해상테러 위험요소의 구조와 우선순위 분석 (An Analysis on Structure of Risk Factor for Maritime Terrorism using FSM and AHP)

  • 신세계는 테러리스트에 의한 세계무역센터의 공격으로 인해 테러로부터의 안전과 보호를 강화하기 위해 초점이 맞추어져 있다. 본 연구는 해상테러 위험요소의 구조와 우선순위를 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 테러의 유형과 사례를 토대로 브레인스토밍법을 이용하여 해상테러 위험요소를 추출하였고, 퍼지구조모델법을 이용하여 위험요소를 그래프로 구조화 하였으며, 계층분석법을 이용하여 위험요소간의 우선순위를 분석하였다. 그 결과 외부영향이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다.

  • A subsea oil production system must be safely operated for 20-30 years after being installed. Because of the severe conditions of the subsea environment, such as extreme high pressure, low visibility, the possibility of unexpected impact by any object, and corrosion by seawater, subsea oil production systems should be monitored by subsea data logger systems and remotely operated vehicles to check for abnormal vibration and leakage to prevent a catastrophic accident. Because of the severity of subsea environmental conditions and the dominance of a few companies in the market, many people have thought that it would be difficult to develop a subsea data logger system. The primary objectives of the study described in this paper were to analyze existing subsea data logger systems to establish the requirements for a subsea data logger system, implement a prototype subsea data logger system, and conduct a test of the prototype subsea data logger system.

Synchronization of Dynamical Happiness Model

  • Chaotic dynamics is an active research area in fields such as biology, physics, sociology, psychology, physiology, and engineering. Interest in chaos is also expanding to the social sciences, such as politics, economics, and societal events prediction. Most people pursue happiness, both spiritual and physical in many cases. However, happiness is not easy to define, because people differ in how they perceive it. Happiness can exist in mind and body. Therefore, we need to be happy in both simultaneously to achieve optimal happiness. To do this, we need to synchronize mind and body. In this paper, we propose a chaotic synchronization method in a mathematical model of happiness organized by a second-order ordinary differential equation with external force. This proposed mathematical happiness equation is similar to Duffing's equation, because it is derived from that equation. We introduce synchronization method from our mathematical happiness model by using the derived Duffing equation. To achieve chaotic synchronization between the human mind and body, we apply an idea of mind/body unity originating in Oriental philosophy. Of many chaotic synchronization methods, we use only coupled synchronization, because this method is closest to representing mind/body unity. Typically, coupled synchronization can be applied only to non-autonomous systems, such as a modified Duffing system. We represent the result of synchronization using a differential time series mind/body model.

Automatic Fortified Password Generator System Using Special Characters

  • The developed security scheme for user authentication, which uses both a password and the various devices, is always open by malicious user. In order to solve that problem, a keystroke dynamics is introduced. A person's keystroke has a unique pattern. That allows the use of keystroke dynamics to authenticate users. However, it has a problem to authenticate users because it has an accuracy problem. And many people use passwords, for which most of them use a simple word such as "password" or numbers such as "1234." Despite people already perceive that a simple password is not secure enough, they still use simple password because it is easy to use and to remember. And they have to use a secure password that includes special characters such as "#!($^*$)^". In this paper, we propose the automatic fortified password generator system which uses special characters and keystroke feature. At first, the keystroke feature is measured while user key in the password. After that, the feature of user's keystroke is classified. We measure the longest or the shortest interval time as user's keystroke feature. As that result, it is possible to change a simple password to a secure one simply by adding a special character to it according to the classified feature. This system is effective even when the cyber attacker knows the password.

초음파 및 적외선 센서 기반 자율 이동 로봇의 견실한 실시간 제어 (Robust Real-time Control of Autonomous Mobile Robot Based on Ultrasonic and Infrared sensors)

  • This paper presents a new approach to obstacle avoidance for mobile robot in unknown or partially unknown environments. The method combines two navigation subsystems: low level and high level. The low level subsystem takes part in the control of linear, angular velocities using a multivariable PI controller, and the nonlinear position control. The high level subsystem uses ultrasonic and IR sensors to detect the unknown obstacle include static and dynamic obstacle. This approach provides both obstacle avoidance and target-following behaviors and uses only the local information for decision making for the next action. Also, we propose a new algorithm for the identification and solution of the local minima situation during the robot's traversal using the set of fuzzy rules. The system has been successfully demonstrated by simulations and experiments.

