This paper introduces stochastic cash-flow modeling integrated with simulation based scheduling. The system makes use of CPM schedule data exported from commercial scheduling software, computes the best fit probability distribution functions (PDFs) of historical activity durations, assigns the PDFs identified to respective activities, simulates the schedule network, computes the deterministic and stochastic project cash-flows, plots the corresponding cash flow diagrams, and estimates the best fit PDFs of overdraft and net profit of a project. It analyzes the effect of different distributions of activity durations on the distribution of overdrafts and net profits, and improves reliability compared to deterministic cash flow analysis.

This paper aims mainly to reinterpretate Optimal Bus Scheduling Model by applying System Dynamics Perspective. Traditionally, the study regarding Optimal Bus Scheduling Model stems on the linear relationshp. However, this paper attempted to convert linear relationship based Optimal Bus Scheduling Model to causal loop perspective based Model. In result, the paper present Casual Loop Diagram for Optimal Bus Scheduling Model. Furthermore, the paper also ran a simulation based on Stock & Flow Diagram for Optimal Bus Scheduling Model. The outcome was not much different from the linear relationship based Model due to the similarity of the equation applied on two models.

In this paper, we propose an optimal ILP scheduling algorithm for multiprocessor design on LDFG(Linear Data-Flow Graph) that can be represented by homogeneous synchronous data-flow. The proposed computation in this paper does not contain data-dependent, all scheduling decisions for such algorithms can be taken at compile time, only fully static overlapped schedules are considered. It means that all linear have the same schedule and the same processor assignment. In this paper, the resource-constrained problem is addressed, for the LDFG optimization for multiprocessor design problem formulating ILP solution available to provide optimal solution. The results show that the scheduling method is able to find good quality schedules in reasonable time.

It can be made a definition that scheduling is a imposition of machinery and equipment to perform a collection of tasks. Ultimately scheduling is an assessment of taking order for which would be perform. So it is called "sequencing" in other words. In a job shop scheduling, the main object is to making delivery in accordance with the due date and order form customer, not to producing lots of quantity with minimizing mean flow time in a given time. Actually, in a company, they concentrate more in the delivery than minimizing the mean flow time. Therefore this paper suggest a new priority dispatching rule under consideration as below in a n/m job shop scheduling problem with due date. 1. handling/transportation time, 2. the size of customer order With this algorithm, we can make a scheduling for minimizing the tardiness of delivery which satisfy a goal of production.roduction.
This paper presents the power scheduling of a multi-microgrid (MMG) system using an optimization technique called particle swarm optimization (PSO). The PSO technique has been shown to be most effective at solving the various problems of the economic dispatch (ED) in a power system. In addition, a new MMG system configuration is proposed in this paper, through which the optimal power flow is achieved. Both optimization and power trading methods within an MMG are studied. The results of implementing PSO in an MMG system for optimal power flow and cost minimization are obtained and compared with another attractive and efficient optimization technique called the genetic algorithm (GA). The comparison between these two effective methods provides very competitive results, and their operating costs also appear to be comparable. Finally, in this study, power scheduling and a power trading method are obtained using the MATLAB program.

This paper considers the problem of two-machine, M-parallel flow shop scheduling to minimize makespan, and proposes a series of heuristic algorithms and a branch and bound algorithm. Two processing times of each job at two machines on each line are identical on any line. Since each flow-shop line consists of two machines, Johnson's sequence is optimal for each flow-shop line. Heuristic algorithms are developed in this paper by combining a "list scheduling" method and a "local search with global evaluation" method. Numerical experiments show that the proposed heuristics can efficiently give optimal or near-optimal schedules with high accuracy. with high accuracy.
Research on the flow shop model has mainly been centered around periodic tasks scheduling. In this paper, we present an algorithm using synthetic utilization that can check the schedulability of aperiodic local tasks and aperiodic end-to-end tasks with precedence relation in the flow shop model. If the scheduling algorithm for aperiodic end-to-end tasks executed in the multiple stage pipeline is applied to the flow shop model, sometimes the actually schedulable tasks are decided to be not schedulable because of the fact that the actually unschedulable tasks are decided to be schedulable. The algorithm presented in this paper solves the problem, and the simulation shows that the schedulability increases 10%.

Backpressure based scheduling has been considered as a promising technique for improving the throughput of a wide range of communication networks. However, this scheduling technique has not been well studied for heterogeneous wireless networks. In this paper, we propose a virtual-queue based backpressure scheduling (VQB) algorithm for heterogeneous multi-hop wireless networks. The VQB algorithm introduces a simple virtual queue for each flow at a node for backpressure scheduling, whose length depends on the cache size of the node. When calculating flow weights and making scheduling decisions, the length of a virtual queue is used instead of the length of a real queue. We theoretically prove that VQB is throughput-optimal. Simulation results show that the VQB algorithm significantly outperforms a classical backpressure scheduling algorithm in heterogeneous multi-hop wireless networks in terms of the packet delivery ratio, packet delivery time, and average sum of the queue lengths of all nodes per timeslot.

This paper is concerned with flow shop scheduling problems having the common due date. V-shape property is used for algorithms with early and tardy penalty cost. The objective of this paper is developing efficient heuristic scheduling algorithms for minimizing total penalty cost function and determining the optimal common due date. The between job delay and the work in process are considered for developing algorithms as penalty cost. Algorithms is simulated to analyze interrelated factors. A numerical example is given for illustrating the proposed algorithms.
This paper is concerned with the flow shop scheduling problems considering different weighted penalty costs for earliness and lateness, and a common due date. The objective of the paper is to develop an efficient heuristic scheduling algorithm for minimizing total penalty costs and for determining the optimal common due date. The positional weight index and, the product sum method are used. A numerical example is given for illustrating the proposed algorithm.
