부산 일부지역 보건계열과 비보건계열 대학생의 성별에 따른 구강보건행태와 구강보건교육에 대한 견해 (The Research on Oral Health Behavior and Oral Health Education according to Gender of Health and Non-health Related College Students in Some Areas of Busan)

  • 본 연구는 보건계열과 비보건계열 대학생의 성별에 따른 구강보건행태와 구강보건교육에 대한 견해를 알아 보고자 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 구강보건행태 중 학교내에서 칫솔질, 전문가 구강보건교육 경험 보건계열에서 많았다. 구강보건관련 정보를 얻는 경로는 남학생은 보건계열, 비보건계열 모두 TV, 라디오 등 대중매체가 가장 높았고, 여학생은 보건계열에서 TV, 라디오 등 대중매체, 비보건계열은 치과 병(의)원에서가 가장 높았으며, 구강보건교육 필요는 남학생 중 보건계열은 76.4%, 비보건계열은 48.3%, 여학생은 보건계열은 80.3%, 비보건계열은 60.4%이었다. 구강보건교육 참여는 남학생 중 보건계열은 81.9%., 비보건계열은 68.1%, 여학생 중 보건계열은 84.8%, 비보건계열은 73.3%이었다. 선호하는 구강보건교육방법은 보건계열에서 칫솔질 시행 등 체험교육, 비보건계열은 치과의사 또는 치과위생사의 강의가 가장 높았다. 선호하는 구강보건교육 장소는 학교 내가 가장 높았다. 본 연구결과를 통하여 대학생의 전공과 성별에 따라 적절한 구강보건교육의 프로그램을 개발 및 보급하여 대학교 내 구강보건교육을 통하여 구강건강에 대한 올바른 구강보건지식과 태도 및 행동을 형성하도록 하는 것이 필요할 것으로 사료되었다.

대학생들의 사회적 지지와 건강상태, 대학생활 적응 및 학업성취도와의 관계 (The Relationship between Social Support, Health Status, College Adjustment and Academic Achievement in College Students)

  • Objectives: This study intends to understand the difference of social support levels and the relationship between social support the health status, college adjustment and academic achievement in the college student. Methods: Data were obtained from self-administered questionnaire of 416 college student. We measured the demographic characteristics, social support (tangible support, appraisal support, belonging support, self-esteem support), health status (36-item short-form health survey(SF-36), center for epidemiologic studies-depression(CES-D), perceived stress scale(PSS)), student adaptation to college questionnaire(SACQ), average grades point. Chi-square test, t-test, ANOVA test, pearson correlation analysis were used for analysis factors relation of the social support of the college students. Results: In considering the degree of social support by the demographic characteristics in the college students, the social support was better for the female college students. In considering the relation between social support and health status, the students who get better social support, were good in health depression and perceived stress status. When they got better social support their college adjustment and academic achievement were good. The result was statistically significant. Conclusions: Social support for students has great influence on health, college adjustment and academic achievement of students. Psychological aspects of students should be included in the strategy of social support for students.

간호계열과 비간호계열 여대생의 자기효능감, 우울 및 건강증진행위 (Self-efficacy, Depression and Health Promotion Behaviors of Nursing and Non-nursing Female College Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the self-efficacy, depression, and health promotion behaviors of nursing and non-nursing female college students, and to develop a program to improve the health promotion behaviors of female college students. Methods: One hundred sixty-six females (84 nursing, 82 non-nursing) college students participated in the study. Data collection was conducted between November 20 and December 8, 2017. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$ test, ANCOVA, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression analysis with the SPSS/WIN 22.0. Results: The results of health promotion behaviors of the nursing college students were higher than non-nursing college students (F=7.14, p=.008). Both nursing and non-nursing college students showed a positive correlation between health promotion behaviors and self-efficacy, and there was a negative correlation between health promotion behaviors and depression. Self-efficacy was the most influential factor in health promotion behaviors for both nursing and non-nursing female college students. Conclusion: In order to improve the health promotion behaviors of female college students, it is necessary to educate individuals to help them improve their self-efficacy and be able to maintain healthy lifestyles by perceiving and managing their own health conditions.

