Today, construction fence screens which were understood simply as structures of separating people from the dangers of construction sites have evolved into landmarks to enhance the images of Cities. Now, construction fence screens should have the function as landmarks stimulating people's sensibility through providing aesthetic values as well as the function of protecting people from the dangers of fields of construction. For this reason, this study tried 1) to show the relationships among these 4 classifications. is 4 realms of Human Beings - Cultural - Ecological - Digital in the expression methods of the construction fence screens of Seoul and 2) to simplify the characteristic elements of construction fence screens by way of extracting with Ecology, Installation Art, Symbolic, Commercial Expression. This study examined whether or not the construction fence screens of Seoul were playing the role as landmarks stimulating people's sensibility with sustainable improvement to the environment of Seoul as public design structures, by investigating some of the construction fence screens of Seoul. Also through analyzing the diversity of expression methods of the construction fence screens of other local governments as well as those of Seoul, we hope that they will be the public structures for enhancing the images of Cities.

본 연구는 벽화의 기법이 적용된 융복합적 성격의 판장형 담장 디자인을 제시한다. 기본적인 구조는 담장 평면에 회화적 요소를 담아 벽화가 그려진 담장이 된다. 여기에 담장 기둥을 중심으로 전력 통신 설비를 내장함으로써 담장의 고유한 기능 외에 가로나 정원조명, 방범설비로 활용될 수 있도록 기능면에서 복합성과 확장성을 갖추었다. 담장을 구성하는 부분들은 공장에서 규격에 맞춰 생산할 수 있도록 고려했다. 이러한 디자인 제안을 통해 담장의 기본적인 역할인 공간 구획을 넘어 개인과 사회적 소통을 유도할 수 있는 담장을 제시하고자 했다. 이 결과 심미적 효용뿐만 아니라 범죄예방 등의 사회적 기능에 까지 도움을 주는 폭넓은 융복합적 기능을 구현하는 담장으로 기능할 수 있다.

건설현장에서 펜스디자인은 공공디자인으로써 건설 환경에서 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 이는 사람과 자연, 자연과 건축, 건축과 문화 간에 조화를 이룰 때 사람의 감정에 많은 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 현재 중국의 건설현장에서 펜스 디자인 연구는 예술작품 수준에 머무르고 있으며, 이에 대한 연구도 미흡한 실정이다. 또한 펜스디자인과 건설현장간의 상호작용에 대한 인식이 전혀 이루어지지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 기존 펜스 디자인에 대한 우수한 사례에 대한 분석을 토대로 디자인 원칙을 수립하고 이를 토대로 증강현실 기술을 활용하여, 중국 길림대학교 지질궁 박물관의 펜스디자인을 개발하는 것이다. 본 연구 결과는 건설물이 건축되는 과정을 직접 체험할 수 있는 기회를 제공하고 본 연구결과를 통해 예술적, 문화적 저변이 확대될 것으로 기대된다.

Recently, the necessity of open spaces is increased greatly in the city. But in many reasons, open spaces are diminishing gradually in the existing cities. It is more difficult to keep that space because of expensive land price, and the interests between the neighbors. To solve this problem, the local governments tries to change the street system more convenient to the pedestrian by adapting no vechile street system during some specific time. In this point of view, the street which include fence of school, house, and apartment can be the open space. Especially, removal of the school fence can be a useful solution providing open spaces to small cities suffering from lack of open spaces. In this researching background, several schools in Wonju were selected in this research, some has already been opened, and others yet. Opinions of students, presidents of these schools, and citizens are surveyed about removal of fence. In the basis of this result, we deduce problems followed by removing the fence, and reflect it in the plan of opening the fence to present the guidance to cross over the functional limitation of the fence and use it as a open space.

Appear on the furniture design concept of the Joseon Dynasty Pung-hyel design was developed that is imaged by implication. Was enough of our culture, tradition and the wisdom of our ancestors to the development of a design that reflects the traits to fit the purpose of each form to proceed. Based building materials, technology, and how to identify and develop products as competitive PE fence, and at the same time to develop an international product design is based. Was designed with functionality and mass production to be faithful as a function fence productivity. Formative elements where you can rub shoulders with the modern urban environment alive excavated features leads in the traditional culture, aesthetics, design emphasized a new sense of harmony. Improvements were becoming increasingly aware that traditional culture of Korea's own traditional forms of social concern of modern design. Other products and take advantage of the traditional pattern, with figurative motifs and differentiation, and faithful to its original function as a fence brings out the basic elements of the visual motif has a distinctive beauty.

