The stability analysis of current mode controller considering feedback element (피드백 요소를 고려한 전류모드 제어기의 안정도해석)

  • Recently the power supply equipments have tendency to take multiple feedback loop paths. In this paper, the state space averaging technique is applied for the analysis of flyback type current mode control circuit. We made real converter for the gurantee of stable output characteristic and proper design of feedback circuit. The validity of proposed method is verified from test results. The improvement of stability is confirmed by sinusoidal signal injection method with isolated transformer. It is known that phase margin is sufficient and gain crossover frequency $f_c$, is nearly 1/5 of switching frequency $f_s$, from the experimental result with frequency response analyzer.

Design of the Novel DVB-H Antenna for the Folder-Type Mobile Handheld Terminal

  • We have proposed a novel DVB-H(Digital Video Broadcast for Handheld) antenna for folder-type mobile handheld terminal by using a coupling element, a stub, and an L-type matching circuit. The L-type matching circuit consisting of two chip inductors is used for achieving an improved impedance matching over the DVB-H frequency band ($470{\sim}702\;MHz$). Simulated results showed the stub worked to more knot the lower and upper frequency ends of the input impedance curve. The antenna exhibits a flat gain characteristic from 2 to 2.8 dBi over the DVB-H frequency band. The radiation patterns are a stable Figure-of-eight radiation pattern in the frequency range.

Design of Small CRPA Arrays with Circular Microstrip Loops for Electromagnetically Coupled Feed

  • This paper proposes a design of small controlled reception pattern antenna (CRPA) arrays using circular microstrip loops with frequency-insensitive characteristics. The proposed array consists of seven identical upper and lower circular loops that are electromagnetically coupled, which results in a frequency-insensitive behavior. To demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed feeding mechanism, the proposed array is fabricated, and its antenna characteristics are measured in a full-anechoic chamber. The operating principle of the proposed feeding mechanism is then interpreted using an equivalent circuit model, and the effectiveness of the circular loop shape is demonstrated by calculating near electromagnetic fields in proximity to the radiator. The results confirm that the proposed feeding mechanism is suitable to have frequency-insensitive behavior and induces strong electric and magnetic field strengths for higher radiation gain in extremely small antenna arrays.

  • This paper presents modeling and analysis of static and dynamic characteristics in three phase PWM Boost AC-AC converter used for input voltage sag compensation of custom power. Especially, using circuit DQ transformation technique, an equivalent circuit in fundamental frequency domain is obtained which has all the system characteristics. Moreover, voltage gain and input power factor is analytically induced and linearized state equation at the specific operating point is given. Finally, PSIM simulation results show the validity of the Nosed modelling and analyses.

Advanced SOGI-FLL Scheme Based on Fuzzy Logic for Single-Phase Grid-Connected Converters

  • This paper proposes a frequency-locked loop (FLL) scheme for a single-phase grid-connected converter. A second-order generalized integrator (SOGI) based on fuzzy logic (FL) is applied to this converter to achieve precise phase angle detection. The use of this method enables the compensation of the nonlinear characteristic of the frequency error, which is defined in the SOGI scheme as the variation of the central frequency through the self-tuning gain. With the proposed scheme, the performance of the SOGI-FLL is further improved at the grid disturbances, which results in the stable operation of the grid converter under grid voltage sags or frequency variation. The PSIM simulation and experimental results are shown to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Cognitive Radio (CR) technology is proposed for using the unused spectrum band efficiently because of the spectrum scarcity problems. Spectrum sensing is one of the most challenging issues in cognitive radio system. In this paper, we focus on the signal detection of WiBro system band. As most of the modulated signals can be treated as cyclostationary random process, we can detect the signal of the OFDM signals in WiBro system. OFDM symbols using WiBro system have several pilot subcarriers and periodic pilots have cyclostationary characteristic. To improve of the detection performance, we get diversity gain using multiple antennas.

  • In this study, we investigated the characteristics of the input impedance and the gain of a ‘Folded dipole antenna with stub’ by the Method of Moments. The center frequency in this study is 200MHz, the radius of wire is 0.5nm, and the distance between two linear dipoles is 2cm. The inside variation of stub length within 18cm and the outside variation of stub length 4.5cm ive the value of SWR(Standing Wave Ratio) within 3. This means that the impedance matching between the ‘Folded dipole antenna with stub’ and receiver can easily be performed without a supplementary matching circuit.

  • In this study, as the passing of a year, the changes of tidal flat area in Seohan Bay, North Korea was monitored through using Landsat ETM Data and the ancient topological map. The map to present tidal flat distribution characteristic based on the ancient topographical map (1918) was constructed as GIS DB. In addition, a tidal flat distribution map was estimated by using the satellite images with unsupervised classification method. Even though it is difficult to approach to study area, it was possible to gain the data and to monitor the change of the coast tidal flat by comparing to area change yielded.

  • In this paper, the $CF_{4}$ decomposition rate are investigated for a simulated three plasma reactors which are metal particle reactor, spiral wire reactor and reactor with porous dielectric as applied voltage. The $CF_{4}$ decomposition rate by plasma reactor with porous dielectric had a gain of 20~25[%] over that by plasma reactor with spiral wire or metal particle electrode. The $CF_{4}$ decomposition efficiency increases with increasing applied voltage up to the critical voltage for spark formation. The $CF_{4}$ decomposition efficiency of metal particle reactor was about 80[%] at AC 24[kV]. However, decomposition efficiency is more than 90% in case of the reactor with porous dielectric. we think, the reactor with porous dielectric should be much better than other reactors for $CF_{4}$ decomposition.
