  • This paper describes the modeling of work environment for the extraction of abstract operation rules for cooperative work with multiple agent. We propose the modeling method using a potential field. In the method, it is applied to a box pushing problem, which is to move a box from a start to a goal b multiple agent. The agents follow the potential value when they move and work in the work environment. The work environment is represented as the grid space. The potential field is generated by Genetic Algorithm(GA) for each agent. GA explores the positions of a potential peak value in the grid space, and then the potential value stretching in the grid space is spread by a potential diffusion function in each grid. However it is difficult to explore suitable setting using hand coding of the position of peak potential value. Thus, we use an evlolutionary computation way because it is possible to explore the large search space. So we make experiments the environment modeling using the proposed method and verify the performance of the exploration by GA. And we classify some types from acquired the environment model and extract the abstract operation rule, As results, we find out some types of the environment models and operation rules by the observation, and the performance of GA exploration is almost same as the hand coding set because these are nearly same performance on the evaluation of the consumption of agent's energy and the work step from point to the goal point.

  • We give a necessary and sufficient condition of a rationally elliptic space X such that the Dold-Lashof classifying space Baut1X for fibrations with the fiber X is rank one. It is only when X has the rational homotopy type of a sphere or the total space of a spherical fibration over a product of spheres.

  • It is well known that every invariant harmonic function on the unit ball of the multi-dimensional complex space has the volume version of the invariant mean value property. In 1993 Ahern, Flores and Rudin first observed that the validity of the converse depends on the dimension of the underlying complex space. Later Lie and Shi obtained the analogues on the unit ball of multi-dimensional real space. In this paper we obtain the half-space analogues of the results of Liu and Shi.

  • Background: Surgery on the lower impacted third molar usually involves trauma in the highly vascularized loose connective tissue area, leading to inflammatory sequelae including postoperative pain, swelling, and general oral dysfunction during the immediate post-operative phase. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of preoperative injection of a single dose of 8 mg dexamethasone for postoperative pain control in lower third molar surgery. Methods: A controlled, randomized, split-mouth, prospective study involving lower third molar surgery was performed in 31 patients. The randomized sampling group was preoperatively injected, after local anesthesia, with a single dose of dexamethasone (8 mg in 2 ml) through the pterygomandibular space; 2 ml of normal saline (with no dexamethasone) was injected as a placebo. Results: The pain VAS score was significantly different on the day of the operation compared to the first post-operative day (P = 0.00 and 0.01, respectively), but it was not significantly different on the third and seventh postoperative day between the control and study groups. There was a significant reduction in swelling on the second postoperative day, and a difference between the second postoperative day and baseline value in the study group (P < 0.05). Trismus was highly significantly different on the second postoperative day and between baseline and second postoperative day between the groups (P = 0.04 and 0.02, respectively). Descriptive statistics and independent-samples t- test were used to assess the significance of differences. Conclusions: Injection of 8 mg dexamethasone into the pterygomandibular space effectively reduced the postoperative pain and other postoperative sequalae.

  • Orthodontic closure of old, edentulous spaces in the mandibular posterior region is a major challenge. In this report, we describe a method of orthodontic closure of edentulous spaces in the mandibular posterior region accelerated by piezoelectric decortication and alveolar ridge expansion. Combined piezosurgical and orthodontic treatments were used to close 14- and 15-mm-wide spaces in the mandibular left and right posterior areas, respectively, of a female patient, aged 18 years and 9 months, diagnosed with skeletal Class III malocclusion, hypodontia, and polydiastemas. After the piezoelectric decortication, segmental and full-arch mechanics were applied in the orthodontic phase. Despite some extent of root resorption and anchorage loss, the edentulous spaces were closed, and adequate function and esthetics were regained without further restorative treatment. Alveolar ridge expansion-assisted orthodontic space closure seems to be an effective and relatively less-invasive treatment alternative for edentulous spaces in the mandibular posterior region.

  • In this paper, we used the supra fuzzy topology which generated from a fuzzy bitopological space [1] to introduce and study the concepts of continuity (resp. openness, closeness) of mapping, separation axioms and compactness for a fuzzy bitopological spaces. Our definition preserve much of the correspondence between concepts of fuzzy bitopological spaces and the associated fuzzy topological spaces.

  • We propose a semi-automatic and dynamic indexing algorithm for multi-media database(e.g. movie files, audio files), which are difficult to create indexes expressing their emotional or abstract contents, according to user's sensitivity by using user's histories of access to database. In this algorithm, we simply categorize data at first, create a vector space of each user's interest(user model) from the history of which categories the data belong to, and create vector space of each data(title model) from the history of which users the data had been accessed from. By continuing the above method, we could create suitable indexes, which show emotional content of each data. In this paper, we define the recurrence formulas based on the proposed algorithm. We also show the effectiveness of the algorithm by simulation result.

  • In this paper, we prove that there are no pseudo null Bertrand curve with curvature functions $k_1(s)=1$, $k_2(s){\neq}0$ and $k_3(s)$ other than itself in Minkowski spacetime ${\mathbb{E}}_1^4$ and by using the similar idea of Matsuda and Yorozu [13], we define a new kind of Bertrand curve and called it pseudo null (1,3)-Bertrand curve. Also we give some characterizations and an example of pseudo null (1,3)-Bertrand curves in Minkowski spacetime.

  • In space diversity combining, conventional methods such as maximal ratio combining (MRC), equal gain combining (EGC) and selection combining (SC) are commonly used to improve the output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) provided that the channel is perfectly estimated at the receiver. However, in practice, channel estimation is often imperfect and this indeed deteriorates the system performance. In this paper, diversity combining techniques based on two evolutionary algorithms, namely genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) are proposed and compared. Numerical results indicate that the proposed methods outperform the conventional MRC, EGC and SC methods when the channel estimation is imperfect while it shows similar performance as that of MRC when the channel is perfectly estimated.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new kind of slant helix for null curves called null $W_n$-slant helix and we give a definition of new harmonic curvature functions of a null curve in terms of $W_n$ in (n + 2)-dimensional Lorentzian space $M^{n+2}_1$ (for n > 3). Also, we obtain a characterization such as: "The curve ${\alpha}$ s a null $W_n$-slant helix ${\Leftrightarrow}H^{\prime}_n-k_1H_{n-1}-k_2H_{n-3}=0$" where $H_n,H_{n-1}$ and $H_{n-3}$ are harmonic curvature functions and $k_1,k_2$ are the Cartan curvature functions of the null curve ${\alpha}$.
