Purpose: This study was designed to describe the burnout experiences of nurses counseling people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in hospital-based counseling services in Korea. Methods: A qualitative research technique with focus group interviews was used and the data were collected in 2012. Participants were 13 counseling nurses from 16 medical hospitals in South Korea who had worked full-time for more than six months as a counseling nurse for PLWHA. The 13 nurses made up 68.4% of all 19 official HIV counseling nurses in South Korea. Data were collected using focus group interviews and analyzed with the content analysis methodology of Downe-Wamboldt. Results: Burnout experience of counseling nurses for PLWHA was analyzed for two domains-causes of, and effects of burnout. Each domain was classified into three categories; personal, job-related, and relationships. Further 17 sub-categories and 47 concepts were discovered. Conclusion: In this study various causes and effects of burnout experienced by nurses counseling PLWHA were identified. These findings can be used in developing effective strategies for nurses, administrators, and health policy makers to solve the burnout of counseling nurses. Further research is required to develop detailed and practical job description for nurses counseling PLWHA.

국가기록원 등 많은 기록관에서 온라인 검색도구를 적극 활용하고 있으나 여러 측면에서 개선이 필요한 상황이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국가기록원을 중심으로, 호주, 영국, 미국의 국립기록관에서 제공하는 온라인 검색도구현황을 분석하였다. 또 호주, 영국, 미국 국립기록관의 검색도구를 직접 사용하여 각각의 장단점을 파악해 보도록 하기 위해, 실제 이용자들을 선정하여 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 통한 평가를 실시하였다. 그 결과를 기반으로, 전반적 기능 및 계층별 검색, 검색옵션 및 주제어검색, 검색결과제시, 기록정보콘텐츠 서비스 등의 측면에서 온라인 검색도구의 개선 및 발전 방향을 제시하였다.

With rapid growth and competition of electronic commerce through internet, various buying types and business models are being appeared. In this paper, we studied group buying which is new business model to consumer and factors affecting on trust and participation of group buying. The followings are the regression result of this study. First, familiarity factor, customer service factor, seal of security and product value factor made a significant effect on trust. Second, familiarity factor, perceived reputation factor, customer service factor, seal of security and product value factor made a significant effect on participation of group buying. Third, trust of group buying made a significant effect on participation of group buying. In this study, modeling and empirical test were implemented about structure of trust and participation of group buying. We can know where our group buying strategies should focus and which factor we should improve.

Purpose: This study was aimed to describe ethical dilemmas and types of coping behaviors among nurses who worked in intensive care units (ICUs). Methods: Data were collected by 2 focus group interviews with 12 ICU nurses in an academic affiliated hospital in Seoul, Korea. All interviews were tape-recorded and transcribed, and data were analyzed by modified qualitative content analysis. Results: Three themes emerged from the focus group interviews: "Respect for Persons (2 contents)", "Beneficence (13 contents)", "Justice (1 content)". Coping behaviors against the dilemmas were consultations with the doctors or colleagues, acceptance, guilt, reflection, forgetting, endurance, and frustration. Conclusion: The results of this study help us to understand ethical dilemmas that nurses experienced in ICUs and their coping behaviors. It would be useful to develop education programs for nurses in ICUs to support coping strategies for ethical dilemmas.

The Spectrum Usage Fee System which has been introduced and enforced since 1993 has had a great role for effective use of the radio frequency resources and the promotion of radio wave industry. However, the current system has been criticized due to several drawbacks. For example, broadcasting stations and national institutions are exempted whereas the overdue utility rate on some frequency has been imposed. So there has been rising the questions on whether the principles of fair imposition are broken. Another problem regarding the current system is that how to calculate the fee is too much complicated, and it needs to be revised into a simpler and clearer formulation. In this regard, this study intends to propose a new calculation framework for the radio spectrum usage fee and then prove its validity empirically on the basis of real data gathered from MIC and focus group interview.

This study was conducted to provide an improving direction of K-EIP(Korean Eco-Industrial Park) construction project by company's voluntary participation. For this purpose, we investigated and analyzed the status of domestic eco-industrial park projects from various literatures, foreign EIP cases and FGI(Focus Group Interview). The key issues to construct a voluntary K-EIP are the lack of experts, the difficulties of commercialization financing, and so on. In this study, therefore, the programs to resolve these problems in K-EIP construction project were suggested at the level of government and corporation.

The purpose of this study was to explore the experience the Nightingale pledge rituals of nursing students. Rituals are how people have always passed on their value system to the young, the next generation. Data were collected using focus group interviews and participant observations from 2012 to 2014. First researchers attended and observed Nightingale pledge rituals. And the three focus group interviews were held with a total 22 nursing students participating. All interviews were recorded and transcribed as they were spoken, and data was analyzed using ethnography methodology. The results were the participants experienced the nurse identity and connectedness with others through Nightingale pledge rituals. Also, they experienced "a river that can't be crossed,", thus go through a transition stage such as a rite of passage with a firm determination on their nursing career. The Nightingale pledge rituals allowed to the nursing students close relationship and the sense of community by going through ritual procedures.

Portable ladders are widely used as ascend and descend pathways and platforms for works at height at residential and industrial sites. In the last 10 years, 267 fatalities and 36,571 accidents related to portable ladders have been reported, suggesting a need to develop countermeasures to prevent such accidents. In this study, an in-depth focus group interview (FGI) was conducted with various stakeholders of portable ladders to survey the current usage and requirements for improving work safety. A new portable ladder called active platform ladder was developed based on the requirements suggested by the FGI. A stability test confirmed that the developed ladder is more stable than conventional ones, suggesting that it can reduce the fall accidents.

The aim of this research is to understand the perceptions of primary and secondary teachers regarding educational resource sharing systems(ERS) by using a qualitative approach. This study conducted Focus Group Interview(FGI) with 20 primary and secondary school teachers. Interview data were analyzed through inductive content analysis method. The results are as follows. First, teachers placed significant emphasis on high-quality, convenient functions, and reward system for sharing resources. Specifically, teachers identified the necessity for a diverse array of materials, systematic categorization of these resources, and the provision of monetary compensation as essential components. Second, the study participants advocated strategies for revitalizing ERS including enhancing accessibility, constructing user-friendly features, increasing awareness, and establishing a reward system to incentivize the resource sharing. In particular, teachers proposed strategies such as developing mobile-based services and AIdriven data recommendation system. These results provide actionable insights for stakeholders engaged in the design, implementation, and evaluation of resource sharing platforms.

본 연구는 소아암 생존자가 인지한 어려움을 분석하기 위한 포커스그룹 면담을 적용한 질적내용분석 연구이다. 연구대상자는 S시 S종합병원에서 암 치료 종료 후 추후관리중인 소아암 생존자 22명을 대상으로 수행하였다. 22명의 연구 대상자를 3그룹으로 나누어 각 그룹 당 80-100분의 면담을 진행하였다. 연구결과 소아암 생존자가 인지한 어려움에 대해 '신체적 한계', '끝나지 않은 소아암이라는 그림자', '관계형성의 어려움' '자원 요인으로 인한 어려움'인 4개의 주제와 '체력의 약화', '암치료의 후유증', '재발에 대한 두려움', '부정적인 사회적 인식', '이성친구와 관계형성의 어려움', '동료와 관계 형성의 어려움', '가족들과 관계 형성의 어려움'의 7개의 하부주제가 도출되었다. 본 연구결과가 추후, 소아암 생존자들에게 가장 적합하고 효율적인 건강관리프로그램 개발을 위한 기초 자료로 활용되기를 희망한다.
