INTEGRATION OF SSM AND IDEF TECHNIQUES FOR ANALYZING DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT PROCESSES

  • Construction documents are recognized as an essential component for making a decision and supporting on construction processes. In construction, the management of project document is a complex process due to different factors such as document types, stakeholder involvement, document flow, and document flow processes. Therefore, inappropriate management of project documents can cause several impacts on construction work processes such as delay or poor quality of work. Several information and communication technologies (ICT) were proposed to overcome problems concerning document management practice in construction projects. However, the adoption of ICT may have some limitation on the compatibility of specific document workflow. Lack of understanding on designing document system may cause many problems during the use and implementation phase. Thus, this paper proposes the framework that integrates Soft System Methodology (SSM) concept and Integrated Definition Modeling Technique (IDEF) for analyzing document management system in construction project. Research methodology is classified as the case study. Five main construction building projects are selected as case studies. The qualitative data related to problems and processes are collected by interviewing construction project participants such as main contractors, owners, consultants, and designers. The findings from case study show the benefits of using SSM and IDEF. The use of SSM can help identify the problems in managing construction document in rich picture view whereas IDEF can illustrate the document flow in construction project in details. In addition, the idea of integrating these two concepts can be used to identify the root causes of process problems at the information level. As the results, this idea can be applied to analyze and design web-based document management system in the future.

글로벌 프로토콜로서의 ICF 활용을 위한 전산화 구성요소 고찰 (Review of the Computerization Component for the Utilization of ICF as a Global Protocol)

  • PURPOSE: Computerization using ICF as a protocol can enhance the assessment, communication, and decision-making of various disciplines and cultures, individual functions, disabilities and health to promote communication and understanding among various professionals, organizations, and countries. The empirical foundation for these propositions was provided by delineating of six distinct computerization components. METHODS: This study analyzed 14 papers that combined the medical field and information technology to activate the ICF through computerization. From each of these papers, distinctive advantages were extracted to propose six computerization elements. The validity of these computerization elements was examined. These papers encompass various computerization elements, among which core elements were identified. In particular, six common core elements were extracted from these papers and assumed to be strategic computerization components for ICF activation. A heuristic methodology was employed to validate these components, representing IT technology maturity using four determining indices, which were then presented graphically for validation attempts. RESULTS: Four quantified indices were defined: reliability, cost-effectiveness, support and updates, and collaboration. Using these indices, this study identified elements that leverage existing IT technologies and require new development. The possibility of increasing utility was identified by applying computerization to ICF. CONCLUSION: This study examined the strategic elements of utilizing ICF by computerizing it using a protocol concept and discussed its potential for utilization. The potential to enhance the value of information in social, physical, and cultural contexts was presented by integrating various domains and data within the ICF framework.

Effects of campus dining sustainable practices on consumers' perception and behavioral intention in the United States

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Sustainability has become one of the top priorities in the foodservice industry. With an increase in consumer interest in sustainability and educational opportunities in higher education, it is important to know what sustainable practices are implemented in campus dining and how sustainable practices affect consumers' responses. This study aims to identify the key sustainable practices in the campus dining context, and investigate the relationship by applying the stimulus-organism-response framework to determine whether the key sustainable practices influence consumers' perception and behavioral intentions. SUBJECTS/METHODS: The self-administered online survey was distributed to college students in 8 dining halls at a large southeastern university in the United States from September 20-October 10, 2019. A total of 382 valid questionnaires were collected, and factor analysis and multiple regressions were utilized to test the research model. RESULTS: This study identified 4 dimensions of campus sustainability with a total of sustainable practices: sustainable food, waste management, energy/water conservation, and recycling/reuse. Three dimensions of sustainable campus practices (i.e., sustainable food, waste management, recycling/reuse) played a significant role in consumers forming a perceived value while energy/water conservation did not significantly influence the consumers' perceived value toward the campus dining. Waste management was identified as the most important practice to enhance consumers' perceived value (β = 0.330). Using sustainable food and recycling/reuse were ranked second and third, respectively (β = 0.262, β = 0.154). The findings confirmed the significant positive relationship between perceived value and revisit intentions. CONCLUSIONS: The findings support the inclusion of dining sustainability as a critical component in explaining college students' perceived value and revisit intention toward campus dining. Furthermore, this study provides practical implications for university administrators and foodservice operators to consider the key sustainable practices to meet the consumers' value and revisit intentions.

