Feasibility study for wrap-buoy assisted wet-tow and stepwise installation of mono-bucket foundation for 15 MW offshore wind turbine

  • An innovative concept for wet-transportation and stepwise installation of mono-bucket foundation for 15 MW offshore wind turbine is proposed. Case studies for two different mono-bucket and wrap-buoy dimensions are conducted and their hydrostatic and hydrodynamic performances are compared for both wet-towing and lowering operations. The intact stability and transient responses are analyzed in detail for various stages of lowering operation. Wave-induced motion statistics during wet tow in sea state 4 (highest operational window) are checked. The proposed concept is found to be feasible and can be an alternative cost-effective solution without using heavy-lift crane vessel in practice.

기초 공학의 창의적인 실습 능력 향상을 위한 PBL 적용 사례 연구 (A Study Basic Engineering for Improving the Creative Practice PBL Case)

  • 본 연구에서는 공과대학 1학년을 대상으로 한 기초 공학 실습의 창의성 교육을 활성화하기 위한 대안으로 문제기반학습(PBL : Problem-Based Learning) 교육시스템을 적용하였다. 이러한 교육시스템의 개발의 이유는 공학에 관련된 지식과 실습능력이 전혀 없는 공과대학 1학년 학생들에 대한 기초이론과 기초실습에서 사용하는 재료의 특성과 공구사용법, 기계사용법을 숙달되도록 하였다. 기존의 실습교육은 정형화된 학습계획에 의해 교수 중심의 실습교육이 일률적으로 진행되어 학생들의 실습능력에 한계를 보여 왔다. 그러나 본 연구에서는 PBL에 입각하여 교재는 학생 스스로 선행학습을 하며 학습자 중심의 문제를 도출하고 소규모 단위실습 진행방법을 결정하여 실습 능력 향상에 대한 교육 프로세스를 제시하고자 한다. 이러한 연구결과로 기존의 실습교육보다 약 30% 학습 능력의 향상을 보였다.

한국 전문간호사의 전망에 관한 고찰: Flexner의 전문직 특성을 기반으로 (Reflections on the Prospects of Korean Advanced Practice Nurses : Based on Flexner's Professional Characteristics)

  • Purpose : This study explores the professional status of Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) in Korea, who, despite being legally certified, face instability in their professional standing, including their scope of practice and compensation. Method : The study uses Flexner's professional characteristics as a framework to analyze and project the future trajectory of Korean APNs. Results : First, to ensure social accountability, professional bodies need to establish uniform nursing policies related to job roles, and healthcare institutions must adhere to these policies. Second, nursing leaders should spearhead the creation of nursing knowledge essential for the profession's advancement, aiming to establish it as the foundation for nursing practice through a consensus process within the nursing community. Third, the curriculum for APNs should enhance the quantitative and qualitative aspects of practice in response to societal needs. Fourth, professional bodies should formulate consistent nursing policies based on a thorough analysis of the healthcare environment and legal considerations, and guide their implementation in clinical practice through a consensus process within the nursing community. Lastly, guidelines should be established for professional standards suitable for the Korean context. Conclusion : Based on this review, it is recommended that all APNs adhere to the professional standards set by their respective organizations, actively participate in personal quality improvement initiatives, and fulfill their duties and roles as members of these professional bodies. Furthermore, these organizations should devise practical strategies to solidify the APN system and should spearhead a systematic consensus process that garners the agreement of all members within the nursing community.

  • Under the WTO, UIA asks professional degree programs such as B.Arch program, practical experience, and an examination to meet the international requirements. In this context, we are started professional degree programs. Following the foundation of KAAB, Korean architectural education sectors have made substantial changes throughout the nation. There was lots of discussions about education system, however, we are lack of discussing about internship program in Korea. Therefore, this research was intended to review the professional practice program in other countries for the purpose of propose our education program. The specific content deals with various issues, like CPD and foreign architect legislations, and the recent korean legislation reform of 'Architect Law' centered upon Professional Training System. The aim is to identify the examples of forms and contents regarding the execution of new Professional Training System in current conditions.

  • This research has been studied proper physical therapy curriculum to produce 21 century physical therapist according to the change of the times by industrialization and specialization.   • As for the green space construction of the modern parks, landscape design is not only for the aesthetics but its also to promote the spiritual connotation. The appearing of the exemplary type of ecological landscape reflects landscape architects have developed realization and wishes to improve the deteriorating environment and put them into practice. This paper introduces the basic intension of the exemplary type of ecological landscape, and discusses the relative background and ecological aesthetic foundation of the exemplary ecological landscape which appeared under the crisis of urban environment; lists the modern landscape designers practices of the exemplary ecological landscape; studies the developing trend of this practice which becomes multifold along with the reformation of city.

  • This paper reflects on the ergonomical criteria for a humane working atmosphere in industrial buildings while respecting and paying close attention to the physical, mental, and stressful demands of the work environment. It describes effective construction codes and standards of practice and their importance in ensuring a safe environment for working people. Also addressed are the objectives for a productive work environment and its organization. The paper considers the significance of a proper working environment, the use of dangerous working materials, the use of proper ventilation, climate, and lighting to ensure that the productivity of the enterprise is met with common goals shared between employer and employee. The connection between the legal foundation and the design of industrial construction is the focus of this paper. It shows that the planning and executive persons are obliged to observe the relevant construction laws and regulations including standards and codes of practice. Additionally discussed are the possible solutions and consequences for development in the productional, constructional, and ergonomical fields of design.

A two-dimensional positioning system suitable for noisy environment

  • The authors proposed a new two-dimensional(2D) positioning system by use of M-array suitable for noisy environment in '88KACC and its revised version in '89KACC. This 2D positioning system is further improved to be used in practice; the computation time is improved by use of vector signal processor and the focussing process is improved by use of an electrically controlled zoom lense. It is shown that this system is robust to noise and also to misalignment of devices.
