  • Service quality is a competitive weapon in the banking industry. Better understanding of customer's perception of service quality in the banking industry and the drivers of such perceptions will be a sound basis for continuous improvement in the quality of service offered to customers, customer satisfaction and customer retention in the industry. An earlier study by the same authors (Ibrahim and Bokkasam, 2016) revealed that the six SERVQUAL determinants are significantly related to and explain about 84% of overall customer satisfaction. It was also observed that the female customers perceived higher level of positive perception towards SERVQUAL determinants. The present study carries out a micro-analysis of the influence of gender on the constituents of the service quality and customer satisfaction for all the six dimensions of the SERVQUAL: Access, Communication, Competence, Tangibility, Empathy and Reliability, in Saudi banking sector. The study also analyses gender-wise levels of satisfactions with regard to individual components constituting various factors of the constituents of SERVQUAL. It was observed that the male customers have significantly low levels of satisfactions with regard to promptness in solving conflicting issues and comfort during waiting time in the bank.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the skin conductance level (SCL) induced by unexpected situation which reflected the emotional and cognitional responses during driving. The participants included 57 college graduates; 28 males aged $24.5{\pm}1.3$ with $2.3{\pm}1.5$ years of driving experiences and 29 females aged $23.6{\pm}2.6$ with $2.2{\pm}1.7$ years of driving experience. Reaction time of brake, averaged SCL, maximum SCL, and rising time to maximum amplitude were measured. They were analysed according to condition (crash, non-crash) and gender (male, female). The reaction time of brake was more faster and averaged SCL was greater during non-crash condition than during crash condition. There were no significant differences between male and female drivers in the reaction time of brake and averaged SCL whether or not it crash. There were no significant differences between crash and non-crash conditions in the maximum SCL and rising time to maximum amplitude, but there were significant differences between male and female in them. These results support the hypothesis that averaged SCL is more related to cognitional response and maximum SCL and rising time to maximum amplitude are more related to emotional responses.

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate the emotional change of a driver according to the change of temperature, humidity, $CO_2$ gas concentration and $C_4H_{10}$ gas concentration in the automobile by electroencephalogram(EEG) spectrum analysis. The experiment was performed in an automobile simulated shielding room with healthy volunteers(age : 18-31, male : 14, female : 7). The subject's emotion at every different condition was indexed 11-point scale(+5 : most pleasant, -5 : least pleasant). The emotion index at each condition resulted in as follows; in temperature $1.00(23.5^{\circ}C)$, $-2.33(30.5^{\circ}C)$, in humidity 1.50(45%), -1.50(65%), in $CO_2$ gas concentration 0.67(500ppm), -0.57(6,000ppm), in $C_4H_{10}$ gas concentration -0.25(0ppm), -2.75(1,200ppm). From EEG spectrum analysis, the average mean power frequency(MPF) value at each different condition was shown as follows; in temperature $5.48(23.5^{\circ}C)$, $4.06(30.5^{\circ}C)$, in humidity 11.03(45%), 3.03(65%), in $CO_2$ gas concentration 7.16(500ppm), 6.38(6,000ppm), in $C_4H_{10}$ gas concentration 10.21(0ppm), 2.87(1,200ppm). When the environment became unpleasant to the subject, all of the obtained MPF values were decreased. It was found that there is close agreement between subjective evaluation by subject's scaling and objective evaluation by EEG spectrum analysis at different environment. These results indicated that the EEG spectrum analysis is a proper method to assess emotional response of a driver in the changing automobile environment.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate ways to control the wind dispersal of contton-wrapped seeds of such poplars and willows as Poplus alba, P. tomentiglandulosa, P. euramericana, P. deltoides, and Salix pseudo-lasiogyne. These trees are hated by many people because of their seeds blowing all over the place during May. These cottony seeds can be nuisance to various types of outdoor activities, pose safely threat to drivers, become fire hazards during prolonged spring dry spells, and cause many types of health hazards of allergy such as sneezing. rhinitis, asthma, and skin rashes. Four control methods can be used to resolve the problem. First, pruning can be a solution, but it is unsatisfactory in terms of costs and outcome. Second, planting of male trees only can be a solution, but it is hard to identify sexes of saplings. Third, female trees can he replaced with other species. But it requires high costs and takes at least ten years to functionally replace the removed ones. As an alternative to such unsatisfactory control methods, the possibility of applying plant growth regulators has been investigated since 1983. During the pre-test, various concentrations and mixtures of them were either sprayed or injected, but failed to achieve any promising results. But the injection of a mixture made up of 0.75g of 2-chloroethane phosphonic acid with 0.2 mg of GA in 300cc water in the end of March produced premature falling of almost all aments and capsules of treated poplars and willows. It was found that the effect of the injection lasts two years. The results of the main experiment of 1987 can be summarized as follows ; First, the injection of the mixture of 2-chloroethane phosphonic acid and GA increases the premature abscisin of aments and capsules, thus reducing the wind dispersal of the cottony seeds of S. pseudolasiogyne, P. tomentiglandulosa, and P. euramericana 1644.09, 1200.61, and 1485.11 times, respectively, than that of the naural abscisin, It is estimated that the average number of wind-blown seeds reduced are approximatively 6,185,100, 4062,900, and 2,830,670 per tree, respectively. Second, the treatment causes no observable side effects on the growth of the samples tested.

