Analysis on the flow of $U_3O_8$ powder for design of the voloxidizer (건식분말화 장치설계를 위한 $U_3O_8$ 분말의 미세입자 유동해석)

  • Voloxidizer for hot cell demonstration that handle spend fuel of high radiation virulence in limited space should become a small size and not scatter in its exit. This study determine optimum velocity of $U_3O_8$ using Newton-Raphson Method. We have conducted fortran programing on the Newton-Raphson Method, obtained a theory results and, predicted optimum velocity on the particle size distribution of $U_3O_8$. We have conducted experimentation using acrylic experimental device for verification of theory method, sampled and analyzed using the particle size analyzer In the results, we have found maximum $5\~7\%$ error rate in the comparative value of theory and experimentation. Optimum velocity and experimental results of $U_3O_8$ for scatter prevention have applied for design of demonstration voloxidizer, and produced operation condition of voloxidizer.

Word-Based FCSRs with Fast Software Implementations

  • Feedback with carry shift registers (FCSRs) over 2-adic number would be suitable in hardware implementation, but the are not efficient in software implementation since their basic unit (the size of register clls) is 1-bit. In order to improve the efficiency we consider FCSRs over $2^{\ell}$-adic number (i.e., FCSRs with register cells of size ${\ell}$-bit) that produce ${\ell}$ bits at every clocking where ${\ell}$ will be taken as the size of normal words in modern CPUs (e.g., ${\ell}$ = 32). But, it is difficult to deal with the carry that happens when the size of summation results exceeds that of normal words. We may use long variables (declared with 'unsigned _int64' or 'unsigned long long') or conditional operators (such as 'if' statement) to handle the carry, but both the arithmetic operators over long variables and the conditional operators are not efficient comparing with simple arithmetic operators (such as shifts, maskings, xors, modular additions, etc.) over variables of size ${\ell}$-hit. In this paper, we propose some conditions for FCSRs over $2^{\ell}$-adic number which admit fast software implementations using only simple operators. Moreover, we give two implementation examples for the FCSRs. Our simulation result shows that the proposed methods are twice more efficient than usual methods using conditional operators.

  • We propose an improved version of Kim (2000) to the effect that in principle we may deal with a graphical model of any size. Kim (2000) proposed a method of estimating parameters for a model of categorical variables which is too large to handle as a single model. We applied the proposed method to a simulated data of 158 binary variables.

  • This paper presents a heuristic solution procedure for the quadratic assignment problem, ranking procedure, which can handle the case where not all of the facilities have the same size of area. The ranking procedure is found more efficient than two other existing heuristic procedures from results of computational experience. Based on the out-patients flow pattern and the procedure developed, an improved layout of the three existing general hospitals is developed with the objective of minimizing the total distance travelled by patients in the central and the out-patient clinic.

  • In this study, the nondimensional load capacity of water hydrodynamic journal bearings is calculated. A generalized coordinate formulation is applied to handle the complexity of bearing geometry. A window-based analysis program is developed to analysis the cylindrical hydrostatic bearings. Load capacities are calculated according to some design parameters such as clearance, diameter of orifice, size of recesses and temperature. The results are presented and discussed.

  • In this paper, an algorithm for stacking sequence optimization which deals with discrete ply angles is used for optimization of composite laminated plates. To handle discrete ply angles, the branch and bound method is modified. Numerical results show that the optimal stacking sequence is found with fewer evaluations of objective function than expected with the size of feasible region, which shows the algorithm can be effectively used for layup optimization of composite laminates..

Research on ANIOS Disinfection Efficiency to Prevent Infection in Radiography Room (방사선촬영실 감염 방지를 위한 에니오설프의 소독효율 연구)

  • In this study, microbes were collected before and after disinfection using ANIOS(ANIOSURF Premium NPC) and compared the areas where the radiological technologist and the patient frequently contacted the chest X-ray. From September 1st to September 7th, 2020. in P Hospital in Deagu, 4 region were collected in a 10×10 size using a sterile cotton swab of the transport medium, and before and after disinfection results were obtained through the colorimetric method. As a result, n the X-ray tube handle Proteus mirabilis, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Bacillus spp., Candida spp., and in the Chin region Proteus mirabilis, Enterococcu faecium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, NTM, and in the Chest region Proteus mirabilis, Enterococcu faecium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and in the Palm region NTM, Candida spp. were detected, and 103 CFU(Colony Forming Unit) or more were measured. After disinfection, only X-ray tube handle was detect Bacillus spp. and more than 102 CFU was measured. Microorganisms found prior to disinfection can cause opportunistic infections, Experimental results showed that Aniosulf(0.25%) is more economical and disinfectant than ethanol(70-90%) and isopropyl alcohol(70-90%). However, further research is needed on the detection of Bacillus spp. resultingly this research is useful basic data of infection control in Radiography room and prevention secondary infections.

On the Analysis of Physical Distribution System in Mokpo Port (목포항 물류시스템의 분석에 관한 연구)

  • Rapid change in the technological environment of marine transportation and the development of the ocean shipping industry have fostered a revolution in the port system. This in turn has caused major changes in the function and use of port in Korea. Aside from this, Mokpo Port, however continues to decline, because the existing port facilities and related subsystem are already obsolete with no chance of regaining operational effectiveness and treatment for proper implementation. Although a few studies have been done on the Mokpo Port, has not been found, any reseach for the analytical approach to the transportation system of it. This paper aims to make an extensive analysis of the physical distribution system in Mokpo Port focusing on the coordination of subsystems such as navigational aids system. The base of introduced simulation tool here is the queueing theory. The overall findings are as follows: 1. Among those vessels called at Mokpo Port in 1994, 556 ships(2,736,669 G/T) are oceangoing while 8155 ships(2,587,217 G/T) are domestic. The average size of oceangoing vessels is 4,922,1 G/T, and the domestic is 317,8 G/T. The average arrival interval and service time of the domestic vessels are 6.0 hours and 24.1 hours respectively marking the berth occupation rate over 100%. Those for oceangoing vessels are 34.5 hours, 120.0 hours and 37.2%. In order to maintainin the berth occupation rate to 70% the capacity considering the 1994 of domestic piers must be extended to 145% and oceangoing vessels must be increased to 165%. 2. The capacity of approaching channel is enough to handle the total traffic volume of 3. Tugs are sufficiently being provided to handle all ships requiring their services 4. The capacity of storage and inland transportation systems are sufficient to handle the throughput and the yard stroage utilization rate of No.1 - No.5 is 4.5% and No.6 is 30% of 1993's. 5. The utilization rate of LLC(Level Looping Crane) and PNT(PNeumaTic) are 2.7% and 18.8%, respectively.

  • The aim of this study was to develop a standard toothbrush to determine the changes the dental arch form. Toothbrushes were collected from university students Items, such as the toothbrush head size, shape of head, numbers of tuft, neck size, neck angle, and handle size, were measured. the full mouth study models from the participants were In conclusion, the size of the head of the toothbrush for adults needs to be less than the 25mm and less than 11mm in the longitudinal and transverse directions, respectively. The choice of toothbrush is important for controlling oral hygiene and professional education on the selection of the appropriate toothbrush is needed.
