  • The grouting method is widely used as the impermeable effect and ground reinforcement in construction. But, it has a problem that cement and grout material are not mixed well in the injection tip equipment and an opposite flow and interception state of the chemical grouting is happened. so, continuous work is difficult. McG method installed a special grouting and device, made possible go well mixing of grouting material and prevent flowing backward and block of nozzle also diversify powder rate of cement that is grouting material to select sutible material in layer conditions. YSS that lowered $Na_2O$ influencing durability and circumstance is developed by gel-forming reaction material. so eco-circumstance and durability is increased by minimizing dissolution of underground water. In this study, it is assumed that seepage state of the injection material using a special injection tip equipment and a unconfined compressive strenth by mixing a various injection material of various. And it is confirmed that strenth increase effect and permeable decrease of the improved body through the test execution and field execution.

  • This study researches on global technology trend in each of composing technology, such as grouting material, grouting equipment, and construction management technology, which grouting technology has been founded upon to improve relatively inadequate domestic grouting technology and to establish the global standard for overseas expansion in the future. As far as grouting material is concerned, while High-Penetration and High-Strength micro cement ($1.5{\mu}m$) has been developed in 2000's in Japan, JinChun Kim et al. (2014) has been developing hybrid type micro cement grouting material and examining specifications of different kinds of projects and countries to analyze the trend of grouting equipment development. The specification contains detailed requisite specification for materials, mixers, pumps, agitators, and packers and it has to satisfy the standard of different countries to win global contracts. Grouting management technology can be divided into four different generations and Scandinavian countries, such as Sweden, Norway, and Finland, Japan, and South Korea are recently doing vigorous researches on the Fourth generation which merges grouting technology with ICT.

  • The grouting method is widely used in construction to reduce permeability and reinforce the ground. If the cement and grout material are not mixed well in the injection tip equipment, an opposite flow and Interception state of the chemical grouting can occur. McG method installs a special grouting device to allow better mixing of the grouting material and prevent backward flow. The block of nozzle also diversify powder rate of cement. YSS that lowers $Na_2O$ and thereby increases durability is developed by gel-forming reaction material. In this study, the seepage state and unconfined compressive strength of the injection material using the special injection tip equipment is tested. The results of laboratory and field tests clearly demonstrate that the strength increases and permeability decreases using the McG method.

  • Anchor, soil nail, micropile have been widely used for slope reinforcement and foundation. These all methods need grouting work after placing reinforcing member. In domestic case, gravity fill techniques and pressure grouting techniques are mainly used. In contrast the pressure re-injection grouting method is not commonly used because grouting equipment and lack of practical application example is short and the verification of reinforcing effect is difficult. Pressure re-injection grouting is a kind of post grouting which technique increases the radial stresses acting on the grout body and causes irregular surface to be developed around bond length that tends to interlock the grout and the ground. In this study, the field test was performed to evaluate the reinforcing effect with the variation of grouting methods and pullout characteristics of reinforcing member placed by pressure re-injection grouting method. The test results showed that the post-grouting methods were useful to increase the pullout capacity.

  • A grouting method has been widely used in construction of large-scale structure to reduce permeability and reinforce the ground. If cement and grout material were not mixed well in the injection tip equipment, an opposite flow and interception state of the chemical grouting can occur. McG (Multi-mixing counterflow prevented Grouting, McG) method installed a special grouting device to allow better mixing of the grouting material(above fineness $6,000cm^2/g$) and prevent backward flow. The block of nozzle also diversify powder rate of cement. YSS (Youngil Special Silicate, YSS) that lowers $Na_2O$ and thereby increases durability was developed by gel-forming reaction material. The seepage state and unconfined compressive strength of the injection material using the special injection tip equipment was tested in this study. The results of this study showed that the uniaxial compressive strength, permeability, N-value, TCR and RQD were improved by this method. Engineering characteristics obtained by the special injection tip method will be compared with those by the other method through various field tests from now on.

  • This study conducted the research on the method of grouting quality management and the improvement effect by applying grouting construction's quality management technology to automatic injection management equipment through measure of liquefaction based on the case of reinforcement applying grouting at the region where liquefaction happened at section 12 site of highway construction. The pressure(p), speed(q), grouting penetration radius(R) value from injection pressure, injection speed, characteristics of grain size, and characteristics of viscosity through p-q-t chart analysis was applied to the automatic grouting system which could improve the quality management of grouting. Standard penetration test results after injection showed that N values represented 5-20 and the prevention of liquefaction became possible.

  • This is the first of two part series on experimental studies of grout type transverse joints. In this study, grout type transverse joints between precast concrete slabs are statically tested to determine the cracking loads and ultimate shear capacities of the grout type transverse joints. The tests are performed with a loading equipment designed and constructed especially in the lab to induce shear failures on the joints of the test specimens. Shape of the transverse joints, grouting materials and amount of prestress are selected as test parameters for the study. The results indicate that epoxy is an excellent grouting material which can be used in limited locations where large tensile stress is acting on the slab. Longitudinal prestressing is also an effective method to increase the shear strength of the transverse joints. A rational method to estimate the cracking and ultimate loads for the design of grout type transverse joints is proposed based on the static loading tests. Success of the tests with shear loading equipment allowed continuing the research further onto the fatigue strength of the grout type joints, which will be presented in the second part of the paper.

  • Anchor, soil nail and micropile have been widely used for slope reinforcement and foundation. These all methods need grouting work after placing reinforcing member. The pressure injection-grouting techniques helps to increase the bearing capacity of reinforcing member by enhancing larger effective pile diameter and increasing the radial stresses acting on the grout body and causing irregular surface. However, the pressure reinjection-grouting techniques is not commonly used because grouting equipment and practical application example are short and the verification of reinforcing effect is difficult. In this study, the laboratory test was performed to evaluate the reinforcing effect with variation of grouting methods in clay. As a result of the test, the pressure reinjection-grouting techniques showed that the pullout capacity of reinforcing member increased up to 1.22~2.61 times comparing to the gravity fill techniques.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the cut-off effect in aquifer by chemical grouting. Moreover, injection tests using specially prepared injection equipment of 1.5 shot system which hydrauric condition can be controlled are attempted to investigate the cut-off effect by confirming the gelling condition of samples according to the variation of flow velosity. And the permeability is measured according to changing of time by falling head test in order to consider the durability of grouts. Therefore to increase the cut-off effect in groundwater flow, shortening the gel-time according to the increasement of flow velocity, increasing the concentration and quantity of grouts(grouting ratio) according to the increasement of that, and as another direct method, contracting the distance between grouting holes or enlarging the grouting line should be done. These coefficients should be designed by data based on injection test in laboratory and field.

  • Grouting for soil improvement has generally been applied to the depth over water table. Recently, it is needed to develop the grouting technique for soils under greater static water pressure or greater overburden pressure in constructions such as deep excavation or harbour deepening. In this study, a laboratory apparatus was developed to control the injection pressure, load pressure, and hydrostatic pressure. A series of experiments were performed with various degrees of hydrostatic pressure using the developed equipment. As a result, injected volume increase as injection pressure increase, while the volume significantly decreased under hydrostatic pressure. Larger volume of grout bulb was shown in soils with larger granular and pore size based on the comparison result of volume changes with respect to the amount of grouting injection.
