  • Magnetic coupling is used where required high reliability. because magnetic coupling's durability is stronger than mechanical coupling's durability. This paper shows the force characteristics of halbach array magnetized tubular type magnetic coupling using Analytical method. Analytical method was used, to find force characteristics. Finite element method (FEM) is used to validate force characteristics.

  • 위치결정 기술은 초정밀 미세 기술의 발달과 제품의 소형화, 경량화에 대한 요구가 늘어나면서 고정밀화가 가속화되어 현재는 나노미터 수준의 위치정밀도를 요구하고 있다 현재 널리 사용되어지는 표면형상 측정기인 AFM은 분해능과 정밀도는 우수하지만, 이송 스테이지의 제한으로 측정영역이 좁은 단점이 있다. 이를 극복하기 위해서 이중서보를 사용한 방식들이 많이 제안되어 왔고 단일 서보를 사용하는 방식들도 연구되고 있다. 하지만 이중서보 방식은 여러 가지 액츄에이터와 컨트롤러를 사용해야하므로 제어알고리즘과 시스템이 복잡해지는 단점을 가지고 있다.(중략)

The Creation of a Strong Magnetic Field by Means of Large Magnetic Blocks from NdFeB Magnets in Opposing Linear Halbach Arrays

  • The article presents the results and findings obtained through the assembly of opposing linear Halbach arrays from two magnet layers using large magnetic blocks from permanent NdFeB magnets, especially concerning the distribution of magnetic induction in an air gap. The use of these large blocks has led to a significant expansion of the area of magnetic field with a substantially higher value of magnetic induction in comparison with similar linear Halbach arrays composed of small magnets. The paper also discusses the determined dependences of magnetic induction on the parameters of the x, y, z coordinate system and indicates the possibilities of achieving an even stronger magnetic field in a larger volume of an air gap for application for instance in equipment for magnetic separation of raw materials, in instrument technologies and in other areas.

  • This paper deals with the comparison and analysis for open-circuit field of PM(permanent magnet) machines with Halbach and circumferential magnetized rotor. The governing equation is derived in terms of magnetic vector potential and 2-d polar coordinate. And then, analytical results has been verified by comparison with those obtained from FE(finite element) method. On the basis of 2-d analytical results, this paper confirms that PM machines with circumferential magnetized rotor is superior to it with Halbach magnetized rotor in terms of magnitude and sinusoidal wave-forms of flux density due to PM and required magnet volume.

  • This paper presents the characteristics analysis and normal force minimization of a synchronous permanent magnet planar motor(SPMPM) with Halbach magnet way. Firstly, the flux density distribution is calculated by analytical method; then, the characteristics of this SPMPM are evaluated, some experiments have been done to verify the analysis propriety and to investigate the interaction among the characteristics; At last, the normal force is minimized by using genetic algorithm and it is decreased from 672.83[N] to 144.24[N] remarkably.

  • In this study, we describe the effects of changing the magnet shape of permanent magnets (PMs) in a rotor Halbach-array PM generator for reciprocating free piston generator applications. More specifically, the rectangular-shaped magnets were replaced by the trapezoidal-shaped magnets. The initial design, an analytical magnetic field solution of rectangular shaped magnets, is presented and air-gap magnetic flux density and thrust force were estimated. The results were compared to the finite element analysis (FEA) showing excellent agreement. Using FEA, the effect of the shape of the magnets on the flux density and thrust force waveforms is analyzed. Moreover, the proportion of the Halbach array in the machine was optimized by the means of a parametric search. The results obtained from the analytical calculations and FEA were validated by comparing to those of Radial-array PM generator.

  • The lift and drag forces on various magnet moving with a velocity is developed above a closed loop coil. These forces are affect by resistance and inductance of circuit, velocity of magnet. To obtain strong magnetic flux density, the magnet is replaced by Halbach array. This paper presents analysis of force between linear motion Halbach array and a closed loop having the constant resistance and inductance as a various speed.

  • In this paper, a synchronous permanent magnet planar motor (SPMPM) with Halbach array is proposed for its performance improvement. The magnetization and flux density distribution are obtained by magnet scalar potential; the characteristics such as back-EMF and thrust are evaluated. It can be concluded that the analysis of SPMPM with Halbach magnet array is credible and feasible.

  • Brake system using eddy current is adequate to obtain safe braking force in high speed transportation system and electric vehicle etc. In this paper, we propose the new type eddy current braker using Halbach array. which compared with the conventional permanent magnet array. The airgap flux density of Halbach array is higher 25% then conventional array, therefor we can predict that braking force is much large 1.56 times then conventional array.

  • 근래에 들어서 증기 압축식 냉동시스템으로 인한 대기환경 오염문제를 해결하기 위해 국제적 공조의 분위기가 형성되고 있다. 그래서 그 환경오염의 주원인으로 지적되는 CFC 냉매를 대체하는 냉동기술이 큰 주목을 받고 있다. 자기냉동은 물질의 자기열량효과를 이용하여 저온을 생성시키는 방법으로, CFC 냉매를 사용하는 대신에 고체 냉매를 사용함으로써 친환경적인 냉동 기술이라고 할 수 있다. 또한 전력 소모와 소음이 큰 압축기를 사용하지 않고, 자기장의 변화에 따른 재료의 온도 변화를 이용하여 저온부와 고온부의 온도차를 발생시킬 수 있어서 효율적인 냉동시스템으로 간주된다. 본 논문에서는 동심 원통형 Halbach 배열의 영구자석을 이용한 자기냉동장치를 제작하고, 이 장치를 이용하여 실험한 결과를 소개하고자 한다.
