BIM data mapping based on M-BDL for BIM-BEMS connection (BIM-BEMS 연계를 위한 M-BDL 기반 BIM 데이터 맵핑)

  • This study proposes MF (Model Filter)-based M-BDL (MF-based BIM Data Linkage), which is a model filter-based data mapping method for BIM (Building Information Modeling)-BEMS linkage. Recently, BEMS (Building Energy Management System) is actively utilizing 3D spatial information. This allows the user to intuitively manage the facility energy linked to spatial information. To use BIM data in energy management systems, it is essential to link BEMS with BIM data only in terms of the user requirements. On the other hand, if the BIM is a rich dataset and is linked as it is, the user will need to manage the unnecessary information. By mapping only the data required for BEMS in heavy BIM data through M-BDL, the BIM data can be lightened and the amount of data required for maintenance can be reduced. This technology proposes a mapping method that can link the BIM data with the filtered BIM data.

Development of Robot Simulator for Palletizing Operation Management S/W and Fast Algorithm for 'PLP' (PLP 를 위한 Fast Algorithm 과 팔레타이징 작업 제어 S/W 를 위한 로봇 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • Palletizing is necessary to promote the efficiency of storage and shipping tasks. These are, however some of the most monotonous, heavy and laborious tasks in the factory. Therefore many types of robot palletizing systems have been developed, but many robot motion commands still depend on the teaching pendent. That is, an operator inputs the motion command lines one by one. It is very troublesome, and most of all, the user must know how to type the code. That is why we propose a new GUI (Graphic User Interface) Palletizing System. To cope with this issue, we proposed a 'PLP' (Pallet Loading Problem) algorithm, Fast Algorithm and realize 3D auto-patterning visualization interface. Finally, we propose the robot palletizing simulator. Internally, the schematic of this simulator is as follows. First, an user inputs the physical information of object. Second, simulator calculates the optimal pattern for the object and visualizes the result. Finally, the calculated position data of object is passed to the robot simulator. To develop the robot simulator, we use an articulated robot, and analyze the kinematics and dynamics. Especially, All problem including thousands of boxes were completely calculated in less than 1 second and resulted in optimal solutions by the Fast Algorithm.

A Co-Development Environment for Visual Programs (시각 프로그램을 위한 공동 개발 환경)

  • Visual programs consist of user interfaces and process logics. Because most visual IDEs(Integrated Development Environment) are utilized by only one developer, many developers can't cooperate simultaneously in one large-scaled visual Program to promote the development efficiency. This paper suggests a co-development environment for visual programs through which developers can cooperate with each other in the type of distribution. Developers can maintain the coincidence and the confidence of cooperation through a communication window and a job controller to process the Priority of the events that developers make in co-development work. Especially in large-sealed visual Program, the suggested environment reduces the burden that developer takes about the heavy development work, and many developers can divide and take the complex and large program modules according to their ability. We hope that the suggested environment can improve the development productivity and effectivity because it can reduce the time and effort for developing user interfaces in visual programs.

Efficient and Secure User Authentication and Key Agreement In SIP Networks (효율적이고 안전한 SIP 사용자 인증 및 키 교환)

  • This paper proposes an efficient and secure user authentication and key agreement scheme instead of the HTTP digest and TLS between the SIP UA and server. Although a number of security schemes for authentication and key exchange in SIP network are proposed, they still suffer from heavy computation overhead on the UA's side. The proposed scheme uses the HTIP Digest authentication and employs the Diffie-Hellman algorithm to protect user password against dictionary attacks. For a resource-constrained SIP UA, the proposed scheme delegates cryptographically computational operations like an exponentiation operation to the SIP server so that it is more efficient than the existing schemes in terms of energy consumption on the UA. Furthermore, it allows the proposed scheme to be easily applied to the deployed SIP networks since it does not require major modification to the signaling path associated with current SIP standard.

