  • Structural Dynamics Modification is very effective technique to improve structure's dynamic characteristics by adding or removing auxiliary structures, changing material property, changing shape of structure. In this research, using the surface grooving technique, shape of base structure was changed to improve its first natural frequency. Utilizing the result of sensitivity analysis, groove shape was formed gathering the many small embossing elements. For this process, Sensitivity Criterion Factor was introduced. To reduce its amount of calculation, the range of target area was restricted to their neighboring area and that result was very successful.

  • According to the need for objectivity and convenience the whole planning process is devided into a secries of 8 systematic stages. But it is an unending upward spiral of incremented efforts toward improvement. So many activities should be carried out concurrently, providing a mutual supportive flow back and forth between various stages of the process depending on local conditions and requirements. The eight stages are: (1) Planning the Planning and Developing Planning Competence (2) Statements of Policy and Broad Goals (3) Data Gathering (4) Priority Statement (5) Statement of Major Alternative Proposals (6) Development of Detailed Plan (7) Implementation as a Part of the Planning Process (8) Evaluation The frame and function of the planning machinery must be adjusted to local conditions, and also flexibility is desirable, especially at the start, when adaptations are more necessary and more frequent.

  • The automatic pinhole detection system is described. The goal of this project is to study the feasibility test of the new concept for hole detection. The developed method is able to detect almost 50$\mu\textrm{m}$ pinhole by evaluating the shining of the light as if there is pinhole in the strip. Moreover, it is possible to inspect up to the 200$\mu\textrm{m}$ inclined pinhole. The system cosists of three main functional parts: the source part of the light which is using the linear halogen lamp, the image gathering part which is using a line CCD and the image processing part. The light spot can be controlled and optimized corresponding to the situation of the strip. To eliminate back ground noise, the binary image processing method is adopted.

  • It is the real circumstance in the country that not only the data and special books but also people who have an expert knowledge are short of the field of the study about plastic wastes, so that to build the Database carrying out gathering info of that is the present question obviously. The business on recycling plastic, for some reason or other, is one of the best ways as called bright prospect industry to prevent environmental pollution and obtain economical outcome by using limited resources. Plastic wastes with construction industry especially using Polymer may have a good effect on the environment and human beings and have a fine view to produce functional and Eco-friendly concrete as well. In this study, Chemical resistance and Water Absorption test in Polymer concrete using bentonite as a shrinkage control agent was made an experiment by comparing with influence on concrete strength and used to offer some valuable data about Polymer concrete.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a vehicle internal alarm system using raspberry-pie and gas sensor. It provides a notification system for sleepiness during driving, a driving time notification system and a smoking detection system. We coded using 'Python'. And we use 'MySQL' and 'PHP' to build the necessary servers and web pages for gathering sensing data and monitoring. The developed system was tested by several methods. All experiments showed satisfactory response signals and detected with immediate responses.

  • The purpose of this research is to examination whether End-User Computing relative factors are ap-plied in Computer Assisted Reporting. Computer Assisted Reporting is closely related to End-User Computing, because IT and IS be used by reporting for data gathering and analysis. For the purpose, we've produced a survey, and then studied the effects of the use of Computer Assisted Reporting tools on the report's satisfaction and job performance. As a result, The degree of use of Computer Assisted Reporting significantly affects the degree of satisfaction and job performance. for this reason, this research can give an insight for the extension of End-User Computing relative research.

Needs for Shared Community Spaces and Housing Consciousness among Apartment Housing Dwellers (주의식과 주민전용 공동공간에 대한 요구)

  • This study explores the patterns of housing-related attitudes and the kind of needs for shared community spaces among small-sized apartment housing dwellers. The major findings are as follows. The majority of the dwellers are in a strong need of common spaces. especially for children's activities. social gathering and physical exercises. Housing consciousness can be grouped into 4 categories the propensity to making up common society. the propensity to pursuing the quality of neighborhood. the propensity to orienting natural environment. and the propensity to participating in community. Families with children in primary school are more likely to get involved in the community and the common society than those with children in high school or those in the stage of launching a family. The propensity to making up common society and pursing the quality of neighborhood have stronger impact on needs for shared community space. This study reveals that the sense of community orientation is the most powerful predictor variable for shared community space needs.

  • A static frequency converter(SFC) in a pumped storage power plant is important equipment for converting electric motor kinetic energy into electric Bower. A SFC monitoring system consists of high voltage thyristor firing equipment, fault detection module, data gathering module, real time data processing equipment and man machine Interface system. This paper describes SFC system overview, developed SFC monitoring system configuration including system characteristics. and successful application result to San-Cheong pumped storage power plant.

  • In this paper, ultrsonic detection properties at a premolde joint utilized in a 23kV cables are studied. In a experiment a artificial defect within a joint and a measuring system are builded for generating discharges, gathering data about a detection properties, respectively. The experiment results show that one point detection is not allowed for monitoring a global status of a joint discharges and a detection sensitivity is less than 100pC. And also the attenuation and wave speed at the material of joint insulator are obtained.

  • Advances in hardware and wireless network technologies have placed us at the doorstep of a new era where small wireless devices will provide access to information anytime, anywhere as well as actively participate in creating smart environments. In this paper, we propose location-aware clustering method in wireless sensor networks. Previous clustering algorithm assumes that all nodes know its own location by GPS. But, it is unrealistic because of GPS module cost and large energy consumption. So, we operate localization ahead of cluster set-up phase. And Considering node density and geographic information, Cluster Heads are elected uniformly. Moreover, communication between CHs is prolonged network lifetime.