This study deals with the consciousness and visual preference and image about the fence that is an important factor and a vertical element in the streetscape. The analysis was performed by the data obtained from the questionnaires and the photos for the fence scene. 1. The answerers considering the fence had great influence on the beauty of a city were over 80%, also the fence influence good effect on a city was higher than 63%. 2. The answerers prefering the fence materials mixed with inanimate materials and plants was higher than 50%. Also the design offence was regarded to be the most important element when established. 3. While the satisfying factors for the visual preference were peculiarity, abundance and harmony, the dissatisfying factors were commonplaceness, disharmony and isolation(closing). Also the preference factors were the design and material in several elements of the fence. 4. At the part of function, the preferable places were estimated highly as boundary mark, eye interception but in the visual effect were so low. 5. Psychological factor, related to the satisfaction of the fence, had a grip of three factors, evaluation, formation, potentiality, and the presumption formula was: Satisfaction=1.61(Evaluation)+0.30(Formation)+0.55(Potentiality)+6.23(R2=0. 63)

Rockfall protection fence is one of the most common rockfall protection measures in Korea. The fences have been constructed in almost every hazardous cutslopes along national highway in Korea. However, the capability and performance of the fence as rockfall protection system are seldom known since no field test which can provide information on the response and the behavior of fence was carried out. This is the first full scaled rockfall test in Korea. The objectives of the test are to provide the information on the behavior and the capability of fence and to propose the design specifications for the fence. In this test, four different systems have been selected and tested. For each test, the rockfall impact energy was analyzed and the response and behavior of the system were investigated.

말굽와류로 대표되는 3차원 유동현상은 필연적으로 주유동에 대한 2차 유동의 형태로 발생되며, 유동손실을 유발하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 2차유동 손실을 일으키는 주요 요인중의 하나인 말굽와류의 강도를 감쇄시키기 위해 일반적인 날개 앞전에 설치한 판에 대해, 판의 설치 높이, 길이, 폭 및 두께 등의 형상변수를 설계변수로 정하여 이를 최적화하였다. 근사최적설계 기법을 이용 최적화를 수행하였으며, $FLUENT^{TM}$와 $iSIGHT^{TM}$를 이용하였다. 최적화 수행결과, 기준 모델의 경우보다 전압력 계수가 약 7.5% 감소하였다.

Seoul, the capital of Korea, is worldwide city; Seoul is 600 year-old city as a capital and more than 10 millions of population live in Seoul, Image of Seoul has began to be known to the peoples in the world through 1988 Seoul Olympic Games and 2002 World Cup. However, in the public design and trees lining street system, Seoul hasn't been escaped from the image of a city which lacks of the characterization in the culture and identity aspects. This paper applied a protective fence designing simulation for Cultural Street in Seoul to develop much more the identity of Seoul and characterization of local culture. Also, It's examined and analyzed R&D data, and applied traditional patterns to design to set developmental capacity of design and a direction of fence design in the past, present and future. It's analyzed the present condition of domestic manufacturers and examples for installation, selected randomly 7 places of domestic cultural places as an alternative to compare the previous design to the present design with 3D design and photos composing method, and developed the related situation. Also, It's visualized this method to let the citizens and all levels of society determine the design. besides that, developed the traditional patterns to apply the patterns to the design, considering the characteristic of each region and characteristic of each road. It's suggested this fence design to apply the image of advanced Korea and Seoul as a creative cultural city, and the international status of Korea and Seoul to the trees on the historical and traditional street. Also, put an importance to bring the identity of Seoul and Korea in the world into relief.

The propose of this study is to suggest objective data to be utilized for a plan and the improvement of open space through the analysis of people's behaviour and satisfaction after the introduction of an opened-fence around offices followed by a plan for wall-afforestation of public institution's. The sites examined are four offices; two of them have opened-walls and the others have traditional enclosure. Analysis of frequency is conducted to understand the actual use according to people's individual peculiarities. Pearson's correlation analysis, t-test, multiple regression analysis are carried out to find out relations of fluents. In the end, the satisfaction is high in public institution satisfaction, entrance, space perception. stability, Landscaped office with opened-fence rather than fence, and the increase in usage of fluent of public institution satisfaction, entrance, space perception. stability, confusion brings about rising of use-satisfaction. Satisfaction with the exterior of building is the most important variable that influences the whole urban open space. Furthermore the influences of the approach and stability having connection with open or not-open fence is major variable affecting satisfaction of use of open space. Whether open or not is important factor on satisfaction of open space of office building. Through this study, we can find that opened fence determines use satisfaction of resting space of outdoor-office. So factors affecting satisfaction must be regarded as important requisite on planning, design, development and management in plan for afforestation of fence at public institution.
