  • The purpose of this study is to examine high school students' perception of male home economics teachers and identify diverse viewpoints. To this end, the Q method was used, which is useful for operant subjectivity studies in which research participants create their own opinions and viewpoints. Based on the general procedures of the Q method, this study finalized 40 statements comprised of the representational system of high school students on male home economics teachers, which are Q samples, from the Q population. The statements were Q-sorted by P samples comprised of 31 high school seniors and analyzed using the QUANL program. The results showed that there were 4 different viewpoints of high school students on male home economics teachers. The type 1 focused on individual traits, claiming that the 'male' gender of home economics teachers and the 'home economics' subject are merely individual traits of the teachers. The type 2 focused on the subject, perceiving male home economics teachers with focus on the subject of home economics. The type 3 focused on competencies, thinking that male home economics teachers have sufficient skills and competencies to teach home economics. Finally, the type 4 focused on character, valuing the character of the teachers and thinking that male home economics teachers are great teachers who took up the challenge of teaching home economics. This study has significance as it provides the basic data for in-depth understanding of students' perception of male home economics teachers in individual context.

  • It is not easy to predict the future society in the rapidly changing present, but it is said that a new social environment of sensibility and virtuality will come, and we should pay attention to the fact that women have entered this as the subject. This study is a literature review study on gender roles. Through the study, it was found that gender stereotypes that exist in our society allow men to enjoy a lot of vested rights just by being male, and that women have to endure pain because they are women is accepted as a matter of course. Living in the 21st century, we were able to know the reality that we could not escape the pre-modern patriarchal ideology and still worshiped the idea of preferring boys. Through this study, unlike other elderly groups, elderly people who live alone are likely to be cut off from society and lead a limited life in their own world. However, through the efforts of the government, local organizations, and individuals, the goal of welfare for the elderly is to increase the satisfaction of life for the elderly living alone so that they can enjoy a successful old age. From this point of view, the support measures for the elderly living alone will be effective only when systematic and complementary in various dimensions such as family structure, physical, economic, and social aspects.

Discrimination, disparagement, taboos for divorce and remarriage, and stereotypes about gender roles of women still exist within the church, therefore, Christianity must provide an alternative solutions solutions.

Searching for a Curriculum to Reconceptualize Sexuality for Youth Sex Education : Nth Room Era, New Talk of 'Body' and 'Sex' from a Feminist Theological Point of View (청소년 성교육을 위한 성성(性性)의 재개념화 커리큘럼 모색 : N번방 시대, 여성신학적 관점에서 '몸'과 '성'을 새롭게 이야기하다)

  • The researcher looked at the differences in views and various controversies surrounding Korean youth sexuality education in the wake of the Nth Room incident, which had a great impact on modern Korean society. Sex education for adolescents in Korea can be divided into public sex education through school sex education and the Youth Sexuality Center, and conservative/traditional Protestant sex education. Public sex education is partly influenced by feminist sexual ethics and comprehensive sex education abroad. Based on gender sensitivity and the right to sexual self-determination, four major projects are prevention of sexual harassment, prostitution, sexual violence, and domestic violence. However, the school sex education standard was criticized for stereotypes of gender roles and gender-discriminatory content, reinforced distorted myths about sexual violence, and exclusion of sexual diversity and various family types. Conservative/traditional Protestantism is based on the normal family ideology such as bisexual marriage, premarital chastity, and sexual ethics recognized only within marital relationships. It is a form of confrontation with public sex education while strongly opposing it. The researcher first analyzed the characteristics of public sex education, conservative/traditional Protestant sexual ethics and sex education, feminist sex ethics and sex education, and overseas youth sex education, respectively, while composing the curriculum for Korean youth sexuality education. And as a more fundamental solution to youth sexuality education, I pointed out that there are limits to asceticism, premarital chastity, gender sensitivity and sexual self-determination education, and found an alternative to the concept of body and sex in feminist theology. The researcher pointed out that it is necessary to reconceptualize the body and sex under the recognition that the most fundamental cause of distorted sexual culture is dualistic sex and understanding the body, centering on the research of various feminist theologians. And this was conceptualized into three concepts: holistic sexuality, mutual solidarity understood in relationships with others, and sexuality as a spirituality that extends to the global community. And with each curriculum, 1) Holistic Sexuality: Breathing, Narrative, Making the Shape of One's Body and Mind 2) mutual solidarity : Feeling the Breath of Others, Media Literacy through Conscientization, Sending a Good Wind 3) Sexuality as a spirituality that extends to global concern: It was proposed to pay attention to nature and to co-cultivate it, to listen to the earth's moans and create a new way of life, and to write a prayer with the earth and fellow living beings.

  • The dissolution and reconstruction of the male-centered social structure is being requested, but the Korean church still call on women and understand women's roles by limiting them based on traditional 'normal family ideology' and matherhood discourse. However, considering women's various aspects of life, life cycle, and individuality, confining women to existing biological maternal discourse is not suitable to help women grow as subjective leaders and contribute to society. The Korean church needs to find a new curriculum that encourages women to form subjective beliefs. In the life of Christian women of the period of port-opening, we can examine the process of the Korean Christian women establishing the subjectivity of the challenges of Protestant theology, which included stereotypes, gender division of labor, and matherhood discourse. Korean Christian women shared the oppressive experiences of traditional patriarchy after passing silent and receptive perceptions, forming a subjective perception of their injustice and seeking liberation. And it was able to act as a subject of faith by forming a procedural and constructive awareness within a sympathetic and relational community. The Korean church should reconstruct the Christian women's curriculum by reflecting on the curriculum that women formed themselves over 100 years ago.

  • The term 'noble savage' is a literary stock character that expresses the concept of an idealized person who has not been corrupted by civilization, and therefore symbolizes humanity's innate goodness. Fictional noble savage characters that are raised by wild animals such as Rudiard Kipling's Mowgli or Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan were created over 100 years ago but are still repeatedly reproduced as movies and TV series. Since films that depict noble savages tend to criticize civilization, popularity of these film could be due to the hidden anxiety of masses towards civilization and technology. Characters in commercial films about noble savages tend to be leveled, sharpened, and assimilated as Allport and Postman argued in The Psychology of Rumor. It is probably because films, as mass medium, need to be understood easily to the public. Characters in animations with cartoon style images are more likely to be leveled, sharpened, and assimilated even further than live-actions. Films show social stereotype of the time through assimilation process. Comparing different versions of film based on the same novel about noble savage how those social stereotypes such as gender roles and idea of evil change.

  • The purpose of this study was to provide educational data on teaching clothing culture by examining the effects of clothing lifestyle on attitudes toward teachers' clothing for 270 secondary school pre-service teachers. For data analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's α reliability coefficients, t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, Duncan's multiple comparison verification, and multiple regression analysis were performed using SPSS 24.0 program. As a result of the study, first, the clothing lifestyle of secondary school pre-service teachers was classified as fashion trend orientation, clothing importance orientation, attractive appearance orientation, and economic orientation factors. In addition, the attitude toward teacher's clothes was classified into activity, fashionability, and modesty factors. Second, there was a statistically significant difference in the attitudes toward clothing lifestyle and teacher clothing of secondary school pre-service teachers according to gender and year in college, which are demographic variables. Third, it was found that the clothing lifestyle of secondary school pre-service teachers, who are Generation Z, had an effect on the attitude toward teacher clothes. In conclusion, this study proposes that school administrators and teachers should depart from the former stereotypes about teacher clothes and to encourage a culture in which teachers can dress and perform their role of teaching according to individual's changing lifestyles.