대학생의 통제감, 사회비교추구성향 및 자기효능감이 건강행위에 미치는 영향 (The Relationship between Self-control Behavior, Social Comparison Attitude, Self-efficacy and Health Promotion Activities of College Students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the relationship between self-control behavior, social comparison attitude, self-efficacy and health promotion activities of college students who had health related majors (nursing, dental hygiene, health administration). Methods: The subjects consisted of 413 college students. Data were collected by self reported questionnaires that were designed to evaluate self-control behavior, social attitudes, self-efficacy and health promotion lifestyle (HPLP). Data were analyzed using the SPSS/PC win 14.0 program. Results: Upward & parallel comparison, self-efficacy and parents income were positively correlated with health promotion activities by college students. The most significant predictors of health promotion activities for college students were self-efficacy and self-control behavior. Conclusion: Health promotion activities for college students are influenced by self-efficacy, self-control behavior, and upward comparison. In conclusion, to increase the health promotion activities of college students, methods designed to increase self-efficacy should be prepared while considering the self-control behavior and comparative propensity towards others.

Studies on Self-Perceived Health and Appearance, Health-Related Lifestyles and Dietary Behaviors of Korean College Students Attending Web Class

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate self-perception and practices of health and appearance, health-related lifestyles and dietary behaviors of college students(137 male, 115 female) attending web class via the Internet. This cross-sectional survey was conducted by a self-administered questionnaire and data was analyzed by SPSS program. The average height, weight and BMI of the male and female college students were 174.4cm, 67.8kg, 22.3kg/㎡ and 162.3cm, 52.1kg, 19.8kg/㎡, respectively. Male collage students perceived their health statuses significantly better compared to female students. As for self-evaluation of anemia, female college students perceived significantly more anemia symptoms compared to male college students. Female college students perceived their body image to be obese compared to male college students. Underweight college students perceived significantly less healthy statuses, more anemia symptoms, and worse hair conditions compared to other college students. The rate of male students who exercise was significantly higher compared to that of female students. Male students reported significantly more smoking and drinking of alcohol compared to female students. The rate of female college students skipping meals was significantly higher than that of male college students. Frequency of eating out in female college students was significantly higher compared to that in male students. These results may provide some basic information in developing a nutrition education program for Korean college students using Internet.

간호보건계열 대학생의 건강 관련요인, 영양지식 및 식생활 태도 (Health-related Factors, Nutrition Knowledge and Dietary Habits among Nursing and Allied Health College Students)

  • Purpose: This study compares the differences in health-related factors, nutrition knowledge and dietary habits between nursing and allied health college students. Methods: Nursing students(n=499) and allied health college students(n=402) were surveyed on their health-related factors, nutrition knowledge and dietary habits. Data were collected from two universities in A city, Korea. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, $x^2$ distribution and t-test, $x^2$-test and Pearson correlation coefficient using SPSS 21.0. Results: The level of nutrition knowledge was higher among nursing students than students majoring in other fields. Scores regarding dietary habits were not significantly different between nursing students and other students. Conclusion: Nutritional education for college students is needed in order to improve their health. Nutritional education programs should be tailored to meet various needs of these students.

