GIS 공간 분석기법을 통한 철도사고위험물질별 피해규모 자동추출방안 (A Method to Measure Damage Areas by the types of Railroad Hazardous Material through GIS Spatial Analysis)

  • 산업의 발달 및 도시화의 증가로 인해 위험물질을 포함한 물류 수송량은 날로 증가하는 추세이고 위험물질 수송차량들의 사고발생 위험도 따라서 증대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 위험물 운송이 점차 증가하고 있는 철도수송에 있어 기존 선행 연구의 피해규모 분석모형을 적용하고, 위험물 물류 표준화 연구에서 정의된 물질별 사고노출량을 기준으로 하여 위험물 물질별 인구 및 환경 노출규모를 GIS(Geographic Information System)의 버퍼링 분석 기 법을 통하여 일반적으로 분석이 어려운 피해규모산정을 자동으로 도출하는 방안을 제시하였다. 각 링크별 인구 및 노출규모 산출 모형을 적용하기 위해서는 Network(철도망), Zone(행정구역), 철도사고 Data, 철도화물 통행량, 하천 및 강 등을 GIS Database로 구축하였고, 최종적으로 Buffering 분석과 함께, 중첩분석의 Clip 기법과 Special Join 기법을 함께 사용하여 본연구의 제시한 위험물 물질별 피해규모 자동 추출 방안을 제시해 보았다.

유해·위험작업의 취업제한에 관한 규칙 및 특별안전보건교육 대상작업의 사망재해 분석에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Death Accidents of Hazardous and Dangerous Works defined in Regulation for Employment Restriction and Special Education for Safety and Health)

  • With the changes of industrial structure, contents and types in hazardous and dangerous works have been changed considerably. However, the hazardous and dangerous works by defined "Regulation for the hazardous and dangerous work employment restriction" and "Special education for safety and health"have not been amended over twenty years. This study aimed to identify the recent trends of the works by analyzing the death accidents cases from 2004 to 2013 and to present the management methods about future hazardous and dangerous works. The results showed that amount of 1,972 cases among 11,513 death accidents were equivalent to the works presented by "Regulation for the hazardous and dangerous work employment restriction". The amount of death accidents in 'Work of using construction equipment following construction machinery management act' was biggest among the death accidents cases and that of 'Work of handling pressure vessels following high-pressure gas safety control act' didn't show up. For the works in "Special education for safety and health"amount of 1,650 death accidents cases were equivalent. The amount of death accidents in 'Work involving a crane with a capacity of 1 ton or more or work which is carried out with a crane or hoist with a capacity of less than 1 ton in a workplace having at least 5 such machines' presented by "Special education for safety and health"was biggest. Also, death accidents case didn't occurred in three works presented by "Special education for safety and health". It was analyzed that works with low death accidents cases should be needed to study thoroughly the whole disaster research involving nonfatal accidents. 화장품 유형별 유해 중금속 함량 비교 연구 (Comparative Study of Hazardous Heavy Metal Contents by Cosmetic Type)

  • Objectives: The hazardous heavy metal contents of cosmetics were investigated and the resulting values were compared by type of cosmetics: skin care preparations (SCP), hair preparations (HP), makeup preparations (MP), and eye makeup preparations (EMP). Methods: The hazardous heavy metal contents (Pb, As, Cd, Sb, Ni and Hg) were analyzed for 358 cosmetics products (187 SCP, 82 HP, 56 MP, and 33 EMP). Hg was measured by the amalgamation method, and other hazardous heavy metals were measured by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES) after decomposition using the microwave method. Results: The mean contents of Pb, As, Cd, Sb, Ni, and Hg in cosmetics were 0.424, 0.068, 0.024, 0.398, $0.567{\mu}/g$, and Not Detected, respectively. All of the hazardous heavy metals were detected in most products, but below the recommended maximums of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. The level of Cd was the lowest at 14.8%, and Sb was the highest at 41.2%. Pb, Sb and Ni showed the highest mean value and detection rate in EMP. As, Cd, and Hg showed the highest in SCP, HP, and MP, respectively. Conclusion: Hazardous heavy metals were detected in most products. In particular, Pb, Sb, and Ni were broadly detected in EMP, meaning more stringent quality control is required.

구강보건의료기관 종사들의 유해화학물질 인식, 실천 및 물질안전보건자료 (MSDS) 관리에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting the Recognition and Practice of Hazardous Chemical Substance & the Management of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) among Workers in Dental Clinics)

  • Purpose : This study was conducted to provide fundamental data to prepare for countermeasure to protect health of workers in the dental clinics from hazardous chemical substance, and to assess effecting factors on management of Material Safety Date Sheet(MSDS) and handling of hazardous chemical substance among workers in dental clinics. Methods : This study was carried out a survey with structured self-administered questionnaire which was consisted of 7 questions about the management of MSDS, 9 questions about recognition and practice of hazardous chemical substances in dental clinics, and 7 questions about general characteristics. Total subjects of this study were 204 adult who workers in dental clinics located in Busan and Gyeng-nam province area. The collected data were analysed using the SPSS statistical package program (ver. 23.0). Results : The factor that positively affected factor on recognition and practice of hazardous chemical substances in dental clinics has experience that has been institutional health-care accreditation. The factor that positively affected the management of MSDS has experience that has been institutional health-care accreditation. Conclusion : It is necessary to prepare countermeasures such as campaign and education on cognition of general chemical substances, and also the author concern that it should be perform the education on handling of hazardous chemical substances in dental clinics for more effecting management of MSDS. In order to improve the management of MSDS and improve the awareness and safety of chemicals, it is necessary to encourage the implementation of the institutional health-care accreditation system or prepare guidelines for the management of MSDS.

