친환경 주거단지 개발계획에 관한 이론적 고찰 -강북뉴타운 주거단지를 대상으로- (A Study of Environmentally Friendly Residential District Development -Concentrated on Gang-buk new town residential district-)

  • According to the New Town Development Plan, Gang-buk area, a symbol of slum in Seoul will be changed new residential area. There are a lot of challenges for success this project. First of all, new ways of city plan "pre-plan and development" and "environmentally friendly development" are necessary to carry out this plan. Another important idea is how to overcome conflicts such as unbalanced development, a traffic jam and environment problem. Also, Government and a citizen agree that this project have to accept eco-protectable and sustainable development theory. For increasing green area ratio and keeping eco-diversity, planting at roofs and water circulation system in residential complex are compulsory. Green network based on environmentally friendly development provides a natural energe stream on eco-system and protects a city from air pollution, hot air island phenomenon and a flood.

Building Integrated Vegetation Systems into the New Sainsbury's Building Based on BIM

  • Today, there is a growing need of environment-friendly buildings, so-called 'green', facilities, and energy saving buildings to decrease environmental pollutants released into cities by construction activities. Green-Building Information Modeling (Green-BIM) is a purpose-built solution which supports to forecast energy consumption of 3-D model of a building by augmenting its primary 3-D measurements (width, height and depth) with many more dimensions (e.g. time, costs, social impacts and environmental consequences) throughout a series of sequential phases in the lifecycle of a building. The current study was carried out in order to integrate vegetation systems (particularly green roof and green wall systems) and investigate thermal performance of the new Sainsbury's building which will be built on Melton road, Leicester, United Kingdom. Within this scope, a 3-D building model of the news Sainsbury's building was first developed in $Autodesk^{(R)}$ $Revit^{(R)}$ and this model was then simulated in $Autodesk^{(R)}$ $Ecotect^{(R)}$once weather data of the construction site was obtained from $Autodesk^{(R)}$ Green Building $Studio^{(R)}$. This study primarily analyzed data from (1) solar radiation, (2) heat gains and losses, and (3) heating and cooling loads simulation to evaluate thermal performance of the building integrated with vegetation system or conventionally available envelops. The results showed that building integrated vegetation system can potentially reduce internal solar gains on the building rooftops by creating a 'bioshade'. Heat gains and losses through roofs and walls were markedly diminished by offering greater insulation on the building. Annual energy loads for heating and cooling were significantly reduced by vegetation more significantly through the green roof system in comparison to green wall system.

옥상녹화 유형별 거주자 이용행태와 건강효과 (A Research of the Residents' Availability and Health Effectiveness Based upon the Types of Green Roof)

  • 본 연구는 옥상녹화 장소별 이용행태와 옥상녹화 이용과 평소 전반적인 건강 수준의 연관성을 파악하여 옥상녹화 장소 이용을 통한 건강효과를 파악하고자 하였다. 연구대상지는 대구지역 옥상녹화가 조성된 건축물 유형별로 주택, 관공서, 교육기관, 의료기관, 쇼핑센터를 선정하였다. 연구 대상자는 옥상녹화 건물 거주자 및 이용자로 하였다. 현재 옥상녹화 이용행태는 60% 이상 이용률, 30분 미만의 단시간 이용, 기분전환 및 스트레스 해소를 위해 휴식, 주변 경관감상, 흡연, 산책과 운동의 목적으로 이용되고 있다. 옥상녹화 활성화를 위하여 시설물과 녹화식물을 확충하고, 운영 및 관리 보조금 지원이 효과적이다. 이용자의 건강수준이 낮게 나타난 교육기관, 의료기관, 쇼핑센터에 우선적으로 옥상녹화를 조성할 경우, 도시민의 건강증진에 도움이 될 것으로 생각된다. 휴식과 주변 경관감상을 통한 정서적 건강향상은 신체적 건강에도 영향을 주므로, 옥상녹화 조성을 통한 물리적 환경개선은 건강한 도시만들기에도 기여할 것이다.

저류형 옥상녹화의 우수유출저감에 대한 연구 (Runoff Reduction Effect of Rainwater Retentive Green roof)

  • Purpose: There is a growing interest in rainwater runoff reduction effect of green roof, as flooding caused by increasing impervious surface is becoming more and more frequent in urban areas. This study was conducted to prove runoff reduction and runoff delay effect of the retentive green roof and to investigate its influencing factors to the rainfall events that occurred in the summer of 2013. Method: The experiment intended to monitor the runoff quantity of the retentive green roof($140m^2$) and normal roof($100m^2$) in #35 building in Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea for 75 days in 2013. Result: On analysis of 9 rainfall events, it showed that the retentive green roof has 24.8~100% of runoff reduction ratio, 21.2~100% of peak flow reduction ratio, 0.5~3.75 hours of peak delay, and $1.8{\sim}7.2m^3$ of retaining capacity in an area of $140m^2$. It shows different results depending on rainfall and antecedent dry days. The results show that runoff reduction effect is effective when the rainfall is less than 50 mm and antecedent dry day is longer than five days on average. By installing retentive green roofs on buildings, it can help mitigate urban floods and rehabilitate urban water cycle.