한국형 물리치료근무환경 측정도구 개발 및 평가 (Development and Validation of the Korean Physical Therapy Work Environment Scale (K-PTWES))

  • Purpose : This study aimed to develop and validate a reliable tool, the Korean physical therapists' work environment scale (K-PTWES), for assessing the work environment of Korean physical therapists. The study also sought to examine the validity and reliability of the instrument. Methods : This methodological study involved the development and testing of the measurement tool. The conceptual framework was established through a literature review and in-depth interviews with clinical physical therapists. A total of 40 meaningful statements emerged from this process, leading to the generation of 29 primary items. Following a content validity test, 29 items were selected for the preliminary tool. Data were collected from 220 physical therapists across various job roles and unit types, such as outpatient and inpatient physical therapy rooms in domestic hospitals, with more than one year of experience. The final analysis included data from all 220 physical therapists. Results : Varimax rotated principal component analysis was employed for validities, revealing four factors: organizational support, working system, sustainable development, and relationship with coworkers, explaining a total variance of 54.97 %. The Cronbach's α coefficient for the final tool was .939, indicating high reliability. Conclusion : In this study, we developed a measurement tool reflecting the characteristics of the Korean physical therapists' work environment scale (K-PTWES). Our findings highlight the tool demonstrated both validity and reliability. Utilizing this tool is expected to contribute to understanding the work environment of Korean physical therapists and fostering a healthy work environment. Based on our findings, we recommend, firstly, conducting research on the work environment and related factors of physical therapists working in diverse settings using the K-PTWES. Secondly, future studies should focus on validating the tool's criterion-related validity, as it was not addressed in this research.

LSTM-Autoencoder를 이용한 부유식 풍력터빈 블레이드 피치 시스템의 이상징후 감지 (Anomaly detection in blade pitch systems of floating wind turbines using LSTM-Autoencoder)

  • 본 논문은 부유식 풍력터빈의 블레이드 피치 시스템에서 발생하는 이상을 조기에 감지하기 위한 LSTM-Autoencoder 모델 기반의 이상징후 감지 시스템을 설명한다. 발전소 모니터링 시스템에 활용되는 센서 데이터는 주로 시계열 데이터로 구성되며, LSTM 네트워크는 이러한 시계열 데이터를 분석하기 위해 두 개의 단방향 LSTM 네트워크로 구성된다. 이를 통해 순차 데이터에 숨겨진 장기 의존성을 효과적으로 발견할 수 있다. 한편, 오토인코더 메커니즘은 정상상태 데이터로부터만 학습하여 이상상태를 분류될 수 있기 때문에 이 두 가지 네트워크를 결합하여 시스템에 발생하는 이상징후를 효과적으로 감지할 수 있다. 제안된 프레임워크의 효과를 입증하기 위해 풍력 터빈 모델에서 수집한 실제 다변량 시계열 데이터셋을 적용하였다. LSTM-AE 모델은 높은 이상징후 감지 정확도를 달성하여 우수한 성능을 보였다.

스마트온실 배양액 관리를 위한 클라우드 기반 데이터 분석시스템 설계 (Design of Cloud-Based Data Analysis System for Culture Medium Management in Smart Greenhouses)

