Road traffic-related environment problems has become now serious problem common in the urban life throughout the world. In this study, a GIS-supported evaluation system has been developed for dealing with the road traffic-related environment problems, especially focusing on air Pollution in the urban areas. The developed system consists lof three essential parts: GIS; traffic-related air pollution simulation model; and the database for potential strategies. In establishing the simulation model, a GIS-supported environment can provide a useful tool for handling a wide range of data characterizing study areas and for preparing more accurate estimation on real locations. Such roles of the GIS-supported system can be helpful to more efficient analysis and more reasonable decision-makings. As a preliminary stage in developing the system, the metropolitan area of Cairo in Egypt was applying into being as a Pilot study to test the Potentiality of the prototype system.

Using GIS, animal clinic's spatial distribution characteristics were analyzed. Animal clinic location data was collected through the Internet's Open API service. Approximately 4,100 animal clinics are operated in South Korea in 2011. And 47 % of these are located in the Seoul area. Population, especially female population and apartment resident's ratio affects the location factor of the animal clinic. The number of 25~44 year-old woman and animal clinics are high correlation. In the animal clinic location, distance from the road is more important than the distance of the metro.

This study has the purpose of suggesting the method to analyze the spatiotemporal change of satisfaction concerning the officially assessed land price using geostatistical analysis. Analyzing the spatial distribution characteristic of officially assessed land price using present GIS (Geographic Information System) or is staying at qualitatively suggesting the improvement method of the officially assessed land price system. Grouping the appeal strength based on the official price and opinion price of officially assessed land price, GIS DB (Database) was constructed and the time seriate satisfaction were analyzed and compared through spatial density analysis and spatial autocorrelation analysis. As a result, it was found that the difference between the official price and the applicant's price differed depending on individual land, but most of the respondents requested the increase or the reduction of the average land price, which resulted in a large number of request. Analyzing the satisfaction of the officially assessed land price by using GIS, it was known that satisfaction of officially assessed land price could be analyzed by using the difference of the opinion price and not only the officially assessed land price. Spatiotemporal change of officially assessed land price satisfaction was known to be possible through spatiotemporal pattern analysis method such as spatiotemporal auto-corelation analysis and hotspot analysis etc using GIS. In short, regionally positive or negative significant relationship was investigated through spatiotemporal analysis using annual data.

Cellular Automata(CA) have been investigated and utilized as a theoretical framework and/or methodology for analyzing and simulating the properties and behaviors of many complex systems in various physical science and engineering field. Due to the conceptual elegance and effectiveness of implementing spatio-temporal dynamic models and the compatibility with raster GISs, recently a variety of modeling works using both CA and GIS have been published in GIS fields Most of spatial dynamic models introduced in previous research, however, were very limited and furthermore integrated CA-GIS system for practical modeling purpose are not developed yet. This study aims to develop an integrated CA-GIS system in which a CA simulator is used as an analytical engine for GIS providing a multipurpose spatial dynamic modeling functionalities. This integrated CA-GIS system is anticipated radically enhancing the current lacking dynamic modeling functionalities of GIS and being utilized as an powerful and effective tool for practical spatial dynamic modeling research.

세균성 이질은 국내 제1종 법정 전염병으로 분류되어 관리되고 있는 질환으로서 1998년 이후 그 발병 사례가 급속히 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 1999년 3월 부산시 사상구에서 집단 발병한 세균성 이질을 대상으로 하여, 각 환자들의 발병 시점과 장소의 분포패턴에 대한 지리학적 고찰을 목적으로 한다. 환자분포의 특징적 공간패턴과 그들의 시계열적 확산 양상 등을 탐색하기 위한 방법론은 보건지리학과 지도학 및 공간통계학에 기반을 둔 공간분석기법을 중심으로 설정하였다. 분석자료는 해당 지역의 수치지형도, 지적도, 인구 센서스 자료를 포함한 GIS 데이터베이스로 구축되었다. 인구분포를 감안한 밀도구분도를 바탕으로 개별환자의 위치자료와 동 단위로 집계된 자료를 자료의 형태에 따라 분석기법을 달리하였으며, 환자 발생 밀도, 상대적 위험지수 등을 지도화하여 역학자료의 시각적 통계적 분석을 수행하였다. 환자분포의 공간적 중심위치와 분산의 변화 등 기술적 통계분석과 함께 제1차 공간속성을 커널추정법으로 찾아보았다. 이와 더불어 ‘공간적 의존성’과 관련된 제2차 공간속성은 K-함수와 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석하여 군집성 등이 통계적으로 확인되었다. 본 연구를 통해 역학조사시 GIS의 활용사례가 제시되었으며, 모집단 인구를 고려한 확률지도 작성 기법과 다양한 데이터 가시화 방법, 그리고 시계열별 발생 환자들의 지리적 변이를 분석 하는데 따르는 문제들이 논의되었다.

