Characterization of Heterodera sojae Virulence Phenotypes in Korea

  • The white soybean cyst nematode Heterodera sojae, isolated from the roots of soybean in Korea, is widespread in most provinces of the country and has the potential to be as harmful to soybean as H. glycines. Determining the virulence phenotypes of H. sojae is essential to devising management strategies that use resistant cultivars. Consequently, virulence phenotypes of 15 H. sojae populations from Korea were determined on seven soybean lines and one susceptible check variety. Two different HS types were found to be present in Korea; the more common HS type 2.5.7, comprising 73.3% of the H. sojae populations and the less common HS type 0, constituting only 26.7% of the tested populations. Considering the high frequency of H. sojae adaptation to soybean indicator lines, the PI 88788 group may not be a possible source of resistance while PI 548402, PI 90763, PI 437654, and PI 89772 can be used as resistance sources for soybean breeding programs aimed at developing H. sojae-resistant soybean cultivars in Korea.

전통 된장으로부터 분리한 향균물질 생산 Bacillus subtilis의 특성 (Characterization of Antibacterial Substance - Producing Bacillus subtilis Isolated from Traditional Doenjang)

  • 전통 장류 발효식품의 발효도와 저장성을 증진시키기 위하여 전통 콩 발효식품으로부터 cellulase, amylase, protease 활성 및 항균활성 물질 생성이 우수한 바실러스 HS25 균주를 분리하여 그 배양학적 특성을 검토하였다. HS25 균주는 편모와 내생포자를 가지며, 다량의 점질물을 형성하는 그람양성 간균으로 catalase 양성, oxidase 음성으로 esculin을 가수분해하였고, 16S rDNA분석 등을 통하여 Bacillus subtilis로 밝혀져 B. subtilis HS25로 명명하였다. B. subtilis HS25 균주의 생육 및 항균물질 생산을 위하여 최적 배지조성은 soluble starch 1%, yeast extract 0.5%, peptone 0.5% 및 $MgCl_2{\cdot}6H_{2}O$ 0.05%이었으며, 최적 배양온도는 $25{\sim}45^{\circ}C$, 초기 pH는 $6.5{\sim}9.5$, 최적 교반속도는 $160{\sim}200$ rpm이었고, 항균활성이 가장 높게 나타나는 배양 시간 범위는 $12{\sim}36$시간째였다.

고속축중기를 활용한 과적단속시스템의 과적 억제효과 분석 (Overloading Control Effectiveness of Overweight Enforcement System using High-Speed Weigh-In-Motion)

  • PURPOSES: The aim of this study is to analyze overloading control effectiveness of enforcing overweighted vehicles using HS-WIM (High-Speed Weigh-in-Motion) at main lane of expressway. METHODS: To analyze the weight distribution statistically, HS-WIM system should has an appropriate weighing accuracy. Thus, the weighing accuracy of the two HS-WIM systems was estimated by applying European specifications and ASTM (American Standards for Testing and Materials) for WIM in this study. Based on the results of accuracy test, overweight enforcement system has been operated at main lanes of two expressway routes in order to provide weight informations of overweighted vehicle in real time for enforcement squad. To evaluate the overloading control effectiveness with enforcement, traffic volume and axle loads of trucks for two months at the right after beginning of the enforcement were compared with data set for same periods before the enforcement. RESULTS: As the results of weighing accuracy test, both WIM systems were accepted to the most precise type that can be useful to applicate not only statistical purpose but enforcing on overweight vehicles directly. After the enforcement, the rate of overweighted trucks that weighed over enforcement limits had been decreased by 27% compared with the rate before the enforcement. Especially, the rate of overweighted trucks that weighed over 48 tons had been decreased by 91%. On the other hand, in counterpoint to decrease of the overweighted vehicle, the rate of trucks that weighed under enforcement limits had been increased by 7%. CONCLUSIONS: From the results, it is quite clear that overloading has been controlled since the beginning of the enforcement.

