Default Bayesian testing for the scale parameters in two parameter exponential distributions

  • In this paper, we consider the problem of testing the equality of the scale parameters in two parameter exponential distributions. We propose Bayesian testing procedures for the equality of the scale parameters under the noninformative priors. The noninformative prior is usually improper which yields a calibration problem that makes the Bayes factor to be defined up to a multiplicative constant. Thus, we propose the default Bayesian testing procedures based on the fractional Bayes factor and the intrinsic Bayes factors under the reference priors. Simulation study and an example are provided.

  • In this study, to evaluate the slope and tunnel stabilization method using pc cable with bulbed. To estimate the application of tunnel support using field tests and numerical analysis results. The reinforcement effects of slope stabilization method reinforced by PC cables were estimated compared with conventional soil nail system that reinforce the slope using rebar.

  • It's essential to measure electrical signals of Korea tilting train "Hanvit 200" during operation, Because we need to study operation characteristics of new electric "Hanvit 200" and we want to develop diagnosis system of main circuit of Korea tilting train "Hanvit 200". So, we measure electrical signals for developing diagnosis system of "Hanvit 200" during operation. We measure voltage and current of the primary winding of main transformer and analyze then. In result, we know that each operation mode has specific waveform and frequency. In addition, we also measure arc currents and arc voltage and we know that are of each situations has specific waveform of pattern.

  • Zinc oxide is a direct band gap wurtzite-type semiconductor with band gap energy of 3.37eV at room temperature. the n-type doped ZnO oxides, B doped ZnO (BZO) is widely studied in TCOs materials as it shows good electrical, optical, and luminescent properties. we focused on the fabrication of B doped ZnO films with glass substrate using the LSMCD at low temperature. And Novel boron-doped ZnO thin films were deposited and characterized from the structural, optical, electrical point of view. The structure, morphology, and optical properties of the films were studied as a function of by employing the XRD, SEM, Hall system and micro Raman system.

  • This paper presents the design of Fuzzy PI controller that is used at BESS(Battery Energy Storage System) charging and discharging process for islanded operation in microgrid. Most of the PI controllers have fixed PI gains, but real-time updated gains are applied to PI controller using Fuzzy logic in this paper. The performances of suggested Fuzzy PI controller are simulated by PSCAD/EMTDC. As a result, output characteristics of ESS applied real-time updated gains to PI controller are faster than those of using fixed gains.

  • This paper shows the form of the optimal solution and how to minimize energy of train driving control using SA(simulated annealing). In this paper, we consider the case where a train is to be driven by automatic operation mode along a non-constant gradient, curve and with speed limits. Using the combinational optimal technique, SA, we constructed optimal train driving strategy.

  • The function of the automatic train operation(ATO) system is to regulate the train ride comfort during start, acceleration and deceleration and execute operation of constant speed travelling and fixed point parking. The mathematical model for the train is presented by considering unknown disturbances which consist of start resistance, travelling resistance, slope resistance, curve resistance and so on. The speed control of ATO system is designed by considering the disturbances. The simulation is executed to verify the speed control performance and compare its performance with that of a PID-type ATO control system under the disturbances. Simulation results show that the control performance of gain scheduled control for ATO system is better than that of the conventional PID controller.

  • Tilt-up construction is the method that the wall structures are fabricated horizontally on site and placed at specified location using heavy lifting equipment. Tilt-up method generally has several advantages, such as of productivity improvement, labor savings, shortened the construction period the and cost savings. In this study, Tilt-up method is used for wall construction of detached house. Result shores the substantial improvement on construction period. The use of Tilt-up method led construction period reduction of 20%.