  • 스마트온실에서 사용하고 있는 다양한 종류의 수경배양액 관리와 관련하여 ICT 기술을 활용한 작물생육 기반 배양액 제어시스템 개발을 위하여, 본 연구에서는 작물 생육단계별 시용배양액의 성분변화를 모니터링하고 이들 실측 데이터를 바탕으로 한 클라우드 기반 데이터 분석시스템을 설계하였다. 수집한 데이터 분석 및 시스템 구축을 위하여 인공광 스마트 온실에서 사용하는 관행의 무기 배양액, 기존 액비 및 폐기 농업부산물 유래 제조액비 등 수종의 배양액을 공시하였으며, 수경재배 작물 생육단계별 시용 배양액내 성분 변화패턴을 모니터링하였다. 발색법에 의한 흡광광도법을 활용하여 $NH_3-N$, $NO_3-N$, $NO_2-N$, $SiO_2$, $PO_4^{3-}$ 및 Cu 등 총 9종의 성분농도 변화를 산출하고 작물의 기초 생육량을 조사하였다. 각 작물의 기초 생육량 데이터는 오픈스택 클라우드 시스템에서 생성된 가상머신(Virtual machine)에 관계형 데이터베이스를 구축하여 수집 항목별로 분류 저장하였다. 저장된 작물별 배양액의 성분변화와 생육량 데이터는 노드제이에스(Node. js) 웹 프레임워크(Framework)를 통해 매주 수집된 데이터를 가시화하여 제공한다. 클라우드 기반 데이터베이스를 구축을 통하여 배양액 성분 실측치 비교와 작물 생육상황은 사용자 스마트 디바이스(Smart devices)를 활용, 작물종과 배양액 성분을 순차적 선택하고, 각 데이터의 비교 및 분석을 시계열 그래프로 실험 결과를 가시화할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 클라우드 기반 데이터 분석시스템 스마트온실내 수경배양액 성분변화 및 재배 작물의 생육을 정기적으로 모니터링한 실측치를 기반으로 데이터베이스를 구축한 것으로 시설재배지나 인공광 스마트온실 등 다양한 농업현장에서 생육관리를 위하여 활용할 수 있다.

국제프랜차이징 연구요소 및 연구방향 (Research Framework for International Franchising)

  • 본 연구는 국내외 프랜차이즈의 해외진출에 대한 연구들을 바탕으로 국제프랜차이징연구의 전체적인 연구체계를 세워보고, 연구체계를 형성하고 있는 연구요인들을 확인하여 각 연구요소별로 이루어지는 연구주제와 내용을 살펴보고, 앞으로의 연구주제들을 제안하고자 한다. 주요한 연구요소들은 국제프랜차이징의 동기 및 환경 요소과 진출의사결정, 국제프랜차이징의 진입양식 및 발전전략, 국제프랜차이징의 운영전략 및 국제프랜차이징의 성과이다. 이외에도 국제프랜차이징 연구에 적용할 수 있는 대리인이론, 자원기반이론, 거래비용이론, 조직학습이론 및 해외진출이론들을 설명하였다. 또한 국제프랜차이징연구에서 보다 중점적으로 개발해야 할 질적, 양적 방법론을 소개하였으며, 마지막으로 국내연구의 동향을 정리하여 추후의 연구방향을 종합적으로 정리하였다.

Self-Efficacy as a Predictor of Self-Care in Persons with Diabetes Mellitus: Meta-Analysis

  • Diabetes mellitus, a universal and prevalent chronic disease, is projected to be one of the most formidable worldwide health problems in the 21st century. For those living with diabetes, there is a need for self-care skills to manage a complex medical regimen. Self-efficacy which refers to one's belief in his/her capability to monitor and perform the daily activities required to manage diabetes has be found to be related to self-care. The concept of self-efficacy comes from social cognitive theory which maintains that cognitive mechanism mediate the performance of behavior. The literature cites several research studies which show a strong relationship between self-efficacy and self-care behavior. Meta-analysis is a technique that enables systematic review and quantitative integration of the results from multiple primary studies that are relevant to a particular research question. Therefore, this study was done using meta-analysis to quantitatively integrate the results of independent research studies to obtain numerical estimates of the overall effect of a self-efficacy with diabetic patient on self-care behaviors. The research proceeded in three stages : 1) literature search and retrieval of studies in which self-efficacy was related to self-care, 2) coding, and 3) calculation of mean effect size and data analysis. Seventeen studies which met the research criteria included study population of adults with diabetes, measures of self-care and measures of self-efficacy as a predictive variable. Computation of effect size was done on DSTAT which is a statistical computer program specifically designed for meta-analysis. To determine the effect of self-efficacy on self-care practice homogeneity tests were conducted. Pooled effect size estimates, to determine the best subvariable for composite variables, metabolic control variables and component of self-efficacy and self-care, indicated that the effect of self-efficacy composite on self-care composite was moderate to large. The weighted mean effect size of self-efficacy composite and self-care composite were +.76 and the confidence interval was from +.66 to +.86 with the number of subjects being 1,545. The total for this meta-analysis result showed that the weighted mean effect sizes ranged from +.70 to +1.81 which indicates a large effect. But since reliabilities of the instruments in the primary studies were low or not stated, caution must be applied in unconditionally accepting the results from these effect sizes. Meta-analysis is a useful took for clarifying the status of knowledge development and guiding decision making about future research and this study confirmed that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and self-care in patients with diabetes. It, thus, provides support for nurses to promote self-efficacy in their patients. While most of the studies included in this meta-analysis used social cognitive theory as a framework for the study, some studies use Fishbein & Ajzen's attitude model as a model for active self-care. Future research is needed to more fully define the concept of self-care and to determine what it is that makes patients feel competent in their self-care activities. The results of this study showed that self-efficacy can promote self-care. Future research is needed with experimental design to determine nursing interventions that will increase self-efficacy.