옥상 및 인공지반녹화용 방근재의 성능기준 설정을 위한 방근성 시험방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Test Methods for Performance Appraisal of Root Barrier Appling to Green Roofs)

  • Selection of proper root barrier as destination part of greening is very important in Root penetration resistance plan. To select proper root barrier, it need to understand composition of greening part, size, kind of plant, connection with waterproofing layer. In this point of view, we have establish greening on the roof or concrete structure, not been understand the structural mechanism. It means that we misunderstood about purpose of greening and using it. So, chosen materials and construction method was not proper for greening, it caused water leakage and decrease performance of concrete structure. Therefore, we would suggest 5 items of test methods considering environmental condition for green roof. Watertightness by water of greening part, root penetration resistance test by root penetration, bacteria resistance by must or bacteria in soil, chemical resistance by rain and chemical agent of fertilizer, and load resistance by soil depth, size of plant. These suggested test methods could be referred as guideline to test in green roof system because of not exist any performance appraisal guideline or standard. Consequently, it should be analysis as technical and institutional subdividing test methods and it need to study constantly as varied angles.

옥상녹화 방수 및 방근 기술로서 동판재의 적합성 및 시공성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Workability and Application of Cooper Plate based on the Waterproofing and Root Penetration Resistance)

  • To build up the green roofs, it must not adverse effect to durability and structural safety. That is conducted by safety system which consist of waterproofing to form basically, root barrier to protect the waterproofing. The reason why root barrier form is to protect the penetration force of root growth and the root could penetrate concrete surface, move inward so far. It may cause shorten the life span on concrete structure. For this problem, government constantly demand the solution to form the root barrier for waterproofing and concrete structure before the building is service. However, the technical action is not fully prepared. Therefore, in this study, we would like to suggest the workability and suitability of the copper plate to solve not only the side of waterproofing but also root barrier for green roof system and exhibit the mechanism for root penetration resistance and corrosion resistance.

옥상녹화에서 혼합식재에 따른 블루페스큐와 지피초화류의 생육 반응 (Effect of Companion Planting on Growth of Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue' and Flowering Ground-cover Plants on Green Roofs)

  • This study was carried out to suggest an appropriate plant combination by evaluating the growth of flowering ground-cover plants planted with Festuca glauca 'Eljiah Blue' on the roof-top environment. As for the plant materials, Allium senescens and Chrysanthemum coreanum which are shorter than Festuca glauca 'Eljiah Blue' and Sedum takesimense and Agastache rugosa which are taller than Festuca glauca 'Eljiah Blue' were selected. Festuca glauca 'Eljiah Blue' was planted on Conrol, and Festuca glauca 'Eljiah Blue' with Allium senescens (T1), Festuca glauca 'Eljiah Blue' with Sedum takesimense (T2), Festuca glauca 'Eljiah Blue' with Agastache rugosa(T3), and Festuca glauca 'Eljiah Blue' with Chrysanthemum coreanum (T4) were planted in each experimental plot. Plant height and covering rate were measured to evaluate the growth of Festuca glauca 'Eljiah Blue'. Also, relative growth rate (RGR) of plant height, RGR of plant width, and mortality rate of the flowering ground-cover plants were estimated. Plant height and cover rate of Festuca glauca 'Eljiah Blue' was greatest in T3. RGR of plant height was greater in the order of Agastache rugosa, Allium senescens, Chrysanthemum coreanum, and Sedum takesimense. In particular, RGR of plant width was also greatest for Agastache rugosa. Mortality rates of Agastache rugosa and Allium senescens were lowest at 11%. Therefore, based on good growth of Festuca glauca 'Eljiah Blue' planted with Agastache rugosa, these results were suggested as a desirable combination of plant species for rooftop gardening.

단독주택 건물 그린리모델링에 따른 건물 에너지 성능과 운전비용 절감 효과 평가 (Energy Performance and Operating Cost Assessment for Implementing Green Remodeling Technologies in a Detached House)