  • The study examined the relationship between other-dependent narcissism and road rage experience, and whether the relationship was mediated by maladaptive emotion regulation strategies. In addition, the study investigated whether the experience of road rage differed by gender, and the gender difference was mediated by maladaptive emotion regulation strategies. A total of 209 drivers including 107 males and 102 females completed an online survey composed of Two Dimension Narcissism Scale, Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, and experience of road rage. The main results are as follows: first, blaming others and catastrophizing factors of maladaptive emotion regulation strategies mediated the relationship between other-dependent narcissism and road rage experience. Second, male participants had more experience of road rage than female participants, which was mediated by blaming others factor of maladaptive emotion regulation strategies. Finally, implications and limitations of this study were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the difference of driving pattern between male and female drivers for a straight driving and unexpected situation using driving simulator and motion data. The participants included total 60 university students; 30 males aged 24.3$\pm$1.4 years and 30 females aged 23.2$\pm$1.9 years with 1~3 years of driving experience. The driving task required participants to keep the constant distance (20m, 25m or 30m) with preceding vehicle running at 55~65km/hr speed using driving simulator which was programed unexpected situation for two minutes. Simulator and motion data were acquired. The acquired data was divided in straight driving block for 40 second and unexpected situation block for 2 second. The coefficient of variation (CV) of lane keeping and jerk-cost (JC) function were analyzed for straight driving and unexpected situation blocks. The results show that CV was smaller in males than females for both straight and unexpected situation blocks (p < .05). JC was smaller in females than males for both straight and unexpected situation blocks. As the distance of vehicles become longer, JC was smaller for both male and female (p < .05).

  • Cooperative-Intelligent Transport Systems (c-ITS) has emphasized a real-time traffic safety service in urgent situations among highway infrastructure and four-wheeled vehicles, while two-wheeled vehicles, e.g. bicycles and motorcycle, sharing highway space and endangering highway safety, have yet been out of its interest. This paper delivers the results of a study conducted to analyze the patterns of two-wheeled-vehicle traffic accidents experienced in the past, the last three years (2011~2013), and to propose the types of service enhancing the safety of the riders of those. It was found from the analysis of historical accident data that the side collision on a link section should be taken care of for further safety treatment, while the old female drivers need additional care to decrease their fatality rate. By combining the services proposed for bicycles and motorcycles, this paper proposes (1) eight different bicycle-to-everything (B2X) services which can be eventually provided in c-ITS and (2) three of those that would be available in the near future with the current communication technologies.

  • This study was initiated to solve the difficulties of aged and female workers in agriculture society due to aging and demise of young people. In the case of the conventional elevated lift, the risk of exposure to uneven road or work environment, not the difficulty of professional qualification and operation, and the risk of exposure to the uneven road or working environment, were also studied based on previous researches so that women could easily and efficiently perform productive agriculture. First, the simulation was carried out through the prediction model of traction performance using the object of agricultural forklift, and the soil of the Kimhae city in Gyeongnam (34.125kPa, internal friction angle 35.294deg, external friction angle 13.620deg, Adhesion force 5.750 kPa, average cone index 0-15 cm cl, 1001.8 kPa). In the case of the forklift for simulation, the driving force and the kinetic resistance prediction modeling of the agricultural electric forklift are modeled. Based on this model, the motor control drive adopts the 1232E model, which is a drive dedicated to AC motor, and divides the two drivers into master and slave And the model for the simulation was designed to control motor drive, hydraulic drive, and various outputs on the main PCB. The simulation model is undergoing continuous simulation, modification and supplementation. Based on this research, we will continue research for development of safer and more efficient agricultural electric forklift.

  • Due to the development of communication technology and expansion of Intelligent Transport System (ITS), the car is changing from a simple mechanical device to second living space which has comprehensive convenience function and is evolved into the platform which is playing as an interface for this role. As the interface area to provide various information to the passenger is being expanded, the research importance about smart car based user experience is rising. This study has a research objective to propose the guidelines regarding the smart car user experience elements. In order to conduct this study, smart car user experience elements were defined as function, interaction, and surface and through the discussions of UX/UI experts, 8 representative techniques, 14 representative techniques, and 8 locations of the glass windows were specified for each element. Following, the smart car users' priorities of the experience elements, which were defined through targeting 100 drivers, were analyzed in the form of questionnaire survey. The analysis showed that the users' priorities in applying the main techniques were in the order of safety, distance, and sensibility. The priorities of the production method were in the order of voice recognition, touch, gesture, physical button, and eye tracking. Furthermore, regarding the glass window locations, users prioritized the front of the driver's seat to the back. According to the demographic analysis on gender, there were no significant differences except for two functions. Therefore this showed that the guidelines of male and female can be commonly applied. Through user requirement analysis about individual elements, this study provides the guides about the requirement in each element to be applied to commercialized product with priority.