  • Mostly a ride comfort and handling performance of vehicle is influenced by dynamic behavior control of vehicle. We are focusing on development of a semi-intelligent suspension system with continuously variable damper(HS-SH type). only using absolute velocity of sprung mass without using the relative velocity besides having lower system prices and a little energy requirement. In this paper, the system is realized in consideration to control strategy (sky-hook control, hybrid filter, etc.) and has been proved to have improvement of behavior control of vehicle by quarter car and Vehicle test, respectively.

  • In this paper, Operation characteristics of the active clamp(ACL) zero-voltage-switching(ZVS) forward converter(FC) and active clamp hard- switching(HS) forward converter are compared with respect to loss analysis. The losses of semiconductor (including conduction losses and switching losses), transformer(containing the core loss and copper loss) and parasitic element of passive element (capacitor, inductor) are measured and compared for each type. For an experiment we have built 50W ACL ZVS-FC and ACL HS-FC, in which the switching frequency is 200kHz, and test it. The experimental results show that both types of operation have nearly same characteristics.

제2형 근관의 확대에 따른 최종근관장파일 크기의 비교 (A COMPARISON OF MASTER APICAL FILE SIZE ACCORDING TO INSTRUMENTATION IN TYPE II ROOT CANAL)

  • 제2형의 근관형태를 갖는 치아에서 각각의 근관을 모두 근관장까지 확대한 경우, 여러 확대기구에 따른 최종근관장파일의 크기를 상호 비교하여 얼마나 많은 변화가 있었는지를 분석하고자 치근 우식이 없고 치근단공 형성이 완료되었으며 2개의 근관 입구에서 시작하여 하나의 치근단공을 갖는 제 2형의 근관형태를 보이는 상악 소구치, 상악 대구치의 근심협측 치근 및 하악 대구치의 근심 치근을 선택하여 확대기구에 따라 KF군, PT군, HS군, K3군으로 분류하고 치경부 조기 확대를 시행하였다. 초기근관장파일이 15번 크기인 치아를 각 군당 20개씩 무작위로 선택하였고, 모든 근관을 각 군에 해당되는 30번 크기의 파일까지 제조회사의 지시에 따라 확대를 시행한 후, 촉감과 universal testing machine을 이용하여 최종근관장파일의 크기를 결정하였다. 각 군의 최종근관장파일의 크기와 제거 시 요구되는 힘의 크기에 대한 유의성 검증은 one-way ANOVA를 이용하여 비교 분석하였으며, 사후검정은 Tukey HSD test를 이용하여 0.05의 유의수준에서 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과 제2형의 근관형태를 갖는 치아의 근관확대 시, 모든 근관을 각각의 근관장으로 확대하는 방법은 확대에 마지막으로 이용된 기구의 크기보다 한, 두 단계 정도 증가된 최종근관장파일을 나타냈다. 그러므로 제2형 근관형태를 나타내는 치아의 근관치료 시 임상가들은 근관충전에 앞서 치근단 받침을 다시 확인하고 형성하는 과정이 필요하리라 사료된다.

주행시험을 통한 고속축중기의 융합형 중량환산 알고리즘 효과 분석 (An Analysis of Test Results Using the New Fusion Weight Conversion Algorithm for High-speed Weigh-In-Motion System)

