Performances Comparison of Compact Network RTK User Based on Modelling of Multiple Reference Station Corrections (다중 기준국 보정정보 모델링 방식에 따른 Compact Network RTK 사용자 성능 비교)

  • In this paper, the performances of modeling methods for combining corrections from multiple reference stations for network user were compared and analyzed. The longer the distance between reference station and user is, the more the GPS errors are decorrelated. Based on this point, multiple corrections from reference stations which is constituting a network should be combined properly to be applied for user observation to eliminate GPS errors. There are many widely used conventional modeling methods and they are applied for Compact Network RTK users and user position accuracy is predicted by using residual errors in observation of user. Compact Network RTK is a technique of generating corrections which was developed by Seoul National University. As a result, the horizontal and vertical accuracies were within about 5 cm and 7 cm respectively with 95 % probability for all conventional modeling methods. In addition, we analyzed condition for reference station constellation for modeling method using height information.

A Study on the Development of AVCS(Airside Vehicle Control System) in Gimpo Airport Based on RTK-GPS (RTK-GPS 기반의 김포공항 이동지역 차량통제 시스템 개발방안 연구)

  • The development of Airside Vehicle Control System(AVCS) at Gimpo Airport aims to reduce ground safety accidents in movement area and improve airport operation efficiency and safety management service quality. The vehicle is controlled by a brake controller RTK-antenna and On-Board Diagonostics(OBD) module. Location data is transmitted to a nearby communication base station through a Wi-Fi router and the base station is connected to the AVCS by an optical cable to transmit location data from each vehicle. The vehicle position is precisely corrected to display information using the system. The system allows airport operators to view registered information on aircraft and vehicles and monitor their locations speeds and directions in real time. When a vehicle approaches a dangerous area alarm warnings and remote brake control are possible to prevent accidents caused by carelessness of the driver in advance.

  • We demonstrated positioning accuracy of iRTK system, which has been developed by Korea Astronomy Observatory, using a low-price GPS receiver. Each four different baseline positioning tests using the iRTK system, we certified 1-3 meters level positioning accuracy of the iRTK system. While the iRTK is similar to conventional RTK at coverage and accuracy, the iRTK positioning carried out from data processing center. And also, the iRTK system has no limit of data communication coverage because of using wire/wireless Internet. But the iRTK system has a weakness of short available coverage within 5km. Therefore we discussed a plan to adopt VRS (Virtual Reference System) as completion of the iRTK system preparing nation-wide iRTK service in near future.

  • The conventional RTK-GPS technique has many problems which are permission using RF wireless modem, influence of geographic obstacle using radio wave, frequency interference, finiteness of frequency resources. To solve these problems, in this paper, we designed the DGPS correction message transmission system as a method to substitute the RF wireless modem of RTK-DGPS receiver. Then the interface module was designed and implemented for linkage of GPS receiver and mobile phone. As a result worked differential surveying using receiving correction message using RS-232C and communication control, users of mobile station were worked differential surveying correction between mobile phones. Interface module system was received the same result of precision which was compared RF wireless modem system.

  • Space-Based Augmentation System (SBAS), which is one of the GPS augmentation systems, is a Wide-Area Differential GPS that provides differential GPS corrections and integrity data. In this study, we did performance analysis of kinematic SBAS surveying by conducting Real-Time Kinematic (RTK), DGPS, standalone, and SBAS surveys. Considering static survey results as truth, 2-D Root Mean Square (RMS) error and 3-D RMS error were computed to evaluate the positioning accuracy of each survey method. As a result, the 3-D positioning error of RTK was 13.1cm, DGPS 126.0cm, standalone (L1/L2) 135.7cm, standalone (C/A) 428.9cm, and SBAS 109.2cm. The results showed that the positioning accuracy of SBAS was comparable to that of DGPS.

  • In this study we investigate japan VRS system comparing VRS and RTK. and real time VRS surveying and RTK-GPS surveying field test. The pilot VRS surveying project have been done to verify a new technology accuracy and efficiency and we also derived future research and work in korea from that studying.

  • GPS의 민간수요에 따른 응용분야가 날로 증가함에 따라 중저가 GPS 수신기를 이용한 실시간 정밀측위 기술의 필요성이 점차 부각되고 있다. 이에 한국천문연구원은 iRTK 기법을 이용한 준 실시간 정밀측위 시스템을 개발한 바 있다. 반송파 위상데이터를 이용한 정밀측위는 모호수를 결정해야하는 어려움이 있고 특히 짧은 시간 내에 정확한 모호수를 찾는 것은 쉽지 않다. 본 연구는 한국천문연구원이 개발한 iRTK시스템의 자료처리능력을 향상시키기 위한 것으로 실시간 모호수 결정 알고리즘 개발에 중점을 두었다. 이를 위해 2003년 7월부터 9월 사이에 실험이 이루어졌고 중저가 GPS 수신기를 이용해 측정한 데이터를 모호수 결정 알고리즘으로 구한 값과 이미 알고 있는 정밀좌표 값을 비교 분석하였다. 새로운 모호수 결정 알고리즘을 이용해 구한 결과 값이 기존의 iRTK시스템 결과보다 정밀하고 안정적으로 산출됨을 알 수 있었다. 개선된 모호수 결정 알고리즘은 iRTK시스템의 준 실시간 자료처리부분에 적용할 수 있도록 보완할 것이다.

A Study on the Analysis of Risk Factor on Highway Alignment Using RTK GPS (RTK GPS를 이용한 도로선형 위험요소 분석에 관한 연구)

  • At a recent, with an increase of traffic demand and a spread of automobile culture, the safety, convenience and speed of highway is required. On this study, using the real time kinematic GPS, observation value at a center line of ready-built road is obtained and then design specification of highway, IP, IA and R are obtained by least square method. Using those IP, IA and R, we analysed the risk factor of highway alignment by the standard for structure and facility of the road. With using RTK GPS, we could analyse dangerous element of highway alignment rapidly and cope with dangerous area of the existing road. It is also proved to apply availably whether we determine alignment improvement is needed or not or analyze source of accident related with alignment in the region having a high traffic accident rate.

  • Many of the traffic accidents on roads are a result of alignment defect of the roads. This alignment of the road needs to lie analyzed with accuracy for improving design of road, and it needs the design drawing of road, and coordinates of the main point. Accordingly, in this study the precision of location based on existing design drawing was compared with the data acquired by the combination of RTK GPS/GLONASS. The result of study is included within range 5cm, we would like to propose an effective and useful approach method to utilize the satellite for road alignment information system by evaluating the represented road alignment.

  • Now, GPS survey is used on equipment from leisure to precise geodetic survey and nation admits the result of GPS survey. When surveyors perform precise GPS survey, they use post processing method but they greatly use real time processing method to consider field status. Especially, when surveyors measure the result of moving target, they use real time GPS survey to the best method. For this study, the author precisely surveyed distance of ship launching from shipyard on real time using real time precise GPS method. In this paper, the author compares and examines the accuracy of first real time precise GPS survey method nationally and the capability on use. And the author performed real time precise GPS survey in NOKBONG and 21C shipyard positioning at GEOJEDO.
