The purpose of this study was to estimate industrial workers' health habits by sex. Data was collected from 900 workers at 57 industries in Inchon. The research has been carried out through self-administered questionnaires and from the analysis of health examination records. The results were as follows: 1. The most prevalent age group of women were 20-30 years age group(44.3%) and of men were 30-40 years one(45.6%). As for the marital status, 48.1% of women were single and as were 30% of men. High school graduates were over 62.2% of both sex, 32.5% of the men and 58.0% of the women worked between 1 and 5 years. 2. As far as the health habits, women practiced better than men in smoking, drinking and breakfast habits while men practiced better than women in exercise, sleeping and snack habits(p<0.001). 3. According to the odds ratio of health habits by sex, gender was related to health practices in the present study, men had worse health habits than women by 139.83 times in smoking, by 6.97 times in drinking consumption(p<0.001). And as for eating regular breakfast habits, women had better health habits than men by 2.53 times(p<0.001). 4. Good health practice scores(5-7) were 25.0% in women and 12.6% in men and those had bad health practice (0-4) were 75.0% in women and 87.5% in men(p<0.001). 5. According to the results of multiple logistic regression to examine the difference of health habits by sex, men had worse health habit than women by 114.5 times in smoking, by 3.1 times in alcohol consumption more than once per week in control of the other factors. Women had better health habits than men by 4.5 times in regular breakfast habits. 6. Health habits had a statistically significant association with good health status among men, but the relationship was nonsignificant in the women. According to the odds ratio, men who had bad health habits were poorer health status than who had good health habits by 1.95 times(p<0.05).
Objectives: In this study 54,848 people were selected as participants to investigate the relationship between oral health factors and eating habits education experiences of adolescents using raw data from the 17th (2021) online survey on adolescent health behavior. Methods: Data were collected using the IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0 statistical program was used. A multi-sample chi-square test was performed on the dietary education experience according to the general characteristics of the subjects. Logistic regression analysis was performed on factors affecting the eating habits education experience. Results: Eating breakfast and consuming fruits was more frequent among eating habits (p<0.001). Regarding factors influencing dietary habits education, in the case of eating habits education experience, sealant was 1.23 times higher (p<0.001), and tingling & throbbing were 0.93 times lower (p<0.01). Conclusions: Educating adolescents on correct eating habits is related to oral health, hence a school based oral health education program related to eating habits is necessary for adolescents.
The present study was designed to investigate health-related life habits, food preference, body composition for proper dietary habits, health promotion of communities in Incheon area. The effects of personal characteristics and health-related life habits such as gender, age, having breakfast, smoking, drinking, and exercise were analyzed using a surveying. 961 community subjects (262 males and 699 females) were investigated using a questionnaire and Inbody. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, chi squared test, and one-way ANOVA (analysis of variation) with SPSS/WIN 21.0. The result of gender distribution showed there were 262 males and 699 females, and with respect to the effect of gender on health-related life habits, smoking, drinking, and exercise showed significant differences (p < 0.05), whereas having breakfast was not significantly difference (p>0.05). Therefore, the present provide evidence of a relationship between health-related life habits and gender. Regarding the effect of BMI on health-related life habits, exercise showed significant differences (p < 0.05), whereas smoking, drinking, and having breakfast were not significantly difference (p>0.05). Thus, the present study also provides evidence of a relationship between health-related life habits and BMI. Our analysis shows that food preference and body composition were significant different from health-related life habits such as smoking, drinking, exercise, and having breakfast (p < 0.05). The objective of this study is to identify the relationship of dietary habits and health habits with dental caries subjective symptoms and to present data on nutritional education related to oral health. The subjects of this study are 334 teachers at pre-schools. The subjects of the study were selected using the convenience sampling method. Surveys were taken with the self-entry questionnaire method. It was found that dental caries subjective symptoms were higher among study subjects who ate appetizers frequently through the day, consumed more milk and other dairies and sugars, drank alcohol more, did less exercise, smoked, and had less sleep time. Systematic diet control and nutritional education must be strengthened to form proper dietary habits and health habits for preventing dental caries.

Purpose: This study aims to assess university freshmen's concern of and satisfaction with their health and body and to analyze this in relation to their health habits, thereby aiding university students in forming sound health habits. Method: The subjects of this study were 338 freshmen at A University, located in B City. The questionnaire had 34 questions and the collected data was analyzed with t-test, $x^2$-test, and multiple regressions. Result: The average points of the subjects' health habits were 6.01 for male and 5.65 for female, showing a median range. Concern about health (male 13.63 points, female 13.10 points) and satisfaction with their own body (male 8.26 points, female 7.71 points) showed no significant difference between males and females. Females had more concern about their body (p=.001), and males' satisfaction with health was higher than females', which was statistically significant (p=.0.41). As for factors that have an effect on health habits, male students had health concerns ($\beta$=.395), health satisfaction ($\beta$=.212), and body concerns ($\beta$=-.209), and female students had health concerns ($\beta$=.317) and health satisfaction ($\beta$=.139). Conclusion: University freshmen are likely to have diverse undesirable health habits and therefore need positive improvement in their health habits.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare eating habits and parenting about eating habits of the elementary schoolers in two regions, Seoul and Gangwon-do, in order to understand regional differences. Methods: The respondents of this study included 365 pairs of children and their mothers (150 pairs from Seoul and 213 pairs from Gangwon-do). Data was collected using a structured questionnaire from July to August, 2013. Results: Perceived body type, weight control, and eating habits were significantly different in two regions. Children's eating habits were significantly different by their perception of health status and body type. Their mother's parenting attitude toward eating habits was significantly different by children's weight control and mother's and children's perception of body type. Parenting attitude toward eating habits was not different between two regions by their mothers. eating habits and parenting attitude toward eating habits were significantly correlated. Conclusions: Health provider should consider regional difference when designing health promotion program for elementary students. Especially, when practicing eating habits related program, parents should be participated from the planning stage and provided with the information of the proper body image and weight control.
