  • In this study, we have investigated the possibility of whether any Frenet plane of a given space curve in a 3-dimensional Euclidean space $\mathbb{E}_3$ also is any Frenet plane of another space curve in the same space. We have obtained some characterizations of a given space curve by considering nine possible case.

  • To model a numerical problem space under the limitation of available data, we need to extract sparse but key points from the space and to efficiently approximate the space with them. This study proposes a sampling method based on the search process of genetic algorithm and a space modeling method based on least-squares approximation using the summation of Gaussian functions. We conducted simulations to evaluate them for several kinds of problem spaces: DeJong's, Schaffer's, and our original one. We then compared the performance between our sampling method and sampling at regular intervals and that between our modeling method and modeling using a polynomial. The results showed that the error between a problem space and its model was the smallest for the combination of our sampling and modeling methods for many problem spaces when the number of samples was considerably small.

  • The aim of this work is to introduce for the first time the concept of D-set. This is done by defining a special type of cover called a D-cover. we present some results to study the properties of D-compact spaces and their relations with other topological spaces. Several examples are discussed to illustrate and support our main results. Our results extend and generalized many will known results in the literature.

  • In this paper, we give a geometric approach to Killing magnetic flux surfaces in Euclidean 3-space and solve the differential equations which expressed the mentioned surfaces. Furthermore we give some examples and draw their pictures by using the programme Mathematica.

  • This paper deals with a new method to derive the Generalized Jacobian Matrix of a space robot. In a conventional method to derive the Generalized Jacobian Matrix, generalized coordinates select Joint angles and a space robot body's position and attitude angle. But, in this paper, we select position and attitude angle of the end-effector or the handled floating object as generalized coordinates. Then, we can derive the Generalized Jacobian Matrix of the system which consists of several space robots and a handled floating object. Moreover control methods operated by only one space robot can be easily extended to the cases of cooperation task by several space robots. Computer simulations show that the Generalized Jacobian Matrix derived here is effective.

  • Factorable surfaces, i.e. graphs associated with the product of two functions of one variable, constitute a wide class of surfaces in differential geometry. Such surfaces in the pseudo-Galilean space with zero Gaussian and mean curvature were obtained in [2]. In this study, we provide new results relating to the factorable surfaces with non-zero constant Gaussian and mean curvature.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concept of M*-metric spaces and how much the M*-metric and the b-metric spaces are related. Moreover, we introduce some ways of generating M*-metric spaces. Also, we investigate some types of convergence associated with M*-metric spaces. Some common fixed point for contraction and generalized contraction mappings in M*-metric spaces. Our work has been supported by many examples and an application.