수전해설비의 전기방폭 기준 만족을 위한 비방폭화 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Non-Hazardous Method for complying with the Explosion Proof Criteria of the Electrolysis)

  • 최근 수전해설비의 운전압력이 증가함에 따라 수소 누출로 인한 화재 및 폭발 가능성 및 위험성 또한 증가하고 있다. 따라서 관계법령 및 기술기준에 따라 수전해 시스템에 설치되는 모든 전기기에 전기방폭 형식인증 제품을 사용하거나 적절한 방법에 따른 비폭발위험장소화 절차를 적용해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 수전해설비의 일반적인 운전조건을 고려하여 KS C IEC 60079-10-1 및 KGS GC101에 따른 폭발위험장소 구분 및 범위 산정을 수행하였다. 또한, 비폭발위험장소화를 달성하기 위해 임계농도인 폭발하한 25 % 미만의 농도를 유지하기 위한 적정 환기량을 검토하였다. 그 결과 자연환기만 적용할 경우에는 수전해설비가 폭발위험장소로 구분되고, 이를 강제환기를 통해 비폭발위험장소로 구분하기 위해서는 막대한 환기량이 필요함을 확인할 수 있었다.

서울·경인지역 유통판매중인 과자류의 위생지표 세균 및 식중독균 오염도 조사 (Monitoring of Microorganism Contamination in Children-Preferred Confectioneries in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 어린이 기호식품 중 하나인 과자류(과자, 캔디류, 츄잉껌, 빙과류)에 대하여 1,005건(과자 250건, 캔디류 255건, 츄잉껌 250 건, 빙과류 250건)에 대해 위생 지표 미생물인 일반세균 수, 대장균군/대장균과 더불어 식중독 원인균인 바실러스 세레우스, 클로스트리디움 퍼프린젠스 및 황색포도상구균에 대한 미생물 검사를 실시하였다. 과자류에 대한 일반세균 수의 경우 전체 시료의 26.8%에서 검출되었고, 검출된 세균 수는 1.7 log CFU/g을 나타내었다. 유형별로 살펴보았을 때에는 과자 250건 중 45.2%의 시료에서 검출되었으며, 빙과류 28.8%, 캔디류 20.0% 및 츄잉껌 13.2% 순으로 검출되는 것으로 확인되었다. 다른 위생지표 세균인 대장균군/대장균의 경우는 모든 시료에서 검출되지 않았다. 식중독균을 분석한 결과에서는 캔디류를 제외한 나머지 유형에서 바실러스 세레우스만 검출이 되었고, 평균 검출량은 1.4~1.6 log CFU/g로 현행 식품공전상의 미생물규격인 3 log CFU/g 이하 수준으로 모두 적합한 제품이었다. 이는 식품공전 상에서 정하고 있는 미생물 규격에 비해서는 낮은 수치로 식품의 제조 유통에는 문제가 없는 것으로 보이지만, 식중독 민감도가 높은 어린이들에게 안전한 식품을 제공하기 위해 합리적이고 과학적인 미생물 기준규격을 고려해야 한다.

PSL, TL 및 ESR 분석에 의한 건조과일류 및 버섯류에 대한 검지 특성 연구 (Studies on the Applications of PSL, TL and ESR Methods for the Detection of Dried Fruits and Mushrooms)

  • In this study, we investigated the applicability of the photostimulated luminescence (PSL), thermoluminescence (TL) and electron spin resonance (ESR) methods for various foods. The analysed samples consist of 11 items including dried fruits (6 items) and mushrooms (5 items). To compare between non-irradiated and irradiated food, all samples were irradiated with $^{60}Co$ gamma-ray source. In PSL study, the photon counts of all the unirradiated sample were identified negative (lower than 700). The photon counts irradiated (1, 5, 10 kGy) dried date-palm, dried jujube and mushrooms (Auricularia auricula, Phellinus linteus and Sarcodon aspratus) showed positive (higher than 5,000) and the results for the other samples were negative or intermediate (>700 and >5,000). In TL analysis most of items can be applicable to detect irradiated foods because of showing TL ratio above 0.1. The glow curves by TL method were estimated in the range of $150{\sim}250^{\circ}C$ in irradiated samples. In ESR measurements, the intensity of ESR signal (single-line) increased as the dose of irradiation increased. In particular, the specific ESR signals of irradiation-induced radical were detected in dried papaya, dried date-palm, dried banana, dried pineapple and S. aspratus. According to the results, PSL, TL and ESR methods were successfully applied to detect the irradiated foods. It is concluded that PSL, TL and ESR methods are suitable for detection of irradiated samples and a combined method is recommendable for enhancing the reliability of detection results.