전문대학생 정신건강의 영향 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on Effectiveness Factors for Mental Health : Focus on College Students)

  • Objective : The objective of this study is to analyze various factors of how mental health, self esteem, and stress affect health living conditions aimed at college students who have a low level of self-awareness. This study can provide college students the vitality lifestyle by developing and applying customized healthy living program. Furthermore, it can benefit preventing disease and improving health condition. Method : This study is aimed at college students in Daegu. The research subjects' distributions consist of male of 138 and female of 144, which totaled 282. The collected data was analyzed by SPSS 18.0, statistical program.4 Results : The result of the study indicated that the main factors that affect self esteem, stress, and mental health condition are allowance and part time jobs. It shows that health characteristic doesn't have relationship with self esteem. However, stress are mental health have a close relationship with drinking, health conditions, sleeping hours, and exercise. Conclusion : College Students should manage and lead healthy living style as a role model of family and society; as a result, healthy living style in the college becomes very important time period in the life time. Therefore, college students need to improve self esteem and reduce stress in order to benefit their mental health. College faculty members also need to put an effort on educational health programs regarding the practice of healthy life such as campaign for antismoking, moderating in drink, and exercising.

The experimental study on the influence of chamber music teaching on the mental health of college students in music universities

  • Purpose of the study To study the effects of teaching chamber music courses on the mental health of college students in music schools. The key to the results is as follows. There was a significant difference in the total level of mental health between the experimental and control classes after the experiment. The total level of mental health of male and female college students in the experimental class had significant differences after the experiment, respectively. There was no significant difference in the ten factors of scl-90 in the control class before and after the experiment, while there was a significant difference. in the ten factors of scl-90 in the experimental class before and after the experiment. The experimental teaching of chamber music courses improves the mental health level of female college students better than male college students. We have come to understand Teaching chamber music courses can significantly improve the mental health of college students in music schools.

미국 대학생의 건강수준, 건강행동 및 건강관련요인에 관한 변화 추이 분석 (An Analysis on the Change of Health Status, Health Behavior, and Influencing Factors Among American College and University Students)

  • Objectives: Analysis and understanding on the health trend of college and university students are paramount to creating healthy campus communities. We evaluated the change of health status, health behavior, and influencing factors among them in the last ten years. Methods: Using the results of the ACHA-National College Health Assessment from 2000 to 2009, we reanalyzed the trend of health condition, health behavior, and health risk factors in linear regression model. Results: In general health of college and university students, major health problem were allergy problems, back pain, and sinus infection. Academic impacts were stress, sleep difficulties, cold/flu, concern for troubled friend or family member, relationship difficulty, and internet use or computer games. Although regular exercise was decreasing among them, it were more likely to have never smoking, no sexual partner, and eating of fruits/vegetables as time passed (p<0.05, p<0.01). Obesity and sleeping difficulty were increasing, while it were less likely to have feeling very sad, feeling hopelessness, and considering attempting suicide (p<0.05, p<0.01). Conclusion: These data expand the understanding of the health needs and capacities among young adults. For Korean college and university students, it is necessary to standardize the data-collection survey to set the college health and healthy campus.

대학생의 생식건강 관련 건강행위, 생식건강력 및 성행위 실태 (Health Behaviors, Reproductive Health History, and Sexual Behaviors of College Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to survey the health behaviors related to reproductive health, reproductive health history, and sexual behaviors of college students in local areas. Method: With a survey design, 792 college students from C and D areas were recruited to assess health behaviors such as smoking and alcohol drinking, as well as history of reproductive health and sexual behaviors. The data were collected by a self-administered questionnaire from November to December, 2007. Result: Mean age of the students was 20.8(SD=1.96) and gender distribution was 29.2% for male and 70.8% for female. Unhealthy behaviors were alcohol drinking, smoking, excessive weight loss, and irregular exercise; unsafe sex practices were experience of sexual intercourse with multiple sex partners and history of sexually transmitted disease (STD). Male students had more alcohol drinking (p=.04), smoking(p<.001), excessive weight loss(p=.01), experience of sexual intercourse with multiple sex partners(p<.001), history of STD(p=.025) compared to females. On the other hands, female students participated in regular exercise less than males(p<.001). Conclusion: College students seem to perform unhealthy behaviors related to reproductive health and less effective way of safe sex practices. Therefore, a planned education program for reproductive health promotion operated by college level is needed to assess and improve the level of reproductive health in college students.