  • 통합저류함수모형을 IHP 대표유역인 위천과 보청천유역 그리고 대유역인 남한강유역과 낙동강유역의 강우-유출사상에 적용하여 모형의 타당성을 검토하였다. 제안된 모형에 의한 예측 결과와 관측치를 비교해 볼 때 전체적인 수문곡선의 재현성 및 첨두홍수량의 예측에 있어서 상당히 우수한 결과를 나타내었다. 그러나 첨두홍수 발생시간에서는 퍼지제어의 효과로 인해 다소 오차가 발생하였다. 또한 상류단 유입량이 잔유역 유입량에 비하여 상당히 큰 경우에는 충분한 예보선행시간을 확보하기 어려운 문제점이 나타났다.

  • In the maritime container terminal, LMTT(Linear Motor-based Transfer Technology) is horizontal transfer system for the yard automation, which has been proposed to take the place of AGV(Automated Guided Vehicle). The system is based on PMLSM (Permanent Magnetic Linear Synchronous Motor) that is consists of stator modules on the rail and shuttle car (mover). Because of large variant of mover's weight by loading and unloading containers, the difference of each characteristic of stator modules, and a stator module's trouble etc., LMCPS (Linear Motor Conveyance Positioning System) is considered as that the system is changed its model suddenly and variously. In this paper, we will introduce the soft-computing method of a multi-step prediction control for LMCPS using DR-FNN (Dynamically-constructed Recurrent Fuzzy Neural Network). The proposed control system is used two networks for multi-step prediction. Consequently, the system has an ability to adapt for external disturbance, cogging force, force ripple, and sudden changes of itself.

  • In this paper, unmaned fully automation systems are applied for the CSTR(Continuously Stirred Tank Reactor) and, SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor) wastewater treatment pilot plant. This plant is constructed in the country side which is little far from a main city. So networks and wireless modules are employed for the data transmission. The SBR plant has a local control and monitoring system which is contained communication parts which consist of one ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) network and one CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) module. Remote control and monitoring systems are constructed at a laboratory in a metropolis.

효과적인 영상 인식을 위한 개선된 퍼지 ART 알고리즘 (An Enhanced Fuzzy ART Algorithm for Effective Image Recognition)

  • 퍼지 ART 알고리즘에서 경계 변수는 패턴들을 클러스터링하는데 있어서 반지름 값이 되며 임의의 패턴과 저장된 패턴과의 불일치(mismatch) 허용도를 결정한다. 이 경계 변수가 크면 입력 벡터와 기대 벡터 사이에 약간의 차이가 있어도 새로운 카테고리(category)로 분류하게 된다. 반대로 경계 변수가 작으면 입력 벡터와 기대 벡터 사이에 많은 차이가 있더라도 유사성이 인정되어 입력 벡터들을 대략적으로 분류한다. 따라서 영상 인식에 적용하기 위해서는 경험적으로 경계 변수를 설정해야 단점이 있다. 그리고 연결 가중치를 조정하는 과정에서 학습률의 설정에 따라 저장된 패턴들의 정보들이 손실되는 경우가 발생하여 인식율을 저하시킨다. 본 논문에서는 퍼지 ART 알고리즘의 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 퍼지 논리 접속 연산자를 이용하여 경계 변수를 동적으로 조정하고 저장 패턴들과 학습 패턴간의 실제적인 왜곡 정도를 충분히 고려하여 승자 노드로 선택된 빈도수를 학습률로 설정하여 가중치 조정에 적용한 개선된 퍼지 ART 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법의 성능을 확인하기 위해서 실제 영문 명함에서 추출한 영문자들을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 기존의 ART1과 ART2 알고리즘이나 퍼지 ART 알고리즘보다 클러스터의 수가 적게 생성되었고 인식 성능도 기존의 방법들보다 우수한 성능이 있음을 확인하였다.

Design of a New Haptic Device using a Parallel Mechanism with a Gimbal Mechanism

  • This paper proposes a new haptic device using a parallel mechanism with gimbal type actuators. This device has three legs actuated by 2-DOF gimbal mechanisms, which make the device simple and light by fixing all the actuators to the base. Three extra sensors are placed at passive joints to obtain a unique solution of the forward kinematics problem. The proposed haptic device is developed for an operator to use it on a desktop in due consideration of the size of an average Korean. The proposed haptic device has a small workspace for on operator to use it on a desktop and more sensitivity than a serial type haptic device. Therefore, the motors of the proposed haptic device are fixed at the base plate so that the proposed haptic device has a better dynamic bandwidth due to a low moving inertia. With this conceptual design, optimization of the design parameters is carried out. The objective function is defined by the fuzzy minimum of the global design indices, global force/moment isotropy index, global force/moment payload index, and workspace. Each global index is calculated by a SVD (singular value decomposition) of the force and moment parts of the jacobian matrix. Division of the jacobian matrix assures a consistency of the units in the matrix. Due to the nonlinearity of this objective function, Genetic algorithms are adopted for a global optimization.