The main objective of the paper is to develop a GIS-based method for delineating spatial clusters. Major tasks are: (i) to devise a sustainable algorithm with reference to various methods developed in the fields of geographic boundary analysis and cluster detection; (ii) to develop a GIS-based program to implement the algorithm. The main results are as follows. First, it is recognized that the AMOEBA technique utilizing LISA is the best candidate. Second, a modified version of the AMOEBA technique is proposed and implemented in a GIS environment. Third, the validity and usefulness of the modified AMOEBA algorithm is assured by its applications to test and real data sets.

For a long time, the ocean was regarded as unknown area ruled by god, consequently, not so much things were developed in scientific methods and activities. Despite a rapid development of geographic information systems(GIS) marine and ocean fields still remained in the scope of traditional tools and intuitive experiences by the late of 1990. However, land based concepts and technology models require additional customization to apply GIS effectively in marine domains, which are resulted from her dynamic, complex and seamless massive nature. This paper gives a brief review of marine spatial data characteristics and also presents strategic approaches to meet the unique marine GIS requirements.

많은 지리자료에 대한 효율적이고 효과적인 검색 및 다양한 지리자료 데이터 포맷에 대한 데이터 변환에 드는 비용을 최소화하기 위해 지리자료의 공유, 즉 상호운용(Interoperability)에 대한 필요성이 제기되었으며 이를 위한 표준의 하나로 OpenGIS라는 표준이 만들어지고 있다. OpenGIS는 기존의 표준과는 다른 광범위하고 미래지향적인 특징으로 인해 실질적인 GIS 표준으로 자리잡아 가고 있는 실정이지만, 국내에서는 OpenGIS 구현명세에 대한 체계적인 연구 및 여러 GIS 서버를 대상으로 한 실제구현 사례가 거의 없는 실정이다. 이 논문에서는 컴포넌트 기반의 분산환경에 가장 근접해 있는 OpenGIS OLE/COM 구현명세에 대한 분석을 통해 Gothic, MGE, Oracle에 적용하기 위한 OGIS 데이터 제공자의 설계 및 이를 바탕으로 상호운용을 달성하기 위한 OpenGIS 미들웨어의 설계를 제시한다.

As Internet CIS technology keeps improving dramatically, its use on ordinary people is widely expanded. Informatization of local government is accelerated by the introduction of e-government policy with the purpose of providing public information to the citizen. According to this, construction of Internet homepage is increasing very rapidly by each department of local government. However, the public information service using Internet GIS is very limited. In this study, we propose how to provide the regional information by using Internet GIS by analyzing the following cases; 1) homepages using GIS technology in public and private sectors in case of Seoul, 2) homepages using GIS of foreign local governments, 3) the Seoul Metropolitan government' tasks and data which are important in terms of information service to the citizen. In results of the analysis, we propose a strategic plan of construction of Internet CIS homepage.

The purpose of this paper is to quantitatively measure the effect of location in evaluating the land value through the implementation of GIS coupled with spatial statistical analysis. We assumed that the hedonic price model, which was commonly used in modelling the land value, could not explain the spatial factor effectively. In order to add the spatial factor, the analysis of the spatial autocorrelation was used. The present project used 54 standard land price samples from 1421 parcel land values and applied Kriging to predict stochastically the unsampled values on the basis of spatial autocorrelation between location of vector data. This study confirms that the spatial variogram analysis has an advantage of predicting spatial dependence process and revealing the positive premium and the negative penality on location factor objectively.