  • The Government the Republic of Korea is showing a lot of interest in net zero-energy buildings (NZEBs) to reduce energy consumption of buildings and to promote green growth policy in construction sector. The application of building passive technologies and renewable energies is essential to achieving NZEBs. Green remodeling reinforced the insulation of the exterior walls and roofs of the buildings and replaced high-efficiency windows and doors. In this study, the energy performance before and after green remodeling applied in a detached house was comparatively analyzed for baseline scenario and three different ones, ALT 1, ALT 2 and ALT 3. A building modeling and simulation software (DesignBuilder V7.0) with EnergyPlus (V9.4) calculation engine was used to calculate the energy demand and energy consumption for each scenario. Based on the calculation results of the building's energy demand for baseline, it was determined that the target building required more heating energy than cooling energy. The simulation results also showed that the implementation of building envelope performance improvement technologies (ALT 1) could notably decrease the heating energy consumption of the building. After the remodeling (ALT 1), the source energy consumption per unit floor area was assessed to be reduced by 65.2%, compared to prior remodeling of 338.7 kWh/m2 -y. Meanwhile, ALT 2 can achieve energy savings of 67.7% and ALT 3 can achieve savings of 73.1%. Following completion of the remodeling project, actual construction costs, and on-site measurements and verification results will be gathered and compared with the simulation results. Additionally, economic analysis including construction costs and payback period will be conducted using actual site data.

무관수 옥상녹화에서 유기질 비료와 멀칭재에 따른 리아트리스(Liatris spicata) 생육 반응 (Effect of Organic Matter Ratios in Substrate and Mulching Materials on Growth of Liatris spicata under Non-irrigated Green Roofs)

  • 본 연구는 유기질 비료와 멀칭재에 따른 리아트리스(Liatrisspicata)의 생육을 조사하여 무관수 옥상녹화에서의 효용성을 알아보고자 실시하였다. 4가지의 멀칭처리(무처리, 난석 멀칭, 바크 멀칭, 검은색 부직포 멀칭)와 3가지의 유기질 비료처리($A_1O_0$, $A_4O_1$, $A_1O_1$)로 총 12가지의 처리구를 옥상에 배치하였다. 생육측정은 2010년 4월부터 10월까지 초장, 엽수, 꽃대직경, 소화수, 엽록소 함량, 지상부 생체중 및 건조중 등을, 생존율은 이듬해인 2011년 5월에 조사하였다. 1. 인공배합토 100%($A_1O_0$)처리구의 경우, 검은색 부직포 멀칭에서 리아트리스의 엽수, 소화수, 엽록소 함량 등이 높았고, 특히, 초장, 지상부 생체중, 지상부 건조중 등은 다른 멀칭처리에 비해 확연한 차이를 보였다. 동면 후 생존율은 무처리와 난석 멀칭이 100%, 바크 멀칭에서는 20%,검은색 부직포 멀칭에서는 0%의 생존율을 보였다. 2.인공배합토 80%, 유기질 비료 20%($A_4O_1$)의 경우, 검은색 부직포 멀칭에서 리아트리스의 초장, 엽수, 소화수, 지상부, 생체중, 지상부 건조중 등이 다른 멀칭처리에 비해 높았으나, 초장을 제외하고 뚜렷한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 동면 후 생존율은 $A_1O_0$와 비교해볼 때 약 40~60% 정도 감소하였다. 3. 인공배합토 50%, 유기질 비료 50%($A_1O_1$)의 경우, 검은색 부직포 멀칭이나 바크 멀칭에서 리아트리스의 초장, 꽃대직경, 소화수, 엽수, 엽록소 함량, 지상부 생체중, 지상부 건조중 등이 다른 멀칭처리에 비해 좀 더 높았으나 통계적인 유의성은 없었다. 동면 후 생존율은 모든 멀칭처리에서 0%를 나타냈다. 따라서, 무관수 옥상녹화에서 리아트리스의 생육과 개화는 검은색 부직포 멀칭에서 가장 양호하였다. 반면, 동면 후 생존율은 유기질 비료의 비율이 높을수록 저하되는 경향을 보였다.

공동주택단지 외부공간 친환경 요소의 적용현황 및 개선점 연구 (A Study on the Improvement and Application of Environmentally-Friendly Factors at Outdoor Spaces in Apartment Complexes)

  • This study investigated how external environmentally-friendly factors adopted to improve the quality of outdoor spaces have been designed and used in the construction of apartment complexes. The goal of this study is to determine what areas should be improved through environmentally-friendly ways to create natural outdoor spaces in apartment complexes and enhance their availability and usefulness. For this study, 21 environmentally-friendly factors were chosen and a checklist by specific item was prepared. This study examine how these items were applied to basic planning, detail design, and construction in 4 target areas. As a result, it was found that the development of environmentally-friendly residential areas was an ultimate goal of the project during basic planning and design. All target areas focused on developing an inner greens network, eco-pond, brook, and pedestrian track as well as the growth of a variety of plants. Some differences have been observed, however, in terms of method. Furthermore, due to economic and technological problems and poor construction site conditions, green walls/green roofs/pedestrian tracks/use of rainwater have not been properly promoted. These kinds of problems must be improved through the development of environmentally-friendly construction methods and materials, the expansion of natural grounds areas, economic support, a satisfactory repair and maintenance system.