하구의 지형적.자연서식지.이용개발특성에 따른 유형 분류 (Estuary Classification Based on the Characteristics of Geomorphological Features, Natural Habitat Distributions and Land Uses)

  • 하구의 체계적인 관리를 위해서는 하구의 특성과 분포를 반영한 분류가 먼저 이루어져야 한다. 이 연구에서는 지리정보시스템, 고해상도 항공사진 및 지형도 등을 사용하여 우리나라의 463개 하구의 특성과 분포를 파악하였고, 이들 하구의 하구순환 유지 여부, 지형적 특성, 자연서식지 특성, 이용개발 특성에 기초하여 유형을 분류하였다. 하구 순환이 이루어지는 235개의 '열린하구'는 지형적 특성에 따라 '산지/절벽형', '사취형' 및 '깔대기형'으로 구분하였으며, 각 유형에 속하는 하구는 각각 41, 87, 107개로 분류되었다. 구분된 각 하구는 다시 자연서식지 특성과 이용 개발 특성에 따라 3가지 유형으로 세분하여, 열린하구는 총 9개의 유형으로 구분하였다. 하구순환이 차단된 228개의 '닫힌하구'는 차단 형태에 따라 '직접차단'과 '하구호' 형성에 의한 간접차단으로 구분하였다. 직접차단 형태의 하구를 다시 자연서식지 및 이용개발 특성에 따라 3가지 유형으로 세분하였으며 각 유형에 속하는 하구는 각각 25, 64, 55개로 분류되었다. 간접차단 하구는 84개가 파악되었으나 세분하지 않아 닫힌하구는 총 4개의 유형으로 구분되었다. 이 유형분류 체계는 하구의 지형적 특성, 자연서식지의 현황 및 토지이용 특성을 모두 반영하고 있어 국가 차원의 하구관리에 있어서 우선순위를 결정하고 관리방향을 설정하는데 효과적으로 활용할 수 있다.

SNMPv3 통신망의 정책기반 보안관리를 위한 역할기반 보안관리 모델의 설계 및 분석 (Design and Analysis of Role-based Security Management Model for Policy-based Security Management in SNMPv3 Network)

  • 정책기반 통신망관리 시스템은 다양한 사용자의 요구에 부응하고 대형화, 분산화되는 통신망의 효과적인 관리에 적합한 아키텍처이다. 이 시스템에서의 통신망 관리자는 각 통신망 구성요소에 대한 직접적인 동작설정 대신 미리 설정한 규칙에 따라 통신망 구성요소나 서비스의 동작을 결정하게 된다. 한편, 융통성있는 통신망 관리 프레임워크를 제시한 SNMPv3는 인증, 암호화, 접근통제 등의 보안서비스를 제공함으로써, 이전 SNMP 버전들이 제공하지 못했던 안전한 통신망 관리를 위한 기반기술을 제공하고 있다. 그러나, SNMPv3의 개선된 보안서비스에도 불구하고 통신망 관리자별로 인증과 암호화 과정에 이용되는 보안정보가 관리되고, 보안정보가 통신망 구성요소에 분산되어 있어 중앙집중방식의 체계적인 보안관리기능이 제공되지 않아 여러 관리자에 의해 운영되는 대규모 통신망을 효과적으로 관리하는데 부적합한 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 중앙집중방식의 규모확장성과 통신망 보안관리기능을 제공하기 위해 보안관리정책을 지원하는 역할기반 보안관리 모델을 제시하고, 이를 추가한 SNMPv3의 확장된 보안시스템의 구조, 동작절차 및 보안관리 관점에서의 효율성 분석에 대해 기술한다.