  • Recently, switchboards for MV/LV distribution customers have been united and digitalized rapidly. This paper proposes the effective information visualization method for the data measured from cubicle switchboards for MV/LV distribution customers. We developed the algorithm that analyzes abundant data measured by switchboards and displays them to overall users, such as fire information index, power condition index, switchboard safety index, and power diminution index. Using a touch screen made users to operate it easily. User interface was also improved by taking graphic visualization. We guess the information visualization method suggested in this paper shows the new direction that heavy electrical equipments including switchboards are going to develop in the future.

  • Socket-outlets and plugs are essential devices that supply electric power into user appliances. During plug-out operation of an engaged plug from the socket-outlet, the consistent arc between the plug and the socket-outlet could develop into heavy fires in DC systems but only a small spark in AC systems. This paper proposes a pre-/post-electrode method to prevent plugs and socket-outlets from melting by sustaining arc energy. To implement the proposed pre-/post-electrodes, an experimental plug is manufactured with two electrodes, in which a post resistance Rs is connected in between. This paper investigates the function of the post resistance Rs, in which the best value of the post resistance Rs is obtained through simulation and experiment.

  • Unbalance between user requirements and insufficient network resources makes a congestion. In the future since the communication networks will have very heavy traffic congestion will be more serious. The ATM networks was recommended to support the B-ISDN service for the future multimedia communication. In thie sense of congestion avoidance and recovery the ABR service category in ATM networks allows the feedback flow control mechanism to dynamically allocate the idle bandwidth of the network to users fairly and to control the network congestion rapidly In this paper we introduce a congestion control scheme using systematical approach to confirm robust stability with respect to unknown round trip delay for the network which has both unicast and multicast connections.

Implementation of Background Scene in the Virtual Reality Ship Simulator (가상현실 선박 시뮬레이터의 배경 구현)

  • The paper describes creation methods of background scenes to implement realistic virtual environments in the VRSS (Virtual Reality Ship Simulator). VRSS is next-generation system constructed with virtual tools in a virtual space. Thus, it could have many benefits compared to conventional ship simulators composed with heavy bridge mock-up system and wide visual presentations. In this work, we developed effective 3D object modeling techniques, and constructed virtual harbor scene by using 3D-Webmaster authoring tool. The virtual harbor was built with object-oriented 3D objects modeled to interact with user's action. With the immersion-type VR system, we created virtual harbor environments in a virtual space, and discussed on the naturalness of the scene with test results of SDMPA (Semantic Differential Method for Psychophysical Assessment) by 10 subjects. As the results of subject assessment, all of the participants could felt natural-like harbor. Therefore, we found that the proposed creation methods and procedures of background scene are enabling to fit to the full mission VRSS construction.

The Development of the Knowldege-Based Electric Fault Diagnosis and Maintenance System for Overhead Cranes (지식베이스를 이용한 천정크레인의 전기고장 진단 및 처방 시스템 개발)

  • Overhead cranes which carry heavy items in construction or production areas consist of structure and electric modules. More than 80% of breakdowns bring out of the electric module. As operators do not know all about cranes, it sometimes takes much time to repair the cranes. In order to resolve this problem, the expert system which can diagnose causes of faults and give instructions for repair to operators, has been developed. The scope of the paper is limited to the electric module. First of all, analyzing symptoms and causes, we have developed a rule base with the expert system shell, EXSYS. Furthermore, for the facility maintenance including repair instructions against the causes, the instruction data base was developed with FOXPRO. On the other hand, for the help of user's understanding the fault causes, the graphic animation module which shows malfunctioning component ports or motions in 3D was developed with the graphic software, TOPAS VGA.

Depth estimation and View Synthesis using Haze Information (실안개를 이용한 단일 영상으로부터의 깊이정보 획득 및 뷰 생성 알고리듬)

  • Previous approaches to the 2D to 3D conversion problem require heavy computation or considerable amount of user input. In this paper, we propose a rather simple method in estimating the depth map from a single image using a monocular depth cue: haze. Using the haze imaging model, we obtain the distance information and estimate a reliable depth map from a single scenery image. Using the depth map, we also suggest an algorithm that converts the single image to 3D stereoscopic images. We determine a disparity value for each pixel from the original 'left' image and generate a corresponding 'right' image. Results show that the algorithm gives well refined depth maps despite the simplicity of the approach.
