  • We consider a sufficient condition for w(z), analytic in ${\mid}z{\mid}$ < 1, to be bounded in ${\mid}z{\mid}$ < 1, where $w(0)=w^{\prime}(0)=0$. We apply it to the meromorphic starlike functions. Also, a certain Briot-Bouquet differential subordination is considered. Moreover, we prove that if $p(z)+zp^{\prime}(z){\phi}(p(z)){\prec}h(z)$, then $p(z){\prec}h(z)$, where $h(z)=[(1+z)(1-z)]^{\alpha}$, under some additional assumptions on ${\phi}(z)$.

  • The estimate of third Hankel determinant $$H_{3,1}(f)=\left|a_1\;a_2\;a_3\\a_2\;a_3\;a_4\\a_3\;a_4\;a_5\right|$$ of the analytic function $f(z)=z+a2z^2+a3z^3+{\cdots}$, for which ${\Re}(1+zf^{{\prime}{\prime}}(z)/f^{\prime}(z))>-1/2$ are investigated. The corrected version of a known results [2, Theorem 3.1 and Theorem 3.3] are also obtained.

  • The aim of this paper is to present theorems on the exitence of zeros for mappings defined on convex subsets of topological vector spaces with values in a vector space. In addition to natural assumptions of continuity, convexity, and compactness, the mappings are subject to some geometric conditions. In the first theorem, the mapping satisfies a "Darboux-type" property expressed in terms of an auxiliary numerical function. Typically, this functions is, in this case, related to an order structure on the target space. We derive an existence theorem for "obtuse" quasiconvex mappings with values in an ordered vector space. In the second theorem, we prove the existence of a "common zero" for an arbitrary (not necessarily countable) family of mappings satisfying a general "inwardness" condition againg expressed in terms of numerical functions (these numerical functions could be duality pairings (more generally, bilinear forms)). Our inwardness condition encompasses classical inwardness conditions of Leray-Schauder, Altman, or Bergman-Halpern types.

  • The H$_{\infty}$robust controller fur the reactor power control system is designed by use of the mixed weight sensitivity. The system is configured into the typical two-port model with which the weight functions are augmented. Since the solution depends on the weighting functions and the problem is of non-convex, the genetic algorithm is used to determine the weighting functions. The cost function applied in the genetic algorithm permits the direct control of the power tracking performances. In addition, the actual operating constraints such as rod velocity and acceleration can be treated as design parameters. Compared with the conventional approach, the controller designed by the genetic algorithm results in the better performances with the realistic constraints. Also, it is found that the genetic algorithm could be used as an effective tool in the robust design. robust design.

  • For the Briot-Bouquet differential equations of the form given in [1] $${{\mu}(z)+\frac {z{\mu}'(z)}{z\frac {f'(z)}{f(z)}\[\alpha{\mu}(z)+\beta]}=g(z)$$ we can reduce them to $${{\mu}(z)+F(z)\frac {v'(z)}{v(z)}=h(z)$$ where $$v(z)=\alpha{\mu}(z)+\beta,\;h(z)={\alpha}g(z)+\beta\;and\;F(z)=f(z)/f'(z)$$. In this paper we are going to give conditions in order that if u and v satisfy, respectively, the equations (1) $${{\mu}(z)+F(z)\frac {v'(z)}{v(z)}=h(z)$$, $${{\mu}(z)+G(z)\frac {v'(z)}{v(z)}=g(z)$$ with certain conditions on the functions F and G applying the concept of strong subordination $g\;\prec\;\prec\;h$ given in [2] by the author, implies that $v\;\prec\;{\mu},\;where\;\prec$ indicates subordination.

  • We give a function associated with generalized Ostrowski type inequality and its integral representation for local fractional calculus. Then, using this function and its integral representation, we establish several inequalities of generalized Ostrowski type for twice local fractional differentiable functions. We also consider some special cases of the main results which are further applied to a concrete function to yield two interesting inequalities associated with two generalized means.

  • In this paper, we study analytic and geometric properties of the solution q(z) to the differential equation q(z) + zq'(z)/q(z) = h(z) with the initial condition q(0) = 1 for a given analytic function h(z) on the unit disk |z| < 1 in the complex plane with h(0) = 1. In particular, we investigate the possible largest constant c > 0 such that the condition |Im [zf"(z)/f'(z)]| < c on |z| < 1 implies starlikeness of an analytic function f(z) on |z| < 1 with f(0) = f'(0) - 1 = 0.

  • The vibrational behavior of nanoelements is critical in determining how a nanostructure behaves. However, combining vibrational analysis with stability analysis allows for a more comprehensive knowledge of a structure's behavior. As a result, the goal of this research is to characterize the behavior of nonlocal nanocyndrical beams with uniform and nonuniform cross sections. The nonuniformity of the beams is determined by three distinct section functions, namely linear, convex, and exponential functions, with the length and mass of the beams being identical. For completely clamped, fully pinned, and cantilever boundary conditions, Eringen's nonlocal theory is combined with the Timoshenko beam model. The extended differential quadrature technique was used to solve the governing equations in this research. In contrast to the other boundary conditions, the findings of this research reveal that the nonlocal impact has the opposite effect on the frequency of the uniform cantilever nanobeam. Furthermore, since the mass of the materials employed in these nanobeams is designed to remain the same, the findings may be utilized to help improve the frequency and buckling stress of a resonator without requiring additional material, which is a cost-effective benefit.