  • 고속축중기는 통행 흐름의 통제나 속도의 감속 없이 주행 중인 화물차량의 중량을 실시간 무인 검측하는 시스템으로, 국내에서는 축 조작 행위방지 및 주행 중 과적행위 적발을 위해 주로 고속국도 및 일반국도 본선에 설치하여 이동단속반 검차를 위한 사전선별용으로 활용된다. 본 연구에서는 고속축중기의 중량 측정정확도를 법정 기준까지 향상시키고자 기존 적분형 및 첨두형 중량환산 알고리즘에 대한 분석을 통해 개선사항을 제시하고, 매트타입형 고속축중기에 적용할 수 있는 새로운 융합형 알고리즘을 고안하였다. 이 알고리즘을 적용하여 현장 실차 주행시험을 통한 정확도 향상 효과를 분석한 결과, 최상급의 정확도 등급을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 최근의 전기전자제품 중 유해물질규제지침(RoHS)이나 폐전기전자제품 처리 지침(WEEE) 등의 각종 환경규제는 국제교역에 있어 실질적인 무역장벽으로 작용하고 있다. 한국표준과학연구원(KRISS)에서는 이와 같은 환경규제와 관련하여 국내시험연구기관 및 관련산업체실험실의 측정 신뢰성 확보를 위한 숙련도 시험을 실시하였다. 참여기관은 국내 전기전자 제품 및 자동차 관련 실험실 31개소이다. 숙련도시험용 시료는 pellet type 폴리프로필렌 소재 2 종이며, 측정대상원소는 유럽공동체의 RoHS 지침에서 규정하고 있는 6개 성분 중 카드뮴 (Cd)과 납 (Pb)이다. 시료는 2006년 9월 1일 각 참여실험실에 우편 송부하였으며 10월 10일까지 측정 결과를 접수하였다. 각 실험실의 측정 결과는 KRISS 기준값과의 비교, Robustic Z-score, Youden plot 등에 의해 비교 평가하고 전처리 방법에 따른 측정 결과도 비교 검토하였다. 전반적으로 기준값과의 10% 범위 내에서 일치되는 결과를 보고하였으나 일부 실험실은 심각한 bias를 보이고 있어 측정결과의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 품질보증 시스템을 갖추어야 할 필요가 있다.

  • As the basic study about improvement of yellow croaker drift gill net fishing implement and development of the fishing system, this study drew problem after synthetically analyzing hauling system of yellow croaker drift gill net used in the coast of Chuja Island and tested several characters and analyzed in hauling process with 5 step net hauler model for improving the problem. The analysis results are as follows. When the angle between axises of drum centers was small, it showed the tendency that hauling time was fast. Hauling time was faster when drum was 5 step rather than 3 step. When drum was 5 step, slippery phenomenon was small and hauling was stable. Tension was larger when drum was 5 step rather than 3 step. When drum was 5 step, the range of change of the maximum and minimum value was small and hauling was stable. When drum was 3 step, there was following formula between hauling time ($Ht_3$) and angle between axises of drum centers ($A_g$) $Ht_3$ : ($7.15Hs^{-0.81}$) $A_g^{-0.81}$, when drum was 5 step there was following formula.$Ht_5$ : ($6.45Hs^{-0.75}$) $A_g0.10$, here, Hs is hauling speed. When drum was 3 step and hauling speed was 28cm/sec, tension was $T=0.08A_8^3-1.60A_g^3-0.49A_g+369.56(r=0.99)$, when drum was 5 step, tension was, $T=-0.01A_g^3+1.96A_g^2-34.05A_g+414.58$ (r-0.99), here, T was tension(g).

리버스 무단 댐퍼용 연속가변밸브의 튜닝 파라미터에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Tuning Parameter of Continuous Variable Valve for Reverse Continuous Damper)

  • Semi-active suspension systems are greatly expected to be in the mainstream of future controlled suspensions for passenger cars. In this study, a continuous variable damper for a passenger car suspension is developed, which is controlled actively and exhibits high performance with light weight, low cost, and low energy consumption. To get fast response of the damper, reverse damping mechanism is adapted, and to get small pressure change rate after blow-off, a pilot controlled proportional valve is designed and analyzed. The reverse continuous variable damper is designed as a HS-SH damper that offers good body control with reduced transferred input force from tire, compared with any other type of suspension system. The damper structure is designed, so that rebound and compression damping force can be tuned independently, of which variable valve is placed externally. The rate of pressure change with respect to the flow rate after blow-off becomes smooth when the fixed orifice size increases, which means that the blow-off slope is controllable using the fixed orifice size. The damping force variance is wide and continuous, and is controlled by the spool opening, of which scheme is usually adapted in proportional valves. The reverse continuous variable damper developed in this study is expected to be utilized in the semi-active suspension systems in passenger cars after its performance and simplicity of the design is confirmed through real car test.
