In this paper, we propose a new congestion control scheme for high-speed networks. The basic idea of our proposed scheme is to adopt a game theory called, "Minority Game" (MG), to realize a selective reduction of the transmission speed of senders. More concretely, upon detecting any congestion, the scheme starts a game among all senders who are participating in the communication. The losers of the game reduce the transmission speed by a multiplicative factor. MG is a game that has recently attracted considerable attention, and it is known to have a remarkable property so that the number of winners converges to a half the number of players in spite of the selfish behavior of the players to increase its own profit. By using this property of MG, we can realize a fair reduction of the transmission speed, which is more efficient than the previous schemes in which all senders uniformly reduce their transmission speed. The effect of the proposed scheme is evaluated by simulation. The result of simulations indicates that the proposed scheme certainly realizes a selective reduction of the transmission speed. It is sufficiently fair compared to other simple randomized schemes and is sufficiently efficient compared to other conventional schemes.

Electricity Market in Korea can't provide locational price signal through energy price because energy market is CBP(Cost Based Pool) using uniform price. Generators don't want to locate in a densely populated load area(like the metropolitan area). Because they are paid more fixed cost in metropolitan area. This situation has loss and congestion occurred in power system. However energy market without price signal can't lead generator to the metropolitan. So, market participants should be provided price signal through the transmission price instead of energy price. This paper proposes transmission pricing method considering reliability cost in order to offer price signal. Also, it proposes the method to allocate the transmission cost to each transmission line user through a fair and a reasonable manner. The transmission price is decided by the reliability value of each line. If a transmission line of high reliability value is broke, users using that line will get a loss and a discomfort. So, it is fair that users using a transmission line of high reliability value pay more than the other users. Also, it is reasonable that a transmission line owner get paid more form users using that line.

본 논문에서는 ABR(Available Bit Rate) 트래픽의 흐름제어를 방식들을 분석하고, 지연이 큰 PNNI망에서 VS/VD 스위치를 이용하여 효율적으로 ABR 트래픽을 제어하여, 공평한 전송율을 계산할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘에서는 전송율을 계산하기 위하여 정확하고 공평한 분배를 계산할 수 있는 ER(Explicit Rate) 방식의 FMMRA(Fast Max-Min Rate Allocation)를 사용하였다. 그리고, 지연이 많이 된 상태에서도 큐에 있는 셀을 서비스하고 드레인 하기 위하여, VD에서 VS로 전달된 큐 길이 정보를 이용하여 전송율을 계산함으로서 공평한 셀 서비스 분배를 할 수 있었다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 알고리즘의 성능을 평가하였으며, 그 결과 만족할만한 성능을 얻을 수 있었다.

This paper presents a transmission cost allocation through application of a new reliability index in transmission pricing in competitive electric industry. The proposed method allocates a fair use of transmission system charge given separately to individual generator by capacity usage, based on the contribution of individual generator considering N-1 contingency in reliability margin of transmission capacity, and offers more alternatives of pricing in using transmission capacity and transmission margin.

기존의 버퍼 관리 방법은 TCP 트래픽의 "burstness" 특성으로 인해 손실 없는 전송만으로는 GFR이 요구하는 최소 전송률 보장과 공평성을 제공하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 GFR이 요구하는 최소 전송률 보장과 높은 공평성을 제공하기 위하여 기존의 버퍼관리 기법에 퍼지 이론을 적용한 버퍼관리 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 태깅정보, 버퍼 점유량, VC의 부하정도로 구성된 세 개의 파라미터를 이용하여 패킷 폐기를 결정한다. 시뮬레이션 결과 MCR의 크기가 커질수록 제안된 알고리즘의 수율과 공평성이 우수하였으며, 스위치에서 버퍼의 크기 변화에서도 Double-EPD나 DFBA는 비슷한 성능을 보였고, 제안된 알고리즘은 좋은 수율과 공평성을 제공한다.

The Multiuser Eigenmode Transmission (MET) has generated significant interests in literature due to its optimal performance in linear precoding systems. The MET can simultaneously transmit several spatial multiplexing eigenmodes to multiple users which significantly enhance the system performance. The maximum number of users that can be served simultaneously is limited due to the constraints on the number antennas, and thus an appropriate user selection is critical to the MET system. Various algorithms have been developed in previous works such as the enumerative search algorithm. However, the high complexities of these algorithms impede their applications in practice. In this paper, motivated by the necessity of an efficient and effective user selection algorithm, a low complexity recursive user selection algorithm is proposed for the MET system. In addition, the fairness of the MET system is improved by using the combination of the proposed user selection algorithm and the adaptive Proportional Fair Scheduling (PFS) algorithm. Extensive simulations are implemented to verify the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

This study considered the transmission loss and frequency characteristecs of window, and examined the transmission loss for each type of windows to design an optimized window for blocking external noise. Moreover this has detect the transmission loss which depending on the thickness and the types(single and fair glass) of window as several major factors of transmission loss design. With this result, this study suggests a window design guide for much silent condition which is below the level of noise standard recommended.

This paper describes a proposed performance criteria and evaluation procedures for transmission system planning in Korea. Performance criteria of the transmission system are expected to be used as a guideline for investment into a transmission network. Moreover, performance evaluation procedures, which are based on current practices and widely accepted theories, are suggested to achieve fair and acceptable results.