유해화학물질 운반자의 취급안전보건 관리를 고려한 취급기준 마련 - 유해화학물질 시약 등 택배 안전용기 및 포장기준을 중심으로 - (Development of Handling Guidelines for the Safety and Health of Transporters of Hazardous Chemicals - Focusing on Safety Containers and Packaging for Delivery of Hazardous Chemicals Used for Reagents -)

  • Objectives: In this study, we analyzed the current state of delivery containers and packages and established handling guidelines to safely transport delivery containers and packages for use in research, testing, and examination reagents. Methods: Handling guidelines were revised in such categories as maintenance of the handling facilities, storage, loading and unloading, containers and packages, transportation, etc. In addition, we analyzed the current state of domestic sales for hazardous chemicals used for research, testing, and examination reagents, and investigated the handling guidelines related to delivery transportation in the USA, EU, and Japan by chemical property. Results: There are 6,160 companies selling hazardous chemicals. Among them, the 476 companies selling reagents for use in research, testing, and examination were investigated. Total amounts handled reached 425,000 tons, contributing to 0.2% of the total. For delivery transportation, internal containers and packaging was specified for chemical properties as follows: within 1 L for flammable gas, within 5 L for flammable liquid, and within 18 L for others. In addition, the maximum size of the outer package was set within 130 cm for total length, width, and height, and no dimension of the packaging could exceed 60 cm. Sixty-four hazardous chemicals with explosiveness or acute inhalation toxicity were prohibited for delivery transportation. Conclusion: Specified handling guidelines for inner and outer containers as well as packaging were regulated for delivery transportation of hazardous chemicals used for reagents. In addition, 64 hazardous chemicals were prohibited for delivery transportation. These are designed to prevent transportation accidents involving hazardous chemicals for reagents and thus protect the safety and health of transporters who handle hazardous chemicals.

대구지역 유통 한약재의 유해금속 함량에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Hazardous Metal Content of Herbal Medicines in the Daegu Area)

  • Objectives: The hazardous metals content of medicinal herbs distributed in the Daegu area was investigated, and the place of origin and the content of herbicides and medicinal components were studied. Methods: An analysis of hazardous metals content (10 types) was carried out on 164 samples of 99 types of herbal medicines. Among the total samples, 45 were domestic and 119 were imported. Hg was analyzed by the amalgamation method. Other hazardous metals content (nine types) was digested using the microwave method and measured by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). Results: The mean values of the hazardous metals content in the herbal medicines were Pb 1.0833 mg/kg, As 0.0136 mg/kg, Cd 0.0840 mg/kg, Cr 3.7120 mg/kg, Cu 4.2666 mg/kg, Mn 40.080 mg/kg, Ni 1.4330 mg/kg, Sb 0.1053 mg/kg, Al 202.64 mg/kg and Hg 0.0062 mg/kg. Three of the samples violated the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) regulatory guidance on cadmium (less than 0.3 mg/kg). The measured values of heavy metals (Pb, As, Cd, Hg) showed levels below the recommended levels for herbal medicines in MFDS regulatory guidance. In the comparison of domestic samples with imported herbal medicines, it was found that one domestic and two imported samples surpassed the maximum residue limits for cadmium. The median values of the hazardous metals detected in the three medicinal parts of the root, leaf (branch), and flower (seed and fruit) were as follows. Cr, Ni, Sb and Al were highly detected in roots, Pb, Cd, Mn, Hg in leafs (branch), and As, Cu in flowers (seed and fruit). Conclusion: There were various kinds of hazardous metals which were detected at high levels according to the place of origin of the medicinal herb and the parts the plant. For hazardous metals for which no acceptance criteria have been established, safety standards should be further studied and managed to ensure the safety of herbal medicines.

전분의 주원료 판별을 위한 유전자 분석법 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of DNA Analysis Method for Identificaion of Main Ingredients in Starch)

  • 전분의 사용원료를 확인하는 방법은 전분입자의 크기 또는 형태 등으로 분류하는 이화학적인 방법이 연구되었으나 원료별 또는 동일한 원료라도 품종에 따른 차이점으로 인하여 명확하게 확인하기 어려운 단점이 있어 유전자분석법을 시도하였다. 시료는 고구마 전분, 감자 전분, 옥수수 전분 및 타피오카 전분 등 총 11종을 사용하였으며, 유전자추출은 DNeasy plant mini 키트, magnetic DNA purification system 및 CTAB 방법으로 하였으며 추출유전자의 증폭을 위하여 WGA 키트로 처리하였다. 그리고 고구마, 감자, 옥수수 및 타피오카 검출을 위한 유전자 부위는 SSR (simple sequence repeat, ib-286-F/ib-286-R), 자당합성효소(potato sucrose synthase, Pss 01n-5'/Pss 01n-3'), 전분합성효소(starch synthase, SSllb 3-5'/SSllb 3-3') 및 SSR (SSRY26-F/SSRY26-R)를 각각 사용하였다. 그 결과 대부분의 경우 WGA를 처리한 경우에는 사용원료의 확인이 가능하였다.
