In this study we examined the relationships between an elementary schoolchild' cognition, attitude, and the frequency and amount of kimchi consumed. Referring to previous studies, we define cognition as being composed of benefit, identity, and globalization. We examined how each cognition affected attitude, and how attitude affected amount of kimchi consumed, on a scale of preference or non-preference. We confirmed that the 'identity' cognition and 'globalization' cognition of kimchi have a positive effect on 'favorable attitude'. The 'benefit' cognition did not have a significant effect on 'favorable attitude', but it did have a positive effect on 'identity' and 'globalization', which had a significant effect on 'favorable attitude'. We also confirmed that 'favorable attitude' has a positive effect on the 'frequency of kimchi intake' and 'amount of kimchi intake'. Given these results, it is necessary to develop and supply the educational contents that stimulate the identity and globalization of kimchi in order to improve children's intake of kimchi, emphasizing the benefits of consuming kimchi.

This study investigates the differences in advertisement attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intention based on advertising model and consumer product involvement. A total of 100 respondents in high involvement and 100 respondents in low involvement categories were exposed to the advertisements of a cosmetic brand using 4 different model types: celebrity endorser, expertise endorser, ordinary person as an endorser, and no endorser. The experiment was planned as $2{\times}4$ types including high/low involvement and 4 different model types (25 respondents each). After looking at an advertisement for 1 minute, respondents were asked to answer a survey measuring advertisement attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intension. The results of this study showed that 6 hypotheses were supported and there was a significant difference between the high involvement and low involvement group depending on the advertising models used as well as the advertisement that influence advertisement attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intension. High involvement consumers showed the most favorable advertisement attitude on an advertisement with an expertise endorser, but low involvement consumers showed the most favorable advertisement attitude on an advertisement with a celebrity endorser. High involvement consumers showed the most favorable brand attitude on an advertisement with an expertise endorser whereas low involvement consumers showed the most favorable brand attitude on an advertisement with a celebrity endorser. High involvement consumers showed the highest purchase intention on an advertisement with an expertise endorser whereas low involvement consumers showed no difference in purchase intention depending on advertisement models. This study shows that marketers should differentiate advertising strategies based on consumer involvement.

This study investigated country-of-origin effects by comparatively analyzing consumer attitude toward country-of-origin of imported apparel according to apparel product attributes. Fishbein attitude model was used. The effects of consumer characteristics such as attitude of consumers toward general imported apparel and demorgraphic variables on consumer attitude toward country-of-origin were also identified. Italy, U.S.A, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea were used as country of origin. Data were obtained from male and female subjects(total 570) aged mostly 20's. Statistical analysis showed: 1) Apparel product attributes were classified into 3 factors, expressive, instrumental and brand, which are the order of importance for purchasing. 2) Consumer indicated more favorable attitude toward 'made in 'Italy' nd made in 'Korea' in each attribute factor. 'Made in Korea' roducts were evaluated highest in expressive attribute factor but less favored than 'made in Italy' n brand attribute factor. 'Made in U.S.A and made in Japan' were evaluated favorable in instrumental factor, whereas 'made in Hong Kong' had the least favorable attitude in every attribute factor. 3) The uniqueness and good quality of imported apparel appeared to be the most strong variable in predicting consumer attitude toward each country-of-origin. 4) The attitude toward country of origin was different according to sex and age.

This research examines the impact of brand personality dimensions on store attitude and store loyalty for department stores. A total of 431 customers participated in the online survey. The participants were women in their 20's to 50's with experience of purchasing apparel from four major department stores. The data were analyzed using factor analysis, reliability test, and structural equation modeling with PASW 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. Analyses revealed three dimensions of the brand personality of department stores: prestige, passion, and sincerity. Among the three dimensions of brand personality, 'passion' and 'sincerity' were shown to be the most influential factors affecting department store attitude. The results suggest that passionate and sincere customers tend to exhibit favorable store attitudes. Customers with more favorable store attitudes then are more likely to express great store loyalty than those with less favorable attitudes. An analysis of the effect of brand personality on attitudes toward department stores provides implications for department store brand management strategies.
Previous studies showed that traditional attitudes toward consumer credit and the accumulation of debtare declining, especially among younger life stage groups. The social stigma of high debt levels has largely gone. However, only a few researchers have studied and changes in consumers' attitudes toward credit and its determinants. This study investigates factors related to the probability of respondents having favorable or unfavorable attitudes using the 1992-2004 U.S. Surveys of Consumer Finances. A logistic analysis was used since the dependent variables were binary. All other things equal, respondents in 1995, 1998, 2001 and 2004 were significantly less likely to have favorable or unfavorable attitudes toward credit than otherwise similar respondents in 1992, but the patterns did not correspond well to the changes in the bankruptcy rate. Black and Hispanic respondents were more likely to have favorable attitudes and less likely to have unfavorable attitudes than were otherwise similar white respondents, but those in the Other group, mostly Asians, were not significantly different from whites. Respondents with college degrees were less likely to have a positive attitude and more likely to have a negative attitude than those without a college degree. Respondents who took risks with investments were more likely to have a positive attitude and less likely to have a negative attitude than those unwilling to take risks. Implications for understanding of credit use are discussed. This publication was made possible by a generous grant from the NASD Investor Education Foundation.
This study empirically compares the influence of sex-appeal fashion Point-of-Purchase (POP) types on attitude towards advertising. It also highlights the moderating roles of gender and the level of sensation seeking. Three sex-appeal fashion POP types (nude/semi-nude/body conscious) were developed for this study and the interaction effect of the types of sex-appeal fashion POP advertising and gender was tested. In addition, interaction effect of the types of sex-appeal fashion POP advertising and the level of sensation seeking (high/low) was tested. The results found that gender influenced consumer attitudes toward sex-appeal fashion POP advertising type. Male consumers showed a more favorable attitude toward advertising for the nude type than others; however, female consumers showed a more favorable attitude toward advertising for semi-nude and body conscious type than the nude type. The results also found a significant two-way interaction effect of sexual POP advertising types and sensation seeking on attitude toward POP advertising. High sensation seekers preferred nude and semi-nude type POP advertising to body conscious POP advertising. It is useful to investigate how various marketing factors support attitude toward POP advertising in the context of sexual fashion POP advertising and which factors exert the strongest influence within different degrees of nudity.

Method: One hundred and seven nurses in operating rooms in a general hospital in Seoul, Korea were surveyed using a questionnaire. Data was collected and analyzed using SPSS/PC program. Results: The attitude toward the job transfer was generally favorable with a mean of 3.32 out of a 5 point scale in rating the need for job transfer. Among the five domains of attitudes toward job transfer, individual development scored the highest(mean, 3.75). The mean score of job satisfaction in the study participants was rated in a 5 point scale with a mean of 3.12. Among the seven domains of job satisfaction, networking(3.37) scored the highest, followed by the perspective of professional position(3.32). Therefore, it can be said that mutual interaction and professional position are the most important factors for job satisfaction. The correlation between the attitude toward job transfer and job satisfaction showed a positive relationship with a coefficient of 0.210, implying that job satisfaction was higher when the attitude toward transfer was more favorable. Conclusion: From the attitude toward job transfer, individual development and professional improvement was favorable, implying the need for such program.