Purpose: This study was designed to compare health habit and self-rated health status among early adulthood women in 1995, 2001, and 2007. Also, it was performed to determine correlations between health habits and self-rated health status. Methods: This research was investigated to identify a transition of health habits and self-rated health status. Participants who agreed to participate in the study were 18~25years old college women. Data was collected from 380 college students in 1995, 196 college students 2001, and 411 college students in 2007. Health habit assessment questionnaire was developed by authors. The reliability of the questionnaire were Cronbach $\alpha$=.87. Cronbach $\alpha$=.85, Cronbach $\alpha$=.90. The visual analogue scale which had 100 self-rating scores was used. All statistical analyses were used the Statistical Package for Social Sciences for Windows, Statistical analyses included descriptive statistics, Levene's test, repeated measure ANOVA, Brown-Forsythe test, Turkey test, Games-Howell test, and Pearson correlation coefficient test. Results: Health habit level, and self-rated heath status were significantly increased over time after 1995. Health habits was correlated with self-rated health status. Conclusion: Health habits and self-rated health status were influenced by health environments. Health practitioner can use perceived health status to access health habits.
Purpose: To understand the dietary habits and factors influencing the dietary habits in adults of an urban community. Method: The data were collected via questionnaires that investigated dietary habits, health behaviors, health-related factors, and general characteristics. A total of 302 subjects were selected from those who had visited an urban public center over a 2-week period. The data of 294 subjects were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression, after 8 questionnaire were excluded due to incomplete data. Results: The degree of dietary habits was in the middle range. The most positive dietary habit was 'intake fibers from vegetables, fruits, and cereals', followed by 'not enjoy salty food and salt' and 'eating breakfast everyday'. The significant predictors influencing dietary habits were age, present smoking behavior, perceived health status, and drinking frequency, and these variables accounted for 27.3% of the variance in the dietary habits score. Conclusion: Health care providers should focus on health promotion planning regarding dietary habits and other health-related behaviors in combination and use integrated strategies regarding the factors that influence dietary habits and other health-related behaviors.
Purpose: This study aims to present practical data available for the effective health management and improvement for the dental technicians by exploring the interrelationships between general characteristics of dental technicians and seven health related habits like drinking, smoking, breakfast, and snacks among the others(alameda 7). Methods: Out of the random selection of the registered dental offices of Dental Technicians Association of Korea, 2,000 working dental technicians were asked to fill out the questionnaire from January 19 to April 30, 2009. We collected the 1,502 sheets of the questionnaire and took frequency analysis, crosstabulation, t-test, and analysis of variance using SPSS Win 12.0 program. Results: Among the seven health related habits, 54.9% of the subject answered 'never do exercise' in the question of exercise habits, which is the most problematic of all. Hours of sleep and BMI were found to be quite low. Of the general characteristics, sex proved statistically significant to all the seven habits(p<.001). Marital status, job title, and health check-up showed statistical significance in six items among the seven habits. Age, monthly income, job position showed statistical meanings in five items among the seven habits. The frequency of break showed statistical significance in four items among the seven habits. Working environment showed statistical significance only in the item of hours of sleep among the seven habits(p<.05). Conclusion: This study proved that it is vital to educate the dental technicians to learn the right habits for enhancing their health and quality of life and motivate them to practice those habits.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of green dietary life recognition and low-carbon green life practice on health-related dietary habits in high school students. The subjects were 367 high school students in the Incheon area. This cross-sectional survey was conducted using a questionnaire, and data were analyzed with the SPSS 20.0 program. According to the findings, green dietary life recognition were categorized into two sub-factors: 'Eco-friendly traditional dietary life', and 'Life of consideration and thanks'. Low-carbon green life practice was 'Low-carbon green life', and health-related dietary habits were categorized into four sub-factors: 'Vegetables-oriented traditional dietary habits', 'Balanced dietary habits', 'Life practice for health', and 'Various cereals intake'. Green dietary life recognition showed a significantly positive relationship with all sub-factors of health-related dietary habits (p<0.05), whereas 'Eco-friendly traditional dietary life' had no significant effect on 'Balanced dietary habits'. Low-carbon green life practice showed a significantly positive relationship with all sub-factors of health-related dietary habits (p<0.01). Students who received green growth education showed significantly higher health-related dietary habits than those who did not (p<0.01). Girls showed significantly higher green dietary life recognitions and low-carbon green life practice than boys (p<0.01). Therefore, more green dietary life and low-carbon green life education programs targeting students are need. Voluntary activities, along with green dietary life and low-carbon green life education will help students improve their health-related dietary habits.
