of 70 years, and is more prevalent as stress in modern life and interest onsexual behavior increase. This article has aims to investigate and summarize the current trend of treatment for erectiledysfunction so as to suggest the effective and available way to treat the disease. In oriental medicine, erectile dysfunction has been treated with herb medicine and acupuncture with good results. Some of herb drugs have the substances which induce penile erection. So it should be investigated on the neurotransmitter or endothelial mediator which can be included in herb drugs. The acupuncture therapy stimulates the erectile nerves and is reported to be effective for erectile dysfunction. And suppository, locus injection therapy and topical agent are found to be effective as well as stellate ganglion block and biofeedback treatment. So the study on the approach and application of these treatments on erectile dysfunction would be necessary.

  • Objective: Few data were available on glycemic control at the early prediabetic stage, though it is the important stage to prevent diabetes mellitus. The purpose of this research was to examine the glycemic control effects of herb medicine treatment (DA-9802) in prediabetic stage patients Methods: In this randomized, single blind, placebo-controlled study, we compared Sanyak extract (DA-9802) with placebo for the treatment of glycemic control effects in prediabetic stage patients. 45 volunteers who satisfied the requirements were enrolled in the study. They took Sanyak extract (DA-9802) or placebo treatment three times a day for 8 weeks. Blood sugar, Total Symptom Score (TSS) and blood serum were measured at weeks 0, 4, and 8. Results: In the DA-9802 group, fasting blood sugar changes between before 8 weeks significantly decreased. Fasting blood sugar, fasting blood sugar gaps between before and after treatment for 8 weeks, insulin changes and C-peptide significantly decreased at 8 weeks compared with those of the placebo group. Conclusion: Herb medicine treatment (DA-9802) is effective in glycemic control on prediabetic stage.

  • Anti-nociceptive and anti-inflammatory effects of Clematidis Radix (CR)-distillates were investigated in three different pain animal models. Highly purified distillate of CR was injected to Zusanli (ST36) acupoint, called CR herb-acupuncture in the Korean traditional medicine. In tail flick latency test, the CR herb-acupuncture treatment did not show a significant effect of relieving acute phasic pain. To investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of CR herb-acupuncture, inflammatory pain was induced by subcutaneous injection of formalin to the plantar tissue or intra-articular injection of carrageenan to the tibio-tarsal joint in the rats. And the medicinal effect of CR herb-acupuncture was evaluated by analyzing pain behavior such as licking or biting behavior, or by measuring weight distribution ratio between two foot and ankle circumference. In the rat formalin test, the analgesic effect of CR herb-acupuncture was more pronounced in the late phase (for 20 min after the early phase) than in the early phase (for the first 10 min post formalin injection). It also significantly alleviated the carrageenan-induced monoarthritis, in terms of weight distribution ratio and ankle edema. These results revealed that CR herb-acupuncture was effective to treat the inflammatory pain and could be used as an analgesic treatment with an antiinflammatory effect.

  • Objectives The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of herb medication based on 'Go-bang' treatment, 'Huse-bang' treatment for patients with acute neck pain caused by traffic accidents. Methods We studied 40 patients with acute neck pain after traffic accidents who had admitted to Department of Korean Medicine Rehabilitation, College of Korean Medicine, Daejeon University from November 25, 2018 to November 25, 2019. 20 patients had received Herb Medication Based on 'Go-bang' and 20 patients had received herb medication based on 'Huse-bang' three times a day. The study was conducted as a retrospective observation study which analyze the patient's medical records. We used visual analogue scale (VAS) to evaluate pain reduction and neck disability index (NDI) to evaluate function improvement twice (hospitalization day and 5 days later). Statistical analysis was performed using the IBM SPSS statistics 25 program. Result The VAS scores, NDI scores decreased statistically significantly after treatment in all patients. Both 'Go-bang' and 'Huse-bang'groups showed a statistically significant VAS reduction and improvement of NDI on the fifth day of hospitalization. In the 'Huse-bang' group, there was a statistically significant improvement of NDI than in the 'Go-bang' group. Conclusion We found that both types of herbal-medication were significantly effective on acute neck pain and neck disability after traffic accident. Further study is needed about the comparison of effectiveness between Go-bang' and 'Huse-bang'groups.

While, Oriental medicine cures the Large bowel cancer by Herb-drugs, acupuncture, moxa and et al. With just one way of treating Large bowel cancer can't be effective remedy. Because each medicine has a strength and weakness, it is effective treatment when two medicine combines and supplement each other. We got the following result about a trend of oriental and western combination treatment for Large bowel cancer through studding records. 1. In Large bowel cancer, colon cancer is referred hematochezia(腸風下血), rectal cancer is refereed enterotoxin(腸毒), and anal cancer is accumulation of pathogens in yin(結陰). 2. The western medicine treats Large bowel cancer patient with surgery first. They need on assembly treatment such as chemical, radiation and immune treatment. In oriental medicine, they treats Large bowel cancer patients with differentiation of symptom and signs and treatment(辨證施治) for example, insufficiency of spleen and stomach(脾胃虛弱), collapse of the spleen-ql(脾氣下陷), stagnation of blood stasis and toxic agent(瘀毒內結), reinforcing both qi and blood(脾血下陷), stagnation of damp-phlegm(痰濕凝結) and cure for them by acupuncture and moxa too. 3. In combination with oriental and western medical treatment princple of Large bowel cancer by each stage is as follows. First stage is cured with radical surgery and herb-drugs without chemotherapy. The intermediate and terminal stage patients is used radiation before surgery, or after palliative surgery cour with chemotherapy, radiation and Herb-drugs. In terminal stage patients, unable for surgery, is used combination between chemotherapy, palliative radiation and Herb-drugs. 4. After radiation surgery, the terminal stage patients who have extensively lymph node metastasis or local contraindication is able to undergo combination of Herb-durgs and chemotherapy. 5. The cure-effect with oriental and western medicine combination treatment was better than that just with oriental or western medical treatment. 6.
